Since the time of Galileo, Nicolas Copernicus or perhapssince earlier times, a notion had prevailed among the peoplethat Science and Religion have an inherent antagonism.

One of the reasons was that the Church-leaders thought thattheir belief was based on revelation, which is a higher source ofknowledge whereas the findings of scientists were based onman’s research. Man, by his nature, is liable to err. Moreover, they contended that their field was exclusively their own holydomain into which scientists or doubting philosophers cannotand should not enter.

From a very early age ofour lives, we startlearning and developing

our outlook depending on thefamily values and formaleducation we are exposed toduring our upbringing. Welearn many aspects of humanbehaviour and form ourpersonality traits. During theyouth period, the main focusremains on being qualified toearn and establish ourselves inrespectable positions ofsociety. However, even whenthe general thrust and interestare towards earning dailywages and looking after ourrespective families, we alwaysfeel the necessity and pull toexplore our inner selves indepth.

People in Bharat arespecially gifted with a socialsetup that ensures that duecare is taken for moral andspiritual development ofindividuals while pursuingmaterialistic and domesticresponsibilities. There isexposure to different aspectsof meditation and spirituallearning. There are manysources these days, such as,

publications, films, anddiscourses of holy personsthrough which one can gathera lot of knowledge. Severaltelevision channels arededicated solely to the spiritualexponents who share manyaspects of spirituality andmeditation practices. However, there are timeswhen the seeker is sometimeslost and unable toconceptualize the fundamentalessence behind spiritualthought and concepts, therefore, getting stuck at thecrossroads and unsure ofwhich path to follow for one’sspiritual benefit.

Everyone does not find itplausible to spend decades insearch of the truth, like theseekers of the past who usedto study the ancient scripturesunder the guidance of holysaints or gurus in theirrespective ashrams. Moreover the demands of thepresent day rat-race haveaggravated and multipliedhealth and social problemswhich consume most of ourtime, money and energy. Atsuch a time, humanity at large

receives the greatest andinvaluable gift of Sahaj Gyanand Sahaj Rajyoga (EasySpiritual Knowledge and EasyRajyoga) from the SupremeSource, Incorporeal God ShivaHimself. True to its descriptivename ‘Sahaj’, this spiritualknowledge if received with anopen mind whole-heartedly,comes to rescue us fromunnecessary and wastefulpractices that are going on allaround in the name of ‘Yoga’.The Shrimat Bhagwad Gita, the supreme scripture amongstall the available sources ofgyan and yoga, enjoins on usto develop a very positive andloving consciousness, andforge a direct link with theSupreme Source of alltreasures of inner peace andinner well-being. Throughthese columns, we have beensharing those Godlydiscourses and practicalguidance that can beimplemented in our dailyendeavours, along with manynew innovative ways ofdeveloping a high spiritualstage in meditation that resultsin self-purification,divinization, and radiation ofpower of peace and goodwishes.

Vishwa Vidyalaya, we havelaunched a new programme,‘Billion Minutes GoodWishes Bank’. This is a globalinitiative by an organisationthat has great affinity anddone a lot of research in thefield of thought andmeditation. In this bank, people won’t deposit moneybut can deposit their goodwishes. In today’s world, onefeels an absence of peace, love, goodwill etc. We expectthese qualities from others, notknowing that others aremerely reflecting what we areprojecting. By consciouslygiving good wishes toeveryone in general, regardless of racial, religiousand other differences, we getthe right to receive peace, love, and happiness. Goodwishes are the simplest andthe most effective method tobring about good and positivechanges in a human being, society and nature.

From 24th June to 15thAugust 2010, members of theBrahma Kumaris, our friendsand contacts, and anyone whowishes to share his/her goodwishes will accumulate thesame in the ‘Billion MinutesGood Wishes Bank’. This isnot merely a 53-day projectbut a way of developing apositive lifestyle in which we

can continuously spread goodwishes and pure feelings.

Benefit for the world: By thismethod, more than a billionminutes of good wishes will becollected, which will help createa global wave of peace andpositivity to counter the currentatmosphere of negativity. Thesevibrations of good wishes willbe a source of support to thepeople of the world in turbulenttimes.Benefit for the self:Accordingto the natural law of karma, what we give, we shall receive.By giving good wishesunselfishly for the world, we arebecoming shareholders in thecreation of a new world ofpeace and love. We will not onlyreceive the fruit of our goodwishes in the future, but this actof benevolence will have an

instant and positive impact onour health, relationships andcreativity.

The popular response from allcorners of Bharat shows howvaluable and essential are goodwishes for the self, ourimmediate relatives and friendsand for society at large. Manyhighly-placed people havewelcomed this unique method ofcreating positive vibrations inthe atmosphere, which isotherwise subtlely polluted withnegativity and its ill-effects. Ifwe invest genuine faith in thispower, it’s no wonder that thiswave of creating positiveattitudes through good wishescould spread throughout theworld, and remove manyapprehensions, destroy mistrustin relationships, and therebysave nations from spendingbillions and trillions on weaponsof mass destruction. It’s onlydue to lack of trust and fear ofthe unknown that so much time, money and energy are beingutilized in the research fordestructive means. This aloneis the cause for the whole worldworrying about realising peacehere and now.

From early July 2010, ourdedicated divine BK sisters(Rajyoga Meditation Teachers)have started to gather inhundreds at Shantivan Complex(Abu Road), not only to

I have some very sweet, rather indelible memories ofthe month of June 1965,

when our sweetest Mamma lefther mortal coil. Now, ourShantamani Dadi too has left hermortal coil in the same month.

Wherever I was withBrahma Baba, I always hadmemories of Dadi Shantamani. In fact, our stage generally issuch that besides Baba, othersouls also remain in ourremembrance. However,Supreme Soul God Father Shivacautions us not to rememberanyone except Him; but, soulslike Dadi Shantamani willnecessarily be missed becausethey have sincerely fulfilledtheir duties towards God FatherShiva.

Dadi and Her FamilyDadi and Her FamilyDadi and Her FamilyDadi and Her FamilyDadi and Her FamilyI liked Dadi Shantamani

since childhood. Dadi had foursisters – Deva, Dhruv, Kalaand Sandeshi. DadiShantamani and DadiChandramani got surrenderedin the yagya in the samemanner as Brahma Baba hadgot surrendered. DadiShantamani’s mother SatiBhabhi, Dhyani Dadi and

Mamma’s mother (RochaMata) were all three realsisters. So, when Mamma gotsurrendered, DadiShantamani’s whole familyincluding all unmarrieddaughters and their parentsalso got surrendered. DadiShantamani had a brother, whose son and daughter-in-law met me in Americarecently. They are proud ofcoming from a family thatboasts of being Baba’s directand devoted children.

Once, Baba suddenly askedDadi Shantamani to go toColombo where both DadiChandramani and DadiShantamani’s fathers had beenstaying. Dadi Shantamanisowed such a seed of Godlyservice which has grown andflourished there even now.Whenever I go to Colombo, Iremember that Dada RatanChand (Dadi Chandramani’sfather) and Dada Rijhumal(Dadi Shantamani’s father)surrendered everything, everysingle worldly possession, inGodly service.

like a magic. Dadi had boththese qualities. In fact, shenever told anyone about his/herfault. As for the unlimited Godlyservices at Shantivan she tookcare of everyone so well. Babaasks us to achieve such a stagethrough remembrance andservice so that it becomes amemorable one. As BrahmaBaba’s memorial is a Tower ofPeace; Dadi Prakashmani’s isa Tower of Light; in the sameway, Dadi made herself aTower of Peace. She becamea Tower of Peace when sheremained silent through thepositive powers of truthfulnessand silence. I never noticedDadi saying bitter words toanyone. She remained in sucha silent state that the feeling ofperforming Karma could neverbe noticed through her deeds.

She accumulated her powerof yoga to the extreme level;

now we cannot say that we areperforming our yoga for her. But, by meditating for her, weshould make ourselves suchpure and peaceful souls as Dadiherself was. She alwaysremembered Baba. In fact,Dadis really have Baba in theirhearts.

Reminiscence of OldReminiscence of OldReminiscence of OldReminiscence of OldReminiscence of OldMemoriesMemoriesMemoriesMemoriesMemories

When Dadi Shantamani’smortal coil was kept in theHistory Hall, I recalled thememories of those days whenMamma’s was kept there. Atthat time Baba had said thatMamma would listen to Murli,i.e. Godly versions. So, whenDadi’s mortal coil was keptthere, I thought that Dadi wouldbe listening to Murli becausenothing remained in her entirelife except Baba and Murli.Although we didn’t staytogether, but we both remainedin the same manner as Babahad directed us to remain. We

are the companions in thisunlimited journey. This is ourGodly relationship for allkalpas. This happened kalpaago also and will happen in nextkalpa as well.

It was never reflected fromher face that she had any kindof trouble; she never expressedsuch things through her mouth. She was such a patient who hadabundant patience. Those whowere instrumental in serving her, even they might never havebeen tired. She was such a Dadiwho was blessed herself andblessed others with the blessingof ‘Be Tireless’. As the name‘Shantamani’ suggests (Jewelof Peace), she never heardanyone’s weakness. She wasaffable to one and all. She usedto take care of yagya’s affairsin Karachi, which wasthereafter looked after by DadiPrakashmani and has beenlooked after by Dadi Ishu. Howmuch should I tell her glory, who

imbibed Father’s glory into herlife?

One must become such achild of God that everyone findshim or her as Baba’s right hand. One must become such anaccurate child of God so thatBaba should say, “Look at mychild; he is devoid of pride”.Even when someone insultshim, the latter’s face shouldn’treflect the feeling of being hurt. Thus, Shantamani Dadi was alovely child of Baba, who hasbeen a unique example to all ofus.

May the power which Babahas bestowed in us since thebeginning be got by others! Oneshould maintain such a stagethat Baba should always be inhis/her remembrance. This willbe the true tribute to Dadi. ThisJune month belongs to Mammaas also to Dadi Shantamani.Dadi Shantamani was likeMamma.

The real reason why you sometimes experience a lack of real, deep lasting happiness inyour lives is dependency. You are taught to make your happiness dependent on some event, condition, person, object etc. This is why you keep delaying your happiness until things are justright in your life. You think you will be happy in the future and then wonder why you are nothappy now. But life is never just right, and the future never comes – there is only now! And that’swhy, in order to be happy you must make your happiness a decision and not a dependency. Thismay seem slightly difficult in the beginning, because you have just spent your life being dependenton acquiring something or someone, or seeing the result you desired, or wanting some pain togo away, before you allow yourselves to be happy.

The term success orfailure is the differencebetween two thoughts

– positive and negative. Athought can guarantee successor failure. A determined stepleads to success. Positivethoughts and actions are thepillars of success. Optimism, enthusiasm, cheerfulness, patience, tolerance, happiness, zeal, peace and hard work etc.,lead to sure success. In fact, failures are the different haltingpoints of success. Success isthe consequence of focused, sustained, and a constant effort-making process. Success is thebirthright of each human being.Simply hard efforts or hardwork will not give positiveresults and success. Hardefforts with good intentions andthoughts of others’ well-beingspread the vibrations of peaceand happiness and such aneffort will ensure success.Success is not necessarily doingmany things at a time, but doingthings differently. It isnecessary that our effortsshould be constant, consistentand properly focused andpursued with determination.

SECRETS OFSECRETS OFSECRETS OFSECRETS OFSECRETS OFSUCCESSSUCCESSSUCCESSSUCCESSSUCCESS

– B.K. Surendran, Bangalore

Our vision should be as the endresult of success. Everyday wesee that vision of success andglory on our mental screen andenjoy that vision. Obstacles, barriers, problems and problempeople are pointers to the factthat we are on the way tosuccess. The nature of theuniverse is to evolve always intonewness. Our efforts will alsobe opened up and evolve intogreater and greater heights. Weshould understand and believethat we are born winners andsuccess is our birthright.Sometimes, the successparameters may be at a subtlestage or at the physical level. It is sometimes subjective whileat objective. Experiencing asense of satisfaction is success.Satisfaction or contentment, happiness and mental peace areall greater success dimensions. When a long pending problemis solved, we say that it is asuccess. Organised, positiveand elevated thinking are thesure way to success.Perseverance, persistence, going an extra mile, going outof the way to extend a helpinghand in times of crises

necessities to rescue, to save alife etc., are the ingredients ofa successful life. Our successshould have a positive effect onothers. Our success shouldinspire others. Our successshould be the success of othersalso. Our success should not bean isolated event, but should bebeneficial to others also. Oursuccess alone does notguarantee us to be stable in oursuccessful situations. Theworld is now wired so also, life.Any good or bad happening ina particular part of the worldwill have a correspondingconsequence in other parts ofthe world. Life is naturallydesigned to be successful.Beware of bad habits, erraticbehaviours, self-defeatingovertures, which will underminethe efforts aimed to becomesuccessful. It will directlydestroy life. Even though somepeople resort to short-cutmethods to success – stealing, cheating, blaming, complaining, making scapegoats, leg-pulling,deceiving etc.; the consequenceis that it will surely lead to self-destruction in the long run. Theperson who is doing all this willlose his mental balance, peace, happiness, solace and securityin course of time. We shouldalways have an attitude of win-win philosophy. Sometimes wecome under make-believesuccess syndrome. For

Page 8: BK- News Letter - english-July 10

The World Renewal, July 20108

example, we are financiallysound – we have a house, wehave food to eat, we have othercomforts and facilities and closeour doors and windows thinkingthat we are safe and enjoy life.Meanwhile, there may be a firein our neighbourhood which canspread any moment and alsoreduce our place into ashes incase a spark of it ignites ourplace. Let us not give sorrowto others or create problems forothers. Instead, let us givehappiness, peace, solace andsecurity to others. We are bornto succeed, not to fail.

A young man askedSocrates, the great Greekphilosopher, as to how he couldbe successful. Socrates tookthe young man to the river anddipped him into the water fortwo minutes. The young manwas struggling for breath.Socrates released him. Thenthe young man was told that oneshould aspire for success just ashe gasped for breath while hewas under water. It is saidrightly that success is the abilityto go from failure to failurewithout losing enthusiasm. Self-confidence is one of the keysto success. Success is ajourney, not the destination. Ifwe think we can, then we canhave success. Every successfulman has done the best he couldwith conditions as he found

them and not waited for betterconditions. Optimism is one ofthe other keys. The differencebetween a pessimist and anoptimist is that a pessimist seesdifficulties in every opportunitywhile the optimist seesopportunities in every difficulty.Success may not always be thekey to happiness. Happinesshas the keys to success. If youknow what you are doing, youwill be happy and successful.Thomas Alva Edisonexperimented many times tofind a satisfactory filament forhis incandescent lamp. Hecould not create a suitablefilament. He failed and failed. In the meantime his assistantwas depressed. But Edison wasnot worried. He said, ‘Now weknow another thing that won’twork’. That is the right attitude, the right spirit.

We must understand that ourefforts will never go waste. Some efforts will giveimmediate results, while someothers will take time to deliver.Patience, consistent pursuits, intense desires, optimism, enthusiasm and planned hardwork will assure success. F.W.Woolworth was working as aclerk in a store. While working,he saw that old and obsoletethings were dumped at a placein the store. He suggested tothe store-owner to sell those

goods for five/ten cents peritem. Permission was granted. He pooled up all those goods ata place and put up a board ‘only5/10 cents’. Thus, he sold all theold items. Then he got an ideaof opening his own store wherelittle things were available for acomparatively small amount. He asked his boss to finance theventure. The boss turned hisrequest down saying that theidea was too risky and that therewere not enough items to sellfor five and ten cents. ButWoolworth went ahead aloneand was successful in his firststore. Ultimately, he came tobe the owner of a chain ofstores across America. Hisboss regretted and remarked‘As far as I can figure out, everyword I used to turn downWoolworth’s request cost meabout a million dollars’.Soul-consciousness andSoul-consciousness andSoul-consciousness andSoul-consciousness andSoul-consciousness and

Theconsciousness that ‘I am a soul– a spiritual energy – a sourceof universal light’ safeguards usfrom the illusions, imaginations, hallucinations and notions ofego, attachment, arrogance, anger, sex-lust, jealousy, fearand laziness. and lose their peace of mind andhappiness when they achieve successafter sometime. Humility, simplicity, flexibility, self-respect, self-confidence,self-discipline and tolerance are theingredients for a constant successful life. When we get success, it should be anoccasion for celebration at all times. Ifwe want our life to be a success up tothe last moment, it is indispensable forus to be soul-conscious and lead a lifebased on the values of soul-consciousness. Soul-consciousnessleads to God-consciousness. Peoplepopularly believe that when God is withthem, no-one can be against them; thetyphoons and gales cannot do anythingto them and success is guaranteed. Thisbelief is not an illusion. It is a fact. AsGandhiji said ‘The joy is in the battle. The result comes by the grace of God’.Remembrance of God supplies thenecessary spiritual energy resources forthe soul to lead a value-based life. Ourthoughts, words and deeds should bebased on soul- consciousness and God-consciousness so that our successbecomes a permanent experience. Wemust always support others, help othersand give something to them which willmake them happy, cheerful, hopeful, smiling and active. Our life should besuch that others should draw inspiration.God is the only one on whom we canalways depend on. Others’ blessings andgood wishes are the guardians of oursuccess. Our efforts for success shouldspontaneously earn good wishes and purefeelings from others.

Neither the attire nor any special look

Nor mere knowledge from Holy Books

But my selfless loving ways to serve

In Godliness – In Joy – such one deserves

By humane definition the spiritual/moral call

Heart and hands in unity to reach one who falls

No distinction I make to help a dear brother

In his predicament and pain but what can I give?

All I truly can – while simply – I live

Who am I? What do I own?

How much schooling, certification and wisdom light?

How well known? What position and wielding might?

What our Ego(s) you or I can really give?

Nothing! All is His! Everything! – Baba’s blessing

Not a grain of sand or water molecule

We are but miniscule –

Trustees of His! In His time! His Place!

His Glorious Divinity – His All

Yet who runs, sacrifices–

To take a brother’s hand

And share in time of need

A love and peace

That masterly Deed – That spirituality

Cannot be bought with all the gems of the earth

It can only sweetly sing and serve

THE CALL OFOUR TIME

“These are times whenthings happen suddenly thatare a cause for concern. Nowis the season of happening ofthings suddenly. Many areworried due to the state of theworld. One should let go ofworry. The one who worries isalways in a hurry and willspeak with bitterness anddisheartenment. Those whoworry think too much, andwaste a lot of time and energydelving into doubts. They mayworry about money, abouthealth, about family, aboutjobs, or about the future.

One must never worry.Instead, one must live withtrust. At a time of crisis thereis opportunity. But in order tosee the opportunity, I needcourage in my heart and trustin my intellect. Courage helpsme to feel that there is benefitin every unfolding scene in thedrama of life. Trust helps meto stay stable and calm in theface of crisis. Courage andtrust give me the assurancethat everything will be fine. Itis said that faith in the intellectbrings victory and courage inthe heart brings help.”

I generally do not plan howto spend my stay inMadhuban. This time

around I was to stay for the first2 meetings, i.e., for nearly amonth. During this time, Iphoned my wife who is in USAwith my son, Nikhil. She brokedown into tears at the slightesthint to our daughter Dr. Netra,a practising dentist, who waskind hearted, soft spoken, silent-natured and full of many virtuesand who had passed away onlya few months ago. Someonebrutally killed her on 5th Marchlast year. It seems she wasworking on a patient andsomeone attacked from behindas she was wearing hand-gloves and mask on mouth. So,even after 10 months, every-time when we spoke of hereven on the telephone, the callalways ended with her (mywife) uncontrolled sobs anddisconnection. She is a Non-BK,but she has heard enough ofBaba’s knowledge through me.She has seen how I controlledmy feelings and encouraged therelations and contacts, whocame to condole and consoleus. She knows how I advised

– B.K. Prakash Talathi, Lagos, Nigeria

them to meditate by givingguided commentary and sendtheir good wishes to thedeparted soul during that time.Giving her sufficient time torecover and giving vibrations inmeditation, I started telling her,“Please do not cry; that willcause pain to our child (Netra)wherever she is”. Still there waslittle or no effect. Later on I toldher, “I do not like crying; pleasestop”. Still there was littleeffect.

Now 10 months had passedand the same thing happened onthat evening during thetelephone call. Suddenly athought came in my mind that Ishould give Saakaash to herfrom here, the Land of Penance(Mt. Abu) where Baba andseniors have done a lot ofmeditation, at a fixed time anda fixed place. Many times B.K.Bro. Suraj of Madhuban told usthe importance of 21 days’donation of yoga at fixed timeand place. So I decided to trythe same with proper methodand not haphazardly anytime, anywhere. Luckily, I was tostay there for nearly a month,so there was time at my side.

I also remembered oneAvyakt Vani that I read in myearly (BK) childhood, in whichBaba explained, “When yougive Saakash to your lovedones, it doesn’t reach them.Because you have special loveand attachment towards them, therefore, such love andattachment create a wallbetween you and them and yourvibrations do not reach them. This (selfish) love andattachment is a vice – negativityand, thus a wall is created. Yourloved ones are also souls playingtheir part in the drama like allother actors. You are masterworld-benefactor and not thebenefactor of one soul. If youwant to give them vibrations, give to the entire village, entireregion, entire world, as all willget it, thus, he too will get it”.

So, I fixed 5.30 p.m. to 6.30p.m. as the time of givingSaakash. I was practising to bein seed stage and getting directlight of a blend of powers andpowerful virtues andknowledge, getting myself fullyabsorbed into it, so that mybrilliance, my radiations couldbecome powerful and spread toall possible directions. The lightand radiations passed throughthe sky, clearing and cleansingit through the earth’satmosphere cutting and clearingthe vibrations of negative andwaste thoughts, then spreading

all over earth’s surface and deepwithin earth and bubbling upthrough oceans, rivers andponds to the surface, thenthrough the fire; every atom, every particle of nature wasgetting purified andempowered. Then I focused thelight and might of the Saakashto human souls from one end ofthe globe to the other; every soulis touched and every soul takesas per its capacity. The soulsfeel freshened up and cheerfulwith whatever they getunexpectedly. I am still in frontof Him. Now He isPowerhouse and charging mybatteries and a powerful currentgoes everywhere through sky, air, fire, earth and water. Theelements get purified andempowered further to anotherlevel. Then the currentspreading through all the humansouls renews them, purifiesthem and empowers them. StillI am in front of Baba in the SoulWorld in seed stage and again Iattempt the third and the fourthcycle.

After 4 cycles, I get down toAngelic world with my beautifulsparkling dress of light. I am infront of BapDada. BapDadaare giving me drishti. Theirdrishti is transforming mydrishti and a vision that all soulsare brothers is developed. Theirdrishti transforms my Vriti(attitude). I am a World-

Benefactor, a mine of mercyand am spreading good-wishesand pure feelings to all. Hisdrishti is transforming myworld. He stares and makes mefull. I am an angel, lighthouseand might house; I am spreadingthe light and might in alldirections again through everyelement of nature and everysoul of the world. When onecycle finishes, I still find myselfin front of BapDada getting mefilled in with more than what Igave. This gets repeated withsome variation here and therefor 3 more cycles.

Then I go down the eternalkalpa tree – I am the rootconnected to the Seed, i.e. ShivBaba and taking the current ofSaakash of powers, powerfulvirtues, knowledge, blessingsetc., and pass it through trunkof the tree, branches and sub-branches to every leaf, flower, fruit etc. Every leaf is a soulhaving his picture with him. SoI see many faces on manyleaves. Some of them areknown to me. They are alsogetting the powers to withstandand keep their cool. Again I findmyself connected with the seedand to the family tree. I am anancestor and bestowingblessings on all the leave-souls.Like the three cycles, Icomplete 11 cycles all in onesitting.

After 2 days, Baba gave me

a blessing through Dadi Jankijiwhich says:

“You are constantly busyserving through your mind, giving the powerful current ofSakaash to all souls. This ishow you give support and peaceto the world.”

I was surprised, a pleasantsurprise that what I am doing isactually reaching thebeneficiaries and what I amdoing is being watched by Baba;He is involved! My joy knew nobounds. So, I continued with fullvigour and enthusiasm.

After another week or so, Ijust called my wife; we had along talk. She talked aboutchildren, grandchildren and somany other things. She was inher old jovial mood. She nevercame to the topic of Netra. Finally, I started the topic andshe just quickly moved to othertopics. No crying, no sobbing,no disconnection! So whatmore proof do you (a scienceand technology grad) want? This invisible machinery isworking; positively working. The Golden Key to healing theminds has come in my hands. And whatever Baba gives isPrabhu Prasad (holy offering)which I must share with others. And Baba knows and trusts thisinstrument only in the hands ofthe dedicated.

How great that He has giventhis key to me!

As soon as I came toHyderabad, I and my familymembers underwent 7-daybasic Rajyoga course and withinnext three months, I inculcatedpurity in my life and abstainedfrom onion and garlic, in spiteof objection from my familyand friends. Seeing such achange in me, my wife becamemore engrossed with devotion.I first met BapDada inShantivan on 18th January 2000with my companion andyounger son and since thenevery year, I have been meetingBapDada twice with or withouther. I have also participated inJurists Conference at MountAbu, Hyderabad, Sri Lanka andin other places as well. For thelast ten years, except for my

There was once a man calledKasper Hauser. Brought up in aGerman prison in the 17th

century, unschooled in even themost basic skills of humancommunication, he wasreleased at the age of aboutthirty and placed like an exhibitin the centre of a village squarewith a letter in his hand writtenby the prison warder…. and left. The letter gave information aboutHauser’s upbringing and invitedany willing family to take him in.

Kasper Hauser looked like ananimal, grunted like an animal, ate like an animal and wasgreeted by the villagers as ananimal. Ten years later he wasacclaimed a national hero. Why? That was so becausefrom beneath the inarticulacyand barbarity, there emerged aprofound clarity of mind whichflawed many of the 17th centuryGerman academics andphilosophers. He could answer

year, I have been attendingdaily morning Murli classes withmy wife, and find a lot ofimprovement in my spiritualeffort. Seeing me, the otherstudents and high-status peoplehave also started attendingMurli classes daily and so theclass looks full now.

questions that they could not.He was a scholar of life. But healso had the virtue of simplicity.

Without advocating barbaricconditions or animalism, theredoes seem to be a lesson here.Kasper Hauser had been forcedby circumstances to limit hisphysical needs totally andbecause isolated, was obliviousto public opinion. Because ofthis his natural wisdom couldcome to the surface.

Meditation also has the sameeffect. By teaching yourself tobe free of unnecessary clutter,by developing a love for internalsolitude, two things happen.First your lifestyle takes on asimplicity and easiness that initself can be a healing sourceto those around you; andsecondly, your powers ofperception become dramaticallyheightened. It really is like beingable to see again. Occasionally, there is a challenge: Why have

you given everything up? But thefeeling is that only negativity hasbeen given up. The wealth ofexperiences accumulated overthe past has not been rejected, only the pain. Someone holdingonto pain can never be simple.

But it is a great paradox thatsimplicity comes from passingthrough many stages oflearning. It is a complexlandscape before reaching acalm, straight, simple sea. It isthe virtue of the spiritually oldand yet also it is the possessionof the physically young.

And perhaps most touchingof all, it belongs to God, whoholds within His understandingthe ups and downs of the entirehuman landscape. Listening toGod’s words is like listening tosomeone playing a scale on thepiano, when he could play aconcerto. Just a scale, but doneperfectly. This is simplicity.

at the time of that action.

DADI GULZAR INKUWAIT

One can understand fromone’s feelings, language etc.,whether it is the past karmicaccount or not. If someonetalks a lot about someone, heor she is having karmicaccount with that person,(especially in a negative) orsomething is happening, thenit is karma. Whereas it isdrama when a situation hascome up and one has failedto deal with it correctly orproperly, in a right way.

Q. Do we use our intellect inthe Golden Age, or is itdormant? Since there areno conflicts of choices orinterest, do we simply jumpfrom thought into action?

A. The intellect operates in anautomatic manner in theGolden Age. One’s mind, words and actions are usedin an automatic and naturalway, and hence, it feels as ifone is not using them. Thereis no need to think, no needto consciously use theintellect. Here, there isconflict. In the Golden Age,the actions one performs willbe natural. There is no effortfor anything there. Now, even

for service, one uses theintellect. An effort-maker isnot yet complete; not like adeity yet, but still not worldlyeither!

Q. Dadi, could you pleasedifferentiate from yourexperience, between beingbodiless and being in atrance?

A. There is a huge difference.Going into a trance is ablessing from God. And tobecome bodiless is one’s owneffort. To haveremembrance and create astate is something else. Onecan’t get this blessing byasking for it. If someone is ina trance for eight hours, it willnot be counted in account ofyoga, but in the account ofblessings. One has to makeefforts to accumulate in theaccount of yoga. I was eightyears old, when I went into atrance, and at that time, Inever knew what yoga was!

no advisers in the GoldenAge?

A. When one follows Baba’ssignals fully, one becomes thepart of royal family inSatyuga. Not just two ofthem rule the kingdom, butmembers of the royal familywill sit there in the counseland give their suggestions. There are no conflicts ofopinion or ideas, there is noneed to quarrel, argue, orprove. There will be more orless equality amongst all; oneking and his companions. They just share theirthoughts, not advice.

Q. Dadi, when a wanderingspirit enters someone; is itdue to karma orattachment?

A. 1 It can be both. Sometimesit is the weak thoughts of thesoul and so another spiritenters. Sometimes it iskarma and the wanderingspirit comes to the soul withwhom it has a karmicaccount.

Q. Dadi, how are childrenborn in the Golden Age?

A. They are born through themothers’ womb as here, butin the Golden Age there isno physical contact between

the couples. Absolute purity! Both will have a purethought for a child and theseed is sown. This is thepower of yoga.

One may even ask ‘How iseverything started?’ From theanswer to this question, manyother popular philosophicalquestions could be easilyanswered as a consequence ofdirect application of my answer. Those questions could be: “Isthere free will? What is thepurpose of life? Where are wegoing? Are we bodies or

something else? Is time linear? Are our historical ‘facts’accurate, etc?”

“The starting point of thisphilosophical system is rooted inthe well known laws ofthermodynamics. Why? It is sobecause many times we are soused to quote ‘theories’ and toobscure a straight forwardanswer with scientificmythology. A physical law, onthe other hand, has passeddifferent tests and stays as aparamount of reality beyondopinions. Thermodynamics areimportant because the wholeuniverse is about movement andconversion of energies and theinterrelation of matter andenergy. When I apply the lawsof thermodynamics in myphilosophical system, I am usinga real and concrete starting pointto understand matter andenergy; in other words, theUniverse. 1st law ofThermodynamics: “Mattercannot be created nordestroyed. It can only betransformed.” It is not possibleto “create” matter as“something” from nothing. I

Page 21: BK- News Letter - english-July 10

cannot add things to whatalready exists. Whatever existswill transform in due time.Once I understand this law, Ican see that the “Theory ofCreation,” is illogical. A Godcreating stuff out of nothing isunreasonable. If nothing can becreated nor destroyed, how dideverything come to exist? It wasalready there. It has beenalways there, but matterchanges its form in time. Thisis logical. Do you want furtherproof”?

Let us explore the concept oftime. Time is an unavoidableproperty of matter. Wheneverthere is matter, there is time.Matter changes from form ‘x’to form ‘y’. Thistransformation is lengthy, that iswhat we call ‘time’. Wheneverwe think time is linear, wecommit a ‘big’ mistake. To start, there is nothing linear in theuniverse. The shortest pathbetween 2 points is not a line aswe were taught but a geodesic,a curve. We live in a sphere. There are no straight lines in asphere. Therefore, if matterchanges with time, time cannotbe linear but cyclical. Why?Because matter cannot becreated, that means that thereis neither ‘beginning’ nor ‘end’.If there is neither beginning norend then it means that matter iseternal, obviously because

matter exists. This is called alogical reasoning from previouspremises. Eternity cannot belinear because by necessity, linear time conveys a beginning. The belief of linear time is thesingle-most detrimental ‘theory’that is affecting ourunderstanding of ‘howeverything started’. Linear timefails logic and reasonconsistently.

There are 3 aspects of time:past, present and future. If the‘beginning’ was the present, then what was the past of thatpresent? It is non-existent. Alsothe principle of ‘cause andeffect’ fails in linear time. The‘Big Bang’ theory believes in agreat explosion which createdeverything. OK; but, what wasthe cause of those agents thatcollided in an explosion? In otherwords, those atoms of hydrogenand helium needed to comefrom somewhere before theyexisted. Linear time means thatthere is a need of a beginningwhich could never be explainedif we use the principle of causeand effect or the 3 aspects oftime. See that? Therefore, inthis brief explanation I havelogically and reasonablydemonstrated that the Creationand the ‘Big Bang’ theory areillogical answers of thebeginning of the Universe.Perhaps a scientist can come up

with lots of proofs to defendtheir theories, or a holy priestcan defend his dogmas, but logicand reason tell me otherwise.Perhaps science and dogmasare not reasonable after all. There is no need to be a rocketscientist to see this. If lineartime fails the test of logic, whatis the ‘reasonable’ answer?Time is a cycle; a circle. Therest of this writing will go intothis.

Second law ofthermodynamics: Entropy andthe problem of the ‘arrow oftime’; this unresolved problemin physics states that timeseems to have an arrow ordirection. In other words, itseems to go from present tofuture, in one temporalsequence. Scientists attemptedto explain the direction of thearrow of time by using thesecond law of thermodynamicsalso known as the concept ofentropy. Entropy loosely couldbe explained as the passagebetween 2 stages: from manyto few, from ‘order’ to‘disorder’, from new to old, etc.High entropy means ‘manyways or lots of something’ andlow entropy means ‘few or lessthan something’. It is dualismmanifested in the states of‘ascending’ or ‘descending’.Entropy could be seen as the‘quality’ of something

Page 22: BK- News Letter - english-July 10

The World Renewal, July 201022

diminishing as time progresses.Accordingly, physical systemstend to evolve towards states ofhigher entropy. However,Newton’s laws (classicalphysics) have no built-inmechanism for temporalorientation. In other words, systems not only can evolvefrom high to low entropy butthey can do it from low to high(going to the past). Thus, thesame amount of entropy whichexists in the future should alsoexist in the past since the lawsof physics are time reversalsymmetric. This contradictioncannot be explained in a linearvision of time without having a‘double headed’ arrow of time(one pointing towards the pastand the other towards thefuture. This ‘double-headedapproach’ is not consistent withour own experience. There isjust ‘one arrow’. Time goes inone direction. The universe islike a ‘self existing machineendowed with perpetualmotion.’ According to LordKelvin: “Although mechanicalenergy is indestructible, there isa universal tendency to itsdissipation, which producesthroughout the system a gradualaugmentation and diffusion ofheat, cessation of motion andexhaustion of the potentialenergy of the materialUniverse” (Lectures, vol. II, p.

356).Lord Kelvin refers here to

entropy. Apparently, a ‘selfexisting machine endowed withperpetual motion’, such as theUniverse, cannot persist in‘linear time’ but in ‘cyclicaltime’ as entropy takes over. Thus, entropy becomes thereason why a self-existingmachine with motion willcontinue forever. Low entropygives rise to high entropy andhigh entropy to low. It is the ‘Yinand Yang’ principle which canonly be fully observed in motionin a cyclical view of time.

‘The Fabric of the Cosmos,Space, Time and the Texture ofReality’ by Brian Greene, PhD.in Physics, ColumbiaUniversity; 2004, ISBN: 0-375-72720- 5, mentions in page 164“You should never be surprisedor feel the need to explain whyany physical system is in a high-entropy state. Such states arethe norms. On the contrary, what does need explanation iswhy any given physical systemis in a state of order, a state oflow entropy.”

This statement by Greene isutterly convenient for hisexplanations. I think there is aneed to explain why physicalsystems are in low entropy aswell as high entropy. The beliefof ‘linear time’ has no chanceof explaining low entropy.

However, as expressed before, the cycle of time and theunderstanding of eternity, fullyexplain the need of low and highentropy as the means toconstruct this ‘self existingmachine endowed withperpetual motion’. Everything inthe Universe is cyclical, why nottime? Time is not separatedfrom the material Universeafter all.

This concept of cyclical timeis not new. It has existed formany centuries before ‘lineartime’ appeared in the Westernworld. Cyclical time is easilyobservable in nature. Cyclicaltime is the view of time forHindus, Buddhists, Jainism andperhaps other religions in theIndian sub-continent. The sameholds true in the Americas. TheMayan calendar as well asother Mesoamerican societiesused a cyclical calendar whichallowed them to foretell thefuture by means of astrologyand divination rituals. TheAztecs made use of a calendarcarved in a huge circular stone, the Sun stone, which nowadaysis one of the main attractions ofthe Anthropological Museum inMexico City. The knowledge ofrepetition of time, which is anatural consequence of thecyclical view of time, permitsdivination. Of course, morespecifically Christianity forbade

Page 23: BK- News Letter - english-July 10

divination in westernsocieties, even though itshows that practice in anambivalent mannerthroughout the Bible.(Exodus 28 is an example.)The Koran also forbidsdivination.

The ancient Greekspractised divination bymeans of the oracles.Greeks believed in timebeing cyclical. One of thegreatest lines (in my view)by Plato was “We don’tlearn but we remember.”This statement makes nosense in linear time. It onlymakes perfect sense incyclical time. InScandinavian mythology, theRagnarok (NorseMythology) relates aforetold great battle whichresults in the death of manygods, natural disasters andthe subsequent submersionof the world in water. Theidea of ‘seeing beyond thepresent and into the future’is held by many culturesthroughout history. My claimis that when we view timeas cyclical, it is possible toforesee the future. In acyclical view of time, it getsrepeated identically.Nietzsche (Germanphilosopher) called it“Eternal recurrence.”

INTRINTRINTRINTRINTROOOOOVERSIONVERSIONVERSIONVERSIONVERSIONIntroversion is the meeting point between beauty and plainness. It iswhen on the outside there is only love and warmth, the qualities ofany decent human life, but on the inside there is wisdom andperception. It is when on the outside, there are relationships with afew, and on the inside there is enough to fuel a relationship with theworld; on the outside there is concern for the present and on theinside there is awareness of the future. Introversion is the door whichdivides the two; not exclusively, because a door will always open, butprotectively because it is night and there are thieves about.

What is night? Night is when no-one really knows what he/shewants or what he/she is doing. Night is when people question things,so the door has to be locked because when people don’t know whatthey want, they steal anything. The treasures of a mind developing insilence are always at risk. So there has to be enforced caution.

Introversion should also be exercised after a party where there hasbeen a sharing of valuables. Here, it has gently to close the door toeven the closest friends and then invite in solitude. It is the cautionwhich checks carefully whom it invites in, in the first place, not out offear but out of love for what has been given in trust to take care of.

And yet introversion is not silence anymore than real solitude is.It is participation, but not only participation. It is speaking with peace,

walking with humility, working with love. When action is accompaniedby a depth of quality; this is a sign of introversion. It is when insteadof staying within; you choose to venture through the door, takingsomething of value to all, with you.

It will not always be right. A time will come when morning will arrive. When happens then? The curtains are drawn and what’s inside isvisible through the windows. The eyes reflect clearly the life of themind. Still it can’t be touched, but it can be seen and enjoyed.

And when day comes – windows and doors are flung open. Themind is open, accessible and the sunlight makes equal what’s insidewith what’s outside. That will be a time where privacy and ‘individuality’,protection and caution will have passed. A unique period of sharing iswhen minds will be so light that they can pass through each otherunhurt. A time, when the virtue that introversion has protected, will bepoured into a common source of joy. It will be heaven.

Indian culture has recognisedfour epochs – Satyuga,Treta Yuga, Dwapur Yuga

and Kaliyuga. The foursegments, formed by crossingin the middle of theperpendicular as well ashorizontal lines of Swastika, isa replica of our World DramaWheel.

The top segment on the rightof the perpendicular represents‘Satyuga’, its lower segment,‘Tretayuga’, the lowersegment at the left ofperpendicular represents‘Dwapuryuga’, and its uppersegment ‘Kaliyuga’. Swastikaalso specifies that the ages ofthe four epochs are the same. However, as per mythology, theages of all the four epochs aredifferent, e.g. for Kaliyugathere are 4, 32, 000 years. ForDwapur, Treta and Satyuga, double, triple and quadruple ofit respectively, i.e., 17, 28, 000years for Satyuga, which is amyth far from logic.Auspicious Confluence AgeAuspicious Confluence AgeAuspicious Confluence AgeAuspicious Confluence AgeAuspicious Confluence Age

when irreligiousness andunrighteousness reach theirzenith; so much so that sinfulacts are performed even underthe umbrella of religion, andnegativity and viciousness ofhuman nature is at its nadir.

Supreme Father, beingincorporeal, manifests throughthe body of Brahma forrestoring humanity and natureto its original state of purity andorder, and thereby re-establishing righteousness onceagain on the earth. He alsoclarifies that besides four ages, there is a ‘transition period’which is in between the end ofKaliyuga and the beginning ofSatyuga. It is known asSangamyuga or theConfluence Age and has a keyand dominant role in the WorldDrama wheel.

As per Vedic tradition, thereis a month called ‘PurushottamMaas’ (Auspicious Month) atthe end of every three years;similarly, at the end of Kalpa,i.e., four ages, there is atransition period called‘Auspicious Confluence Age’.The period of Auspicious Monthis only a month, consisting of 30

days, whereas the period ofAuspicious Confluence Age issaid to be 100 years of duration. Therefore, the importance ofAuspicious Confluence Age isfar greater than that ofAuspicious Confluence Month.

During the whole period ofAuspicious Confluence Month, people pay special attention toreligious activities like fasting, penance, meditation, charity, celibacy, pure food, visitingtemples, chanting prayers, singing hymns, etc., with themain intention to please God forgetting His goodwill andblessings. One would definitelyget at least some materialbenefits through such types ofefforts and sincere devotionalfeelings. However, one cannotmeet God. He comes at theAuspicious Confluence Agepersonally and meets Hischildren directly to impart theknowledge through Brahma. He explains the true knowledgeand Rajyoga which enables oneto conquer his sense organs andbecome his own master. continued for a period of about400 years or more. Thoughthere have been scientists likeNewton who were deeplyreligious-minded persons,Religion and Science, duringcertain periods of history, worked against each other astwo hostile camps of war in theWestern hemisphere.

But, the question is that, sinceboth have now gained maturity, can the controversy be resolvednow? Can both work in closecooperation to understand thenature of the cosmos and topeep into the reality of Matter? If the answer is yes, then whatcan be the points of accord orareas of concord? If the answeris no, then the question is: Whynot?

In fact, the positive or thenegative nature of the answerwill depend on who is calledupon to answer – a conformingchurch-follower, a Christiancrusader, a down-to-earthscientist or a non-committedwell-wisher of Religion as wellas Science.

We will discuss it here fromthe point of view of a mutualfriend – a person who is neithera proselytiser nor a swornatheist or scientist; and not evenan agnostic, but a person whois religious-minded with

scientific bent who wantsreligious truths understood andexplained in a rational andscientific manner. He equallywants scientists to shed theirarrogance and accept that thereare certain truths beyond thereach of their own research(which, by the way, keeps onaltering some of its own previousfindings) and that there can beanother discipline besides theirs, which too is a science, thoughdifferent from the science as itis usually considered to be.A different discipline forA different discipline forA different discipline forA different discipline forA different discipline for

transcendental truthstranscendental truthstranscendental truthstranscendental truthstranscendental truthsIf one accepts this, then one

will accept further that whattranscendental is, by its verynature, beyond sense-perception, and therefore, liesoutside the scope of researchand that, to know thetranscendental, one has tofollow quite a different type ofdiscipline which physicalsciences do not necessarilydemand.

Divine RevelationDivine RevelationDivine RevelationDivine RevelationDivine RevelationAgain, as a corollary of what

has been said, Divine Revelationwill also have to be accepted asa valid source of Knowledge. If, as the scientists say, thereare living beings in other regionswho are sending radio-messages to man, which thelatter is, as yet, unable tointerpret, then religionists havean equal right to say that thereis the Supreme Being on-High,

who reveals certain truths in theform of extrasensoryperceptions and revelations. Ofcourse, Revelations should alsostand certain criteria.Otherwise, anyone can claimhis belief to be based onrevelation and this, as is now awell-known part of history, hashappened in the past, to theconsternation of all seekers-after-truth. Religiousintolerance, bigotry andfanaticism can, by no stretch ofimagination, be accepted asRevelation, for revelation, inkeeping with its claim that itemanates from the highestsource, should be highest invirtue; tolerance, love andgoodwill are the basic virtues, which if missing, make aproponent or missionary ofreligious thought the leastsuitable to sell his religiouswares, so to say.

Why should science beWhy should science beWhy should science beWhy should science beWhy should science betotally condemned?totally condemned?totally condemned?totally condemned?totally condemned?

Next, equally important is thatthe religionists should co-operatefully with the discovery of truthby the scientists, so far as thematerial world is concerned. What the scientists learnthrough research may not evenbe ‘the whole truth’ and it maynot even be ‘Reality’ however,it should be welcomed andencouraged if it is used for thewelfare of mankind and foramelioration of the down-trodden, the handicapped and

the sick. Why should science becondemned totally – its surgery, agricultural know-how and all?If Religion teaches universalbrotherhood, why shouldscientists be excluded from it?Torturing them, after namingthem ‘heretics’ is in the fashionof giving a watch-dog a badname and killing it, and exactlythis was done in the past. Onewould be justified to condemnonly that part of science whichis being used to build means ofdevastation and destruction.

Again, if the main concern ofthe scientists is to find andunderstand the truth, then whyshould they deny fair chance toreligionists to place their viewsunto the jury of mankind andperform their own experimentsin their own way? If a thing is apure hoax, it will die its owndeath. A herd of lambs cannotstand unto one single lion norcan the darkness, enveloping acountry, stand unto the sun highin the sky.

But, as students of History ofScience and of History ofReligion know, the maincontroversy arises because ofthe common interest of Religionas well as Science inCosmogony and Cosmology. The clashes between Religionand Science have occurredmainly because both haveirreconcilable views in regard to

the extraterrestrial life and toregions beyond space. In this,Religion stands mainly onrevelation and science standspartly on theories – proved orunproved.

However, in this domain, scientists themselves are notsure whether the worldoriginated from a big-bang andwhether it is in steady state orit is expanding. There are, as oftoday, many theories and weread in science journals that notheory has finally been acceptedby all scientists. Nor have thereligionists the means ofdemonstrating their beliefs untothe non-believers. So, whyquarrel? Let each co-operatewith the other to know the truth.

Rajyoga and Trance-Rajyoga and Trance-Rajyoga and Trance-Rajyoga and Trance-Rajyoga and Trance-VisionsVisionsVisionsVisionsVisions

Another very important thingis that the true Spiritual sciencehas certain ways of seeing theReality or the Truth face-to-face. Trance-vision which hasits parallel in Television, Satellitecommunication and Remotecontrol, is a subtle and divineway which lays bare Truth inits entirety and in its full shineand beauty. Meditation isanother way of having directexperience of Reality and thequalities of the transcendentalentity called ‘soul’ and the‘Supreme soul.’ But, until a top-most scientist, known for hisintegrity, gets trance-vision andmeditative experience and

proclaims to the world the Truthwhich spiritual scientistsperceive as clearly as Galileoperceived the galaxy with histelescope or as astronomersperceive today at MountPalmar, there will alwaysremain some doubtingphilosophers. The world willawait an Einstein or a Newtonto be blessed with such visionsso as to bridge the gap betweenReligion and Science one for all. But, ‘will it happen’ is a questionthat belongs to the future. And,if such a towering scientistbecomes a sage and Rajyogi, will the other scientists take himat his word? – This will stillremain a pertinent question. Ifthis element of undying doubtwere not there in the mind ofman, why shouldn’t thescientists believe in the tell-taleexperiences of a Rajyogi as heis prepared to believe in thefindings of a qualified andcompetent physician, physicist, astronomer, neurologist oranother scientist?

Each should derive benefitfrom the other and that a scientistshould accept to have somespiritual benefit and disciplinewhile a spiritualist should acceptto be open to scientific reasoningwithout having to discard whatis based on his experience. LetReligion and Science unite tobreak the shackles of ignoranceand vices.

A Space For Truth –Science & Spirituality

RetreatA new series of retreats

entitled ‘A Space for Truth’ waslaunched in Peace Village from12th to 16th May. The retreatbrought together the expertiseof scientists who haveexperimented with theunobserved and the wisdom ofyogis who have experienced theunobserved to explore the topicwhere mind and matter meetand how they interface. Formany years science has beentrying to dissect matter to itsmost subtle, infinitesimal formin order to understand thepower and potential of creation. This exploration began byexploring of the latest scientificadvancements and currentunderstanding of the linkbetween consciousness andmatter at a universal level. Thiswas followed by entering into aspace of exploring mind andconsciousness to equal depthsand heights. BKs invited the

scientists to experiment withsilence and have a first handexperience of a silent andconcentrated mind and itscapabilities. BKs’ hope for thisseries of Space for Truth wasthat spirituality may eventuallybe explained scientifically andscience may be experiencedspiritually.

Dr. Manjir SamantaLaughton, author of ‘PunkScience’, gave a presentation ofher research in Biology andCosmology and an overview ofScience and Spirituality.Quantum Physics leads to theconcept that consciousness isfundamental to reality. InCosmology, according to Dr.Laughton, the Black Holes, sofar thought to be destructivevortexes are creative oscillatingpoints emitting light. They couldbe called the chakras of theUniverse.

A panel discussion on theFusion of Science andSpirituality was facilitated withDr. Ronald Bryan (NuclearPhysicist Texas A&MUniversity), Yasuhiko Kimura(Buddhist Priest and Scholar,Integral Philosopher, Chairmanof Vision in Action) and Dr.Prashant Kakode.

There was also a series ofexperiments on silence thatwere woven throughout theretreat. The next gathering is

planned for 3rd-7th Septemberin Anubhuti, California.
