The BTEC philosophy

BTECs are vocationally-relatedqualifications

• Designed with employers and professional groups to provide relevant work-related learning, allowing learners to progress towards a particular vocation, or further study

• As relevant to the local environment of the learner in London as in Bangkok, by allowing adaptation to local needs

• To match rigorous, internationally recognised standards, with innovative teaching techniques

• To use assessment as part of the learning process, and to reflect the real challenges of a vocation in assessment

• Develop knowledge, skills and understanding, so learners can not only discuss theory, but do in practice.
