FUNDUMENTAL INSTRUCTIONS FOR ALL EXERCISES:1. First, see what you are to do, then just play along with the recording, listen very carefully, play exactly in tune, produce a good sound, and focus on impecable form. 2. Once notes can be produced easily and beautifully, look at the notes and "solfege", along with the recording, through the exercise.

3. Play the exercises keeping your eyes on the music, letting the hands and ears find the notes.

4. Practice with absolute concentration.

Remember to stay on the tip of the finger, NOT the pad. Bring the elbow under the instrument. Keep space in the hand, and the thumb opposite the first finger.
