    Paper 2 Part 2 - Proposal

    PROPOSALS and reports have a similar layout (see reports in thissame section). Reports are based on current circumstances or situationswhereas proposals are action plans for the future. You give morespace to the current situation in a report and more space torecommendations for future actions in a proposal.

    The college is planning to introduce a special course for students planning to spend time studying in another country. The college principalinvites students to send a proposal outlining any problems students mayface whe studying abroad and suggesting ways in which the course could address these problems. A decision can then be made about what toinclude on the course.

    tudents re5uire additional help with topic selection and presentationstructure, and opportunities need to be provided for students to gaine&perience in front of others.

    presentation for those who are interested.

    practise their presentations in small groups.
