Ceramic foil faced blanket (MG) products, A, B and C are based on our high solubility vitreous wool blankets which are then reprocessed at our specialist manufacturing facilities. Aluminium foil and glass cloth are attached in a process designed to apply less pressure to the blanket surface during application of the adhesive coating and foil/cloth. The resulting products are suited to use in fire protection applications, as a vapour barrier in some furnaces and kilns, as a chimney liner in fireplace kits and as a light duty heat curtain. For applications such as hot face furnace linings operational limits are generally significantly reduced. In such cases please contact Sealumet office for advice. B- As for Ceramic Blanket B but with a square grid glass fibre reinforcing mesh added between the foil and the blanket. This product should be used with extra resistance to tearing is needed. Ceramic Blanket B is non- combustible. C- Ceramic Blanket C has a 230 gsm glass fibre cloth bonded to one surface with a non-smoking inorganic adhesive. C Blanket is non-combustible and is ideal for use where extra surface durability is required or if a decorative coating is to be applied.
