INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS OUTSIDE MALAYSIA INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS INSIDE MALAYSIA
1. All international students may register using an EMGS
Approval Letter.
2. After register, students may apply to enter Malaysia except
students from the UK but are not allowed to bring dependents.
3. For the application to enter Malaysia,
a) Students who have applied for VAL before 2021 need to:-
- Declaration of Accommodation [fill in google form from
iPUTRA]
- Declaration of Commencement of Online Class
- Copy of passport that is still valid within 18 months
b) Students who have applied for VAL in 2021 need to:-
- Declaration of Accommodation [fill in google form from
iPUTRA]
- Copy of passport that is still valid within 18 months
1. International students need to have a valid VAL.
- Progression Application [Bachelor -> Master -> Phd]
- Variation Application [change the same standard program]*
*Starting from January 1, 2021, International students
are no longer allowed to change programs before
enrolling. If you still want to change programs,
students are advised to decline the offer and re -
apply for a new program.

4. After the VAL is approved, the Travel Authorization will be
automatically generated through the EMGS system for further
action.
5. For students who wish to continue their online classes, there is
no need to take any action once they receive the EMGS
Approval Letter.

IMPORTANT REFERENCES AFTER REGISTRATION
1. All students will be allowed to register before undergoing a medical examination.
2. Student need to fill out a Health Declaration in PutraENROLL.

3. When situation of pandemic Covid-19 get better, student need to come
to PKU (Universiti’s Health Centre):
• Local: undergo a health examination at any clinic/hospital and confirm the
examination report at PKU.
• International: Mandatory health examination at PKU.
4. Students who are found to be suffering from a disease that is not
allowed to register will be terminated from their studies and given the
status of ‘WITHDRAW’.
5. International students who have undergone quarantine at NADMA do
not need to be isolated.
6. No Covid swab test was performed at PKU.
MEDICAL CHECK UP
1. Pay tuition fees according to the "program category" which will
be determined by SGS based on admission eligibility.

2. Students must pay the full tuition fee for semester 1 to complete
the registration process. Except for the program by coursework
because the payment of credit fees can be paid later (by week 7)
after registering for the course.

PutraVID (Virtual Identification) will be activated automatically
after the student activates UPMID.
Just need to install APPS from google playstore.
Students who require on-campus accommodation must obtain a
letter of support from their respective faculties/schools/centers and
submit it to the Student Housing and Placement Division, Office of
the Deputy Vice Chancellor (Student and Alumni Affairs) for
consideration and approval.
Student who required to come to faculty for research or internet
access need to submit name to Postgraduate Office, Faculty of
Modern Languages and Communication (FBMK) and get approval
from Deputy Vice Chancellor (Academic and International)
