ONE . Who is Ferris?

I am a woman of Faith, a singer/songwriter and a curvy model. I am an individual who is obsessed with the arts and

passionate about people.

TWO. How would you describe your style of music?

I have a lot of strong country and pop influence in my music. The production feels more country to me because I

am drawn to live instrumentation instead of synthesized production - and I’m known for the catchy pop-style hooks

that stick in your head!

THREE. Who or what inspires you?

My family because they never stop supporting or guiding me. My fiance’ Ferrell knows what it’s like to have a big

dream, so he pushes me to keep going and never settle… and the thought of performing at the Grammy’s always

motivates me!!

5 Things She Can’t Live Without!

1. My family

2. My iPod (which doubles as a house for my music and a

camera for my Instagram obsession)

3. Caramel rice-cakes & JIF creamy peanut butter

4. My MacBook Pro

5. A blanket my mom made for me in 8th grade – still

comes with me on every road trip

FOUR. What would you say is your favourite or best piece of work

that you have created?

My brother Grant and I recently wrote a song called “You Stupid Heart

of Mine.” It’s a song that speaks to the relationship you have with your

heart instead of the relationship with the other person. It’s probably

the most emotionally charged and complex thing I’ve ever written, and

I am incredibly proud of it.

FIVE. What would you say is your greatest accomplishment either

business or personal?

Graduating from college. No matter what I do in life, no one can take

away my education, and that sense of accomplishment is the best

feeling ever. Also, I am excited as hell because in October I am

marrying my better half. I am so proud to become his wife.

SIX. What is a typical day for Ferris?

Every day you’re sure to find me running on the treadmill jammin’ to

good music, cooking, writing new material, watching reality TV (don’t

judge me!) and rehearsing with my brother, Grant.

SEVEN. How do you relax? What do you love to do in your down

time?

Regardless of the activity, I love to be with my family. My ultimate

favorite “down time” is at our family lake house in Wisconsin. I utterly

disappear and mentally escape there.

EIGHT. Is music your only love? Your only ambition? Or is there

something else that you are, or would like to pursue?

Music is my true love. My biggest ambition is being a positive role

model for women through my music, but I am obsessed with all things

artistic (fashion, cooking, theatre, etc.) As long as my career is

entertainment and art based (where I can utilize my degree) I’ll be

happy!

NINE. You have a beautiful curvy body; do you see this as having its

challenges in the Industry that you are in?

I think curvy is SEXY!! I used to see it as a challenge, but now I see it as

an opportunity to stand out and stand up for women. I want to

encourage our society to see beyond skin & dig deeper. Period.

TEN. If you could perform a duet with anyone in the World, who

would it be and why?

Gary LeVox from Rascal Flatts. His voice single-handedly made me fall

in love with Country Music. I love his music, philanthropic ventures,

his Faith and his God given voice… it often leaves me paralyzed.
