A NOTE OF THANKS

HERE AT HOLY FAMILY

H C F . W ’ 90 B ! In honor of Father Welzbacher’s 90th birthday (on June 13th), Holy Family will host a reception following the 11:00 AM Mass on Sunday, June 10th, in Fr. Moorman Hall. All are welcome! During the reception, we will present him with a beautiful Spiritual Bouquet binder. All parishioners are invited to pray for Fr. Welzbacher and decorate a page (writing down any offered prayers, Masses, birthday greetings, etc., on one or both sides) for the Spiritual Bouquet binder, using the cardstock paper available in the back of church and parish office. All Spiritual Bouquet pages are due in the office by noon on Wednesday, June 6th.

6

W D A Z ! One of the newly-ordained transitional deacons at the Saint Paul Seminary has been assigned to Holy Family for the summer. He will serve here until mid-August. God willing, he will be ordained a priest for our archdiocese in May 2019. Please pray for him and help welcome him to our parish!

Note from Deacon Andrew Zipp:

I grew up in Saint Michael, MN where I attended the parish school until 6th grade. I am the oldest of seven kids and my youngest brother is 6. I went into the public school for middle school and started to get involved in with the youth group in my home parish then. I received a great Catholic education and the faithful example from my parents really helped me to respond with generosity when I first felt God calling me to be a priest after my freshman year of high school. In high school I was involved in Boy Scouts and I am an Eagle Scout. The skills I learned through scouting have served me well, from camping, to sewing, to leadership. Though I didn’t do any sports in high school I am an avid Twins fan. I have been blessed to study in Rome through the Catholic Studies program at St. Thomas. My time in Rome was incredible and I made some great friendships during my time abroad. I am really looking forward to serving at Holy Family this summer and getting to know many of you. ~Deacon Andrew Zipp

PARISH GROUP EVENTS: R S O ! At our Parish Spring Dinner, we open several Group Events. These events give parishioners a chance to get together in different settings, and the ticket sales benefit the church! We would like to extend our sincere gratitude for all the prayers and support that you, Holy Family parishioners and friends, have given us during the last month of Dad's life and since his passing. Thank you for the cards, gifts, hugs, and food. Thank you to the choir for the lovely music, the altar servers, and all who helped with Deacon Mike's funeral. And a special thank you to Father Joseph Johnson and Deacon Jim Meyer, Father Welzbacher and Father Milless. You bring comfort to us in our sorrow. And keep the hugs coming! We miss his hugs. ~ Sincerely, Deacon Mike's family
