New York Life-sponsored benefits, including medical, dental, life,disability, savings and pension plans, are designed to meet the diverseneeds of our employees and to help them secure their families’ financialand personal well-being. Under our 401(k) Savings Plan, employees canenjoy tax-deferred savings and, after one year of service, a dollar-for-dollarCompany match of their personal contribution up to a maximum of 3%.Health and Welfare benefits are subsidized by the Company andemployee contributions for health benefits are made on a pre-tax basis.

Automatic participation ifemployee is at least age 21.
Employee enrolls online orthrough the Benefits Centeranytime after receiving theenrollment package.
Employees are automaticallyenrolled at a contributionlevel of 3% (to obtain theCompany match) if theymake no active election.
>> Final average pay defined benefit plan:– 1.45% service accrual per year of service.– Final average salary based on highest 5 years out of the last 10.Vesting occurs after five years of service.Retirement eligibility: age 55 with at least 15 years service or age 60with at least 10 years of service.
>> Note: Retirees with at least 15 years of service also qualifyfor retiree health and welfare benefits.
>> If your compensation exceeds IRS limits, a portion of your benefit may bepaid from the Excess Benefit Plan.
>> This qualified retirement savings plan allows employees to contributeup to 10% of their benefits salary on a pre-tax and after-tax basis.After one year of employment, the Company will match the employee’scontribution dollar-for-dollar up to 3% of salary.
>> Catch up contributions can be made by employees over age 50.>> The Plan offers 13 different investment options, 12 mutual funds and
a Fixed Dollar account that pays a set interest rate (6.00% in 2010).
