Buck – Boost converters are either step down or Step up converters.
This converter either reduces amplitude of the output end or increases amplitude of the output end when compared to the input end.
The input end is similar to the buck converter and the output end is similar to the boost converter, the increase or decrease of the amplitude depemds
on the selection and switching of the pulse at the required duty cycle.
The major components in the buck boost converter is to design of the inductor and the capacitor and also the selection of the duty cycles decides the
output voltage.
If the duty cycle of the buck boost converter starts from the range of the 0 to 50 percentage the converter behaves likes a buck topology and if the
duty cycle varies from 50 – 100 percentage the converter behaves with the boost topology. According to the duty cycle adjustment the output voltage
of the converter is adjusted.

Output Waveform
Buck Boost converters are used for both step down and Step Up converters. This converter reduces / Increases amplitude of the output end when
compared to the input end.
These converter topologies are used in the SMPS applications and also for the application in which the output voltage should be lesser or higher to
the input voltage.
Buck Boost converters are used in the solar inverters and many dc voltage as a source input.
Thus by using the Activate tool the buck boost Converter topology is implemented.
