    Loan Administrator/Loan Officer (Village Capital Corporation)

    RESPONSIBILITIES: Providing effective and timely management of VCC's loan servicing andportfolio administration, as well as competent loan underwriting as described belowLOAN SERVICING: Utilizing VCC's loan portfolio software (The Executive Assistant, TEA),to perform, at a minimum, the following tasks:Invoice borrowers per the terms of their loan agreements and record in TEA.Track payments weekly and post payments timely in VCC's loan portfolio software, TEA.Reconcile VCC's loan portfolio software (TEA) with accounting staff at the end of each month.Provide payoff requests as needed.Process audit confirmations as needed.PORTFOLIO ADMINISTRATION:Working with TEA reports, execute the following tasks:

    Manage correspondence with borrowers regarding impending loan maturities.Manage correspondence with borrowers regarding VCC's Board actions.Manage portfolio tracking log for new loan commitments and pending loan modifications.Manage portfolio delinquencies.Manage activities related to the close-out of active loans, to include mortgage releases,termination/return of promissory notes, cancellation of guarantees and related actions.Process and remit payments as required for Participation loans.Prepare periodic reporting to investors, as required per the terms of the grant/loan documents.Prepare/provide all necessary performance tracking/portfolio and customized reportingrequirements for VCC's annual CARS evaluation, the CDFI fund, and Participations as needed.LOAN UNDERWRITING: Utilizing competent skills, execute the following tasks:

    Underwrite requests for new loans and modification requests for existing loans.Provide technical assistance to borrowers in the form of project feasibility and financialstructuring.Close financial transactions.Manage VCC's Annual loan portfolio credit risk rating.Participate in VCC's Loan Committee.STAFF SUPPORT: Provide general staff support relating to:Preparing presentations, forecasts, and reports to the VCC Board, funders, etc.Assisting with VCC's Annual Social Impact Study.Preparing VCC's quarterly/annual reporting requirements for Participation Loans.Work collaboratively with staff to promote overall mission of Village Capital Corporation.

    OTHER: Other duties as assigned.QUALIFICATIONS: In addition to possessing the following criteria, candidate must be a self-starter in a fast-paced environment, with the ability to take initiative as well as be a team player.Minimum Bachelor's degree or related experience in finance, community and/or economicdevelopment, housing, real estate, or urban studies.
