We have designed the site in such a way that the probability of a returning customer
will be almost 100%. We have concentrated much on the user experience so that the whole
process of buying would be made simple and does not consume a lot of time for the
customer. The design and look of the site have been given utmost importance especially
since we have only 2 seconds to impress a customer and we fare well in that matter
because of our technical team’s finesse. Ordering a greeting card for a loved one including
the personalization options takes a matter of a few seconds to order a card. The buyer
experience is smooth and leaves a strong impression on the buyer.
Features that make it a STAND OUT!
Our clients had requested for a huge trove of selections for greeting cards. Our focus
was to have as many Greeting card collections as possible and make it possible that the
huge volume does not eat up on the speed of the system and its satisfying for us as well as
for our client to see that there are no shortfalls in this context. We have also added the
Shopping Cart feature where the user can add an item which he/she wants to purchase.

The user can register in the site either by using the Facebook login credentials or
can register directly on to the site using his personal details. All the information of the
Facebook friends including their Date of Birth is directly incorporated into their Doodle
account and can be used as reminders to send birthday cards via courier or on their
friend’s Facebook wall and this always come in handy after all we are all humans and tend
to forget those all important dates.
The admin page of the website has the option wherein new items could be added on
demand. The stock available with the company can also be tracked on the admin side.
There are a variety of categories in which a customer can personalize a card and
give for their loved ones. A thank you card for inviting over for lunch. In a lighthearted
mood, send a card that will have your friend laughing all over. You would like to tell your
mother that your love for her knows no bounds- well; we are there for you with our special
Mother’s day cards. We have cards for all occasions including religious festivals. Our clients
were especially satisfied when we offered suggestions on various other categories of cards
that could be included and they graciously accepted our suggestions on it and we gleefully
included it. Throughout the time when we were working on this project, we had a pleasant
relationship with our clients.
We have added security options for the purchase of any product. Our customer’s
clients need not worry about their money going into the wrong hands. The payment page is
automatically redirected to the page of Visa/MasterCard during payment. There is also the
option where a customer can pay by SMS facility too when they wish to send a single card
to their friend’s Facebook wall.
A customer after browsing through the list of products can send it to his/her friend
in three ways: Send it via courier, send it to his Facebook wall or send it to his Facebook
wall and to his address through courier. A lot of options that!
We have also integrated Google Analytics into the website that helps our client to
track the number of visitors to the site. It is also used to find the percentage of people who

use the option of sending a card to a friend via courier or send the greeting card directly to
the recipient’s Facebook wall or any other social media which has been made available.
The total sales made, the pending orders, the Facebook users, General Users and all
other critical data which will help a long way for our clients to improve upon the services
provided. It keeps track of everything under the sun that is extremely useful for the
business owners. It helps our client to know which are the most purchased cards and using
all this available data many conclusions can be made regarding the customer’s mindset
while purchasing. For e.g., by using all these data, the business owners can create a page
which lists the top purchased card or create competitions of different kinds increasing the
curiosity level of anybody who comes and visits this website thereby automatically
increasing sales.

Conclusion:
We understood the requirements of our clients after having many brainstorming
sessions of getting their requirements. We wanted to be sure that we did not leave out any
functionality that our clients wanted and we are happy that in the end our produce was
exactly what our client thought of. Our biggest challenge was to create a website that would
consist of loads of image but should not be looking cluttered and we are proud that we did
a good job on this with our clients beaming! One of the highlights of this project is that a
customer can create a flip card and send it directly to their friend’s Facebook wall, their
Twitter page or to their email.
