Building Parent-Teacher Relationships

Page 2: Building parent teacher relationships

As a teacher, I want to have a good relationship with my students as well as the parent. This will have a positive impact on the child’s education, I believe that when a parent and a teacher come together for the best interest of the kid, it will be beneficial in that child’s education.

When a parent and a child get along with one another and have great communication, it affects the quality of parents home involvement with their children’s learning. A parent will feel comfortable getting ideas from school on how to help and support their children.

The teacher can focus more on the task of teaching the children, and a teacher can be made aware of any problems or obstacles that the family may be experiencing and the needs of the family could possibly be met. When a parent is involved, their view on the teacher is more positive.
