Ceramic foil faced blanket (MG) products, A, B and C arebased on our high solubility vitreous wool blankets which arethen reprocessed at our specialist manufacturing facilities.Aluminium foil and glass cloth are attached in a processdesigned to apply less pressure to the blanket surface duringapplication of the adhesive coating and foil/cloth. The resultingproducts are suited to use in fire protection applications, as avapour barrier in some furnaces and kilns, as a chimney linerin fireplace kits and as a light duty heat curtain.

Classification Temperature is not a definition of the operational limit of these

products, especially when long term physical or dimensional stability is a factor.

For applications such as hot face furnace linings operational limits are generally

significantly reduced. In such cases please contact Sealumet office for advice.

Ceramic Foil Faced Blanket (MG)

Conductivity Data measured according to ENV 1094 – 7:1994

A- Ceramic Blanket with a 30 micron aluminium foil bondedto one surface with a non-smoking and non-combustibleinorganic adhesive.

B- As for Ceramic Blanket B but with a square grid glassfibre reinforcing mesh added between the foil and theblanket. This product should be used with extra resistanceto tearing is needed. Ceramic Blanket B is non-combustible.

C- Ceramic Blanket C has a 230 gsm glass fibre clothbonded to one surface with a non-smoking inorganicadhesive. C Blanket is non-combustible and is ideal foruse where extra surface durability is required or if adecorative coating is to be applied.
