The course is designed to produce multi-tasking digital photographers with theoretical and

practical knowledge in digital photography, using different types of digital cameras, lighting,

and to photo editing software.

Students undergoing any studies can use this as a value added programme and will

be eligible for credit transfer.

The course consists of 15 hours of online demo-lecture and 75 hours of on-campus

practice. (On campus workshop is expected to complete in 10 full days)

The online demo-lecture will be conducted for a maximum duration of two hours a

day on Saturdays and Sundays.

Compulsory to participate in the skill enhancing workshops conducted on campus.

The softcopy of the study materials will be provided.

For effective participation possession of a digital camera will be of great advantage.

Students will get hands-on training in portraiture, nature photography, press

photography, and lighting.

Personal attention and guidance by a team of reputed professional photographers

drawn from diverse specialisations in photography.

Comprehensive exposure to - photography theory, camera operations, lighting, and

photo editing software.

One-to-one mentoring and personal skilling throughout the course.

to pictures to become a professional;

The minimum requirement for the candidate shall be a pass in plus two.

All the candidates seeking admission shall register in the admission portal on the

website of Marian College Kuttikkanam Autonomous (www.mariancollege.org).

Admission for the allotted seats will be based on a "first-come, first-serve basis".

The students will be first admitted provisionally to the course.

Confirmation of admission will be after the verification of the credentials submitted

and a personal interview.

To confirm the admission advance payment of the full fee is necessary. Fee once

paid will not be refunded.

The total fee of the course will be Rs 9,000, including admission and certificate.

No additional postal charge (within India) for the course certificate.

The fee does not cover any boarding and lodging fees.

RESOURCE PERSONS

SUNILKUMAR PV

BIJU MOHAN G

Sunil Kumar PV is a cinematographer and academician who

was the former Head of the Photography and Cinematography

department in the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO).

He has a Diploma in Film Technology (Cinematography), from

the Film and Television Institute of Tamilnadu, Chennai, and

did his MA in Journalism and Mass Communication from the

University of Madras. Before joining ISRO, he was working in

the Tamil film industry as a cinematographer for 5 years. He

has conducted several cinematography workshops in

Universities, Colleges, and Television Channels for training the

students and the technicians.

Biju Mohan G is an academician and a Youtuber. He took his

MSc in Physics and has a PG Diploma in Science and

Development Communication. He was a former media

consultant at the Centre for Development of Imaging

Technology (C-DIT- Government of Kerala), former Executive

Director in Media one Academy, Kerala, former Deputy

Director in Jahangirabad Media Institute, Uttar Pradesh,

former Creative Producer at Amrita E-Learning Research Lab,

and former Project Officer in Vigyan Prasar, Dept. of Science

and Technology, Government of India.

Syed Shiyaz Mirza is a freelance Video and Photo Journalist and

technology writer for the online editions. He obtained a Diploma

in Applied Electronics from Model Polytechnic College,

Karunagappally, and BTech in Electronics and Communication

Engineering from CUSAT. He is a technology columnist in Digit,

Manorama Online, and Mathrubhumi and has his own blog

syedshiyazmirza.com about technology, education, tourism,

media, and photography. He has worked as an Assistant

Engineer in Asianet and is an Academic Counselor in IGNOU.

Raghuram is a nature photographer specialized in nature wide

scape, action and travel photography. He completed BSc. in

Visual Communication and did a PG Diploma in Science and

Development Communication. He has expertise in Adobe

Lightroom.

Gireesh SR is an experienced photo editor and animator. He has a

Diploma in Digital Video Technology. He is specialized in Adobe

Photoshop, Maya, and 3DS Max. He is also a faculty in photo

software.

Ummer P is a graphics designer and photo editor. He has BA in

Mass Communication and Journalism and a Diploma in Digital

Media Productions. He is an experienced news cameraman,

photo editor, and graphic designer. He is also a faculty in

Designing tools.

AJEEB KOMACHI

GIREESH G V

Being a News Photographer, Shri P Musthafa has nearly five

decades of experience in capturing many national and

international events for news features. Received more than

50 awards. He has conducted many photo exhibitions on

various themes. Worked in Malayala Manorama as Chief

Photographer and as Photographer in Kerala Kaumudi. Now,

he is a known guest faculty in many colleges.

A well-known photographer who has won many State and

National awards. A former photographer in Madhyamam later

took up different positions in the field of photography. A

passionate follower of true art, Ajeeb Komachi is an art and

literary enthusiast and is a veteran in wildlife and architectural

photography.

Gireesh GV is a well-known photographer and artist who

works in New Delhi. He worked with Outlook, India Today,

Forbes, and contributed to The Wall Street Journal Mint and

Life Positive in various capacities. Also published works

internationally in Time and Newsweek magazines. After

working for 24 years as a visual storyteller, presently he is

working on his personal book project.

Marian College Kuttikkanam Autonomous was founded in 1995 and is affiliated with

Mahatma Gandhi University. It is owned and managed by the Catholic Diocese of

Kanjirappally. Marian became the youngest accredited college in India in 2003 and at

present, the college is re-accredited with an A grade and CGPA 3.52/4 by the National

Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) in 2014. The college won the prestigious

status of the College with Potential for Excellence (CPE) from the University Grants

Commission (UGC) in 2009 and 2014.

Autonomous is one of the youngest departments in the college. The department offers MA
