Welcome Everyone, I would like to extend a warm welcome from all members of Blackheath and District Horticultural Society Inc. to all exhibitors and visitors to Blackheath Flower and Craft Show for 2016. It is time to celebrate your efforts, whether it be a beautiful flower from your garden, a cake just out of the oven, a piece of handicraft or a photo of your garden.

Throughout the many sections in this Schedule there is something for everyone in the family. For example, Section A provides the opportunity to exhibit pot plants, succulents and bonsai; Section B is a very large section for exotic and native cut flowers from your garden; fresh flowers and materials may be used in Section C for floral arrangements (decorative); perhaps the cook in the family may be able to make something from Section D, home cooking; during the cooler months many of us spend more time indoors spinning or making craft items and these are covered in Sections E & F; in recent years a photo of your garden is included in Section H, photography. Finally, the younger members of the family have a chance to display their skills in Sections G & H. This year, for the first time, we have included helpful support for entering camellias and daffodils.

Please read through the Schedule to see how many opportunities you have to enter and so assist in making our show a great success.

The Committee offers its sincere thanks to all the local business houses for their generous donations. Without their support, we would not be able to stage such a successful community event.

Please come and say hello when you visit our show. Laraine Graham, President
