1. BOBJ Challenge: Identifying, validating and moving new enhancements (e.g. let’s say objects, Tables, joints, conditions, etc.) into production environment can be time consuming, tedious and costly process.Using UMT: Visual interface is used to identify exact changes and move them to the Production universe.- Tracking and managing the changes (with move log and difference log generation) 2. BOBJ Challenge: No method to identify the extent of the impact of changes on the reports in the repository and also the reports that analysts have created for their own purpose. In BO the only option is that the user has is to pick one report at a time and check to see if this object is used. Using UMT: An in- depth solution to identify the exact set of change related impacts. Users will be able to identify the reports that are getting impacted on account of a change screen. This could depend on a specific change to the database column or an object or a condition in the universe.their impact upon the existing infrastructure- Log additions, modifications and deletions to the physical schema- Visually update the universe with the above changes

4. BOBJ Challenge: One of the major risk areas when a universe is being published to the repository is the new changes overriding the existing universe. Designer does not provide a way to save a version of the existing universe as a backup in case the user wants to revert the changes.Using UMT: Version control feature of the UMT tool allows user to go back to a previous version from the interface. The user can restore a previous version of the universe or do a comparison of the current version with the historical version as well. 5. BOBJ Challenge: Only 1 Developer can work on the universe at a time.Using UMT: Multiple developers can work in parallel. - This accelerates development time- Improves accuracy (we can eliminate cut-past errors)
