I bet the children and staff will be ready for a week’s rest when they come back later on this evening. We have had the best week here at DPS. Our visitors from Germany came to our school for our learn- ing review and said how brilliant our children and staff are here. We went into every class and the visitors were so impressed with how well the children learn together and how they are always en- gaged and on task with their classroom activities. The visitors were particularly impressed with the children’s high standard of work in their books and the wonderful learning environment that our children work in. It was a pleasure to be in the Foundation Stage most of Wednesday morning too as the children were doing their phonics and their explore and learn time. What a great two days! A mas- sive thank you to our brilliant governors who also met our Senior Link Inspectors. The inspector com- mented that she thought our Governors were extremely dedicated, knowledgeable and highly skilled at what thgey do. I couldn't have agreed more! A HUGE well done to our competition winners for the clean the beach poster competition. We will be putting the photographs of our winners in our next Grapevine with their entries. Lance Corporal Burton and his team from the QM Dept. chose Alexis from Y4, Savvia from Y1 and Tiffany-Rose from Y1 as our winners. Keep your eye out on the beach as their posters will be up there very soon reminding people to keep the beach clean. Hello all

It’s been a very quiet end to the week with the upper Key Stage 2 children being out on their resi-

dential. I have been having regular updates from Mrs Tidmarsh and the children seem to be having a

whale of a time! I bet the children and staff will be ready for a week’s rest when they come back later

on this evening.

We have had the best week here at DPS. Our visitors from Germany came to our school for our learn-

ing review and said how brilliant our children and staff are here. We went into every class and the

visitors were so impressed with how well the children learn together and how they are always en-

gaged and on task with their classroom activities. The visitors were particularly impressed with

the children’s high standard of work in their books and the wonderful learning environment that our

children work in. It was a pleasure to be in the Foundation Stage most of Wednesday morning too as

the children were doing their phonics and their explore and learn time. What a great two days! A mas-

sive thank you to our brilliant governors who also met our Senior Link Inspectors. The inspector com-

mented that she thought our Governors were extremely dedicated, knowledgeable and highly skilled

at what thgey do. I couldn't have agreed more!

A HUGE well done to our competition winners for the clean the beach poster competition. We will be

putting the photographs of our winners in our next Grapevine with their entries. Lance Corporal

Burton and his team from the QM Dept. chose Alexis from Y4, Savvia from Y1 and Tiffany-Rose from Y1

as our winners. Keep your eye out on the beach as their posters will be up there very soon reminding

people to keep the beach clean. Miss Georgiou will also be displaying the rest of the posters in the

immersive room too so please go and have a look.

I hope you all have a brilliant week off!
