Respectful Mind

Peace, kindness and love are viewed as positive traits whereas chaos, cruelty and hate are negative.

Manners, polite etiquette, discipline; such things are upheld, particularly in modern societies.

Dishonor of said traits to the point of inflicting harm demands intervention.

How might others understand this message differently from me?

How easily is the person emotionally moved? Does he/she need statistics as further convincing?

Culture specifications: What constitutes abuse? What level of extreme must be met?

Are old memories revived? Has this person encountered this situation before?

succEss - Emotion

Simplicity, unexpectedness and emotion draw in most of the audience’s attention.

Emotion: Did your stomach turn? Was a memory from the past resurrected? Were you disturbed by the hatred? Do you care?

Unexpectedness: Tea parties go violent!

Simplicity: Limited shots and point made.

It’s easy to ignore. Just turn away.

Fear Based Appeal

Child violence can lead to adult violence.

Will you let your children to go through the pain?

Emotion is the main target, without statistics, but with an emphasis on your conscience. Even if the victim permits the abuse, how far will it go, and is it worth speaking up?

Drive: Why, How, What?

The emotional limbic brain responds before the analytical neo-cortex does.

Why should I intervene in other’s lives? Why care? Why change a life? Motivation. Purpose. Desire.

How come this bothers me? How is it I feel a need to act? How can I help?

What occurred? What made this occur? What was the cause? Domestic violence.
