Maria Aarts New to Scotland! The Marte Meo Approach: A Unique Practical Approach for working with Young Children and Parents/Carers

This unique approach has already been adopted by 43 countries. Maria will exemplify this in the Early Learning and Childcare setting as well as at home.

The Marte Meo Approach provides detailed and practical information for Early Learning and Childcare professionals to support children’s learning and development. Its aim is to identify and develop positive techniques that will support children and improve outcomes.

Dr Margy WhalleyWorking with Children 0 - 3: Building A Creative Workforce

Dr Margy Whalley will share evidence-based practice when working with under 3s and she will explore why Early Learning and Childcare settings should become learning communities engaging with parents, offering continuous development and accredited training.

Dr Margy Whalley will also explore the benefits of providing a safe, secure environment that is not only rich and stimulating, but encourages children to develop autonomy and feel comfortably challenged. She will discuss the importance of an atmosphere that places emphasis on being happy, having fun, enjoyment; and the celebration of each and every child’s achievements.
