Centre for Environment Education(CEE) was established in 1984 as Centre of Excellence in Environment Education (EE) of Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change (MoEFCC), Government of India. CEE has around 40 offices in the country with 6 Regional offices, several state and field offices. The journey of CEE in Rajasthan dates back to 1987 with Sariska Environment Education Programme in Alwar. Since then, CEE has been coordinating a variety of environmental activities for diverse section of society. Facilitating yoiung green from 8250 eco-clubs as State Resource Agency Strengthening education for susutianble development via capacity building of teachers for Project base learning Greening of text books and curricular transactions :Strengthening Environment Education in School System with State Institute of Education Research and Training (SIERT), Board of Secondary Education, Rajasthan and S tate Department of Education, Rajasthan Internship programme for students from various disciplines Jal Jeevan Hai campaign covering 6550 villages across 27 districts for promoting water conservation and sustainable agriculture Onsite training for implementation of healthcare waste management (HCWM) in 759 public health centres in 16 districts Lakes and Wetlands of Rajasthan depicting 45 water bodies from various agro-climatic zones of Rajasthan: a publication with Department of Environment, Rajasthan.
