HELP YOUR CHILD LOVE READING AND SUCCEED IN SCHOOL!

Sign them up for a free, weekly reading session with a trained volunteer. Each session lasts 30 minutes. Children in grades kindergarten through 6 can participate. Takes place early November through May.

Reading sessions will be held via Zoom through the Bloomfield Public Library

Children’s Reading Partners and Bloomfield Public Library are pleased to be able to offer reading mentors for children in kindergarten through 6th grade during the current school year. All sessions will be conducted “virtually” on a one-to one basis. Please fill out the following application and email it to: mwhitman@libraryconnection.info or smccallum@libraryconnection.info. SCHEDULING Reading sessions are 30 minutes each week, November 2020 through May 2021 and follow the calendar for Bloomfield Public Schools. Please indicate the time slots when your child will be available for a “virtual reading session. Tuesdays 5:00 – 5:30 pm

Wednesdays 4:00 – 4:30 pm Your child will see a reading mentor the same day/time each week based on your selections above.

PARENT AGREEMENT • I understand that the reading tutors are trained but are not professional reading coaches. • I agree that my child will be logged in and ready to start each week at the scheduled time. • I will give the library at least 24 hours notice if my child needs to miss a reading session for any reason.
