And this is what our customers

"Since January 2014, we have been successfully using the ICV 4030 in the production of temples. Particularly commendable is that we could start working with this machine immediately. The machine operators were familiar with the control after just a short induction time. It is also top class when it comes to surface quality and repetition accuracy, as well as machining time."

"With the procurement of the ICP, it has been possible to replace extensive conventional drilling and milling technology in our production. The ICP 3020 operates in just the smallest space without complication, entirely fault-free, is low maintenance and requires minimal set-up work. Thanks to the isyCAM training in Eiterfeld, as a complete beginner we have been able to work on a CNC-controlled system from day one. Excellent service, excellent team, great value for money and made in Germany too"

André Schwolow, Managing Director

Obrira - Low Vision Rathenow

"An FE project begins with planning the required devices and equipment. Within the framework of a collaborative project, KI Keramik-Institut GmbH was set to embark on the development of a ceramic rotor disc and required a CNC machine for this purpose with a particularly high degree of flexibility and expandability. We decided to opt for the EuroMod from imes-icore GmbH, which met the very special requirements in our project entirely."

The GPV/GPY series machines are tried and tested 5-axis systems! Today's applications demand a machine concept that is versatile in use for up to 5-axis processing on the one hand, whilst also offering large processing surfaces and correspondingly large travel ranges. The system should of course also be economical and cheap to procure, and suitable for expansion with additional applications for the future. Nothing more simple than that: through the countless possible combinations of the machine frame with linear axes and rotating axes, it has been possible to realise a unique and flexible design. The interesting parts of the GPV CNC machine range are the double-sided driven Y and Z axes with very high Z clearance. The application area and milling materials are similar to those of the GFV systems. Through the stable cross member, the system concept could have been created especially for 5-axis processing (4th/5th axis as a rotating/swivelling head).

The MMF machine range was specially developed for model, prototype and mould construction. High structural stiffness was the priority here. This results from the solid design. Equipped with a fork head as 4th or 5th axis, the MMF is ideally suited for the 5-side processing and milling large volume workpieces. The co-ordinated functions such as jerk control, speed and acceleration pre-settings, look-ahead rail control and simultaneous tool orientation enable the best use of the technology and optimised alignment with changing requirements when it comes to speed, accuracy and surface quality.

The PREMIUM 4030µ graphite is the ideal machine concept for milling graphite and copper electrodes. Based on the PREMIUM 4030µ, all essential points of high-speed cutting are combined in this CNC system, so that the performance of this machining process can be fully utilised. The high stability required for HSC milling is attained through the solid granite table with steel substructure. Granite is a natural stone that provides all characteristics that are required as the base for a precision machine: high damping, high thermal stability and high compressive strength. Linear guides and linear motors are installed outside the working area. An arrangement that additionally protects these components against chips and abrasive fine dusts. Furthermore, extraction of the fine dust generated during processing takes place particularly efficiently with Tornado power, due to the variable arrangement of the extraction cyclone. Another highlight: the PREMIUM 4030µ graphite is compatible with all zero point clamping systems. The electrode retainers and changer systems of all renowned manufacturers (Hirschmann, EROWA, 3R, etc.) can be integrated upon request. The rapid control technology required for HSC processing is optionally provided by i-8000 or Heidenhain®.

Extraction technology is increasingly gaining in significance. When utilised correctly and perfectly designed for the respective application, it provides enormous advantages:

• Extraction system for special dusts• Production interruptions (downtimes plus cleaning work), resulting from

frequent cleaning work on the CNC system, are significantly reduced by automatic cleaning

• Premature wear and unnecessary defects in high-value components (axes, control, accessory components) are avoided.

Extraction systems

The aspect of health should always be the priority. Fine dust is generated with many applications, visible as deposits on level surfaces. However, the fact that respirable fine dust in the intake area of the CNC system swirls invisibly in the air is often underestimated.

customised machines

CNC system with integrated shuttle table and monitoring with light barrier

The base of a custom machine may for example have entirely different dimensions to a serial machine, e.g. different travel paths, clearance heights, table cut-outs, front clamping areas (for extremely tall parts), shuttle tables or axes arrangements for the in-line process.

It is possible to integrate automatic part feeds, connections to handling systems or robot equipment for unmanned production. The required communication with external control systems is guaranteed through a wide range of free inputs/outputs, a superordinate PLC and the open NC command scope.

Upon request, we can complement the automation system with clamping and extraction technology, as well as aligned user interfaces or input screens, so that the CNC system can be operated by any level of user. Typical applications may include a simple input screen for selecting the article to be milled, article number management, the number of repetitions or a barcode/data matrix connection. The

perfectly tailored components therefore facilitate customer-specific CNC machine systems that are also tailored to the application for industrial series production. CNC systems with an integrated shuttle table and monitoring with light barrier for integration in production lines or to connect equipping machines are also possible.

Thanks to the unique, modular and flexible design of the machine systems, we are able to plan and implement tailored CNC automation solutions for industrial production within just a short time, according to your wishes and requirements.

Save time with two working areas

The custom machine, with the legally protected metal/granite sandwich construction for the moving axes (gantry and crossbeam), is based on the proven machine concept of imes-icore GmbH. The axes drive on high-precision linear guides that are mounted on a solid steel/granite machine table. This results in maximum stiffness with simultaneous weight savings. Extensive dynamics and a high degree of running quietness are attained with the driven nuts on the circulating ball screw. AC servo motors are used as drives here. The powerful ES915 spindle with SK 30 tool holder permits tools with a diameter of 20 mm to be clamped. The benefit of this machine concept is obvious: With our 3-axis system, you have access to two separate machine tables. By protecting the individual work tables, it is possible to load and unload one side while a machining process takes place on the other side. The machine standstill times are reduced to a minimum in this way. The co-ordinated functions such as jerk control, speed and acceleration pre-settings, and look-ahead rail control enable optimised utilisation of the technology and alignment with changing requirements when it comes to speed, accuracy and surface quality.

We offer our customers the possibility of finding solutions especially tailored to their needs. This also applies to selecting the right pump for waterjet systems. Choose from a wide range of models, from economical pumps with an output of 7.5 kW to extremely high capacity pumps with an output of up to 93 kW and 6200 bar. We currently work with three renowned pump manufacturers. UHDE - places the highest demands on material and processing. BHDT - delivers not only impressive outputs but also saves up to 15 % energy through modern drive concepts. Or KMT, who are able to generate 6200 bar with their Waterjet PRO ultra high pressure range. However, we are particularly proud of our own pumps. We presently offer two extremely compact and economical pumps with outputs of 7.5 kW and 22 kW - of course, they are made in Germany.

We offer various equipment options from renowned suppliers, such as the proven abrasive equipment from Allfi or KMT. We offer solutions from Metallbau Müller for abrasive desludging options. From simple designs to complex systems, these also enable the water level to be regulated infinitely.

An optical positioning laser, which enables perfect positioning parallel to the cutting head, is also popular. Of course, we are also happy to supply you with individual accessories that we have produced ourselves.

imes-icore GmbH has two aligned cutting head systems available for various 5-axis waterjet processing tasks. Both systems carry out movement around the TCP (tool centre point) and therefore save a large amount of space.

The 10° 5-axis head was developed in order to minimise effects that are detrimental to the cutting results in the cutting angle at very high cutting speeds, as can arise with very high pressures of up to 6200 bar. The effect of this is that the cutting edge no longer runs vertically to the material surface. In order to achieve a quality cut at these high speeds regardless of this, the necessary movements of the cutting head must be implemented highly dynamically, without corrections in X, Y and Z. Through the unique design principle, it is possible to cut endless numbers of "spirals" without a return movement being required. The imes-icore in-house developed movement mechanism is particularly space-efficient by limiting the working angle to a maximum of ± 10°, and can therefore be retrofitted to existing machines. The 45° 5-axis head is available with a true 45° cutting device. This enables 2.5D or 3D cuts to be carried out on panel material. The swivel movement is also carried out around the TCP. During the entire cutting procedure, a tailored height sensing system ensures a constant distance between the water outlet and the workpiece surface. This system also enables the user to correct the cutting angle.

iCUTwater 5-axis headWaterjet system accessories

iCUTwater tube cutting devicePipe processing with an abrasive waterjet requires a number of features, in order to guarantee an industrial production process. imes-icore GmbH therefore offers its own auxiliary module for your flat material waterjet systems, which enables tube processing without damaging the inside of the tube and without using the customary sacrificial material.

This patented process works quietly and splash-free beneath the water level and requires no costly and vulnerable fourth axis. The pipe is moved purely mechanically without an additional drive. The specialised controller only

reads in processed 3D drawings for this. However, the operator without CAD experience can also prepare pipe processing in just a few seconds with macro support. Because the tube cutting device is an additional module, the waterjet system can change between tube and flat material processing with just a few manual adjustments.

Even more flexible with the iCUTwater tube cutting device!

Laser sources

The iCompVAC combines a powerful extraction system with brushless turbines and an oil-free compressor that enables the laser cutting systems to be operated directly. It is triggered automatically when the program starts and ends.

We offer the iVAC extraction system for laser marking. This is an economical option for safely removing vapours that are harmful to health from the machine. The large integrated carbon filter enables fine dust to be filtered and rarely requires replacement.

The fundamental core piece of a laser system is the laser. The customer's planned application normally determines the selection of the laser source. In order to enable our customers to obtain the ideal combination of machine and laser source, we work with leading manufacturers of laser sources such as FEHA, SPI and IPG.

isyCAM 2.8

Operation is "Windows®-like" with graphic menus and dialogue boxes. The CAD part contains all functions necessary for designing in the 2.5D range. In the CAM part, the designs are converted directly into processing data for the machine controller, e.g. pockets and contour processing, engraving and drilling. These can then be issued to the connected machine or controller without detours, using the WIN® Remote operating and output software.

• General design • Machine construction • Tool construction • Electrical engineering • Engraving technology • Artistic design • Orthopaedics

Application fields:

The software package offered is optimised for getting into the CAD/CAM world.

isyCAM 2.8 offers a general solution from design through to processing, as well as for prototyping in the 2.5D range and limited 3D range. Comprehensive import/export options and a wide range of font types complete the CAD part.

The general digital configuration together with integrated digital drive regulation including converter enables fast processing speeds combined with top contour precision - in particular when processing 2D contours or 3D shapes. Depending on the respective spindle output and other process data, the iTNC uses AFC adaptive feed control to control the rail feed automatically. This optimises the processing time, supports tool monitoring and protects the machine mechanism.

The TNC 320 is a compact yet diverse rail controller with four, or optionally five, controlled axes. Due to its flexible operating concept of workshop-orientated programmability in the Heidenhain® plain text dialogue or external programming and its performance scope, it is perfectly suited for use on universal milling and drilling machines. The 15-inch TFT colour flat screen clearly displays all information that is required for programming, operating, managing and controlling the machine: Program sets, information, error messages, etc. Additional information is provided by the graphic support when entering the program, when testing the program and during processing. A split screen can be used to display the NC sets on one half of the screen and the graphic or status display on the other half of the screen.
