    Chapter 1MWD and RWD Measurements

    This document details the standard mnemonics currently

    used by Baker Hughes INTEQ MWD systems and includes

    those to be introduced and supported in the near future. The

    contents of this document will be subject to revision and

    upgrade as new measurements are introduced.

    Most of the key mnemonics are common to multiple MWD

    surface systems and processing software. However, due to

    the historical development of BHI MWD systems, not all

    mnemonics have been implemented in or are common

    between all surface systems.

    Measurement Categories

    MWD and RWD measurements are classified as follows for each type of sensor:

    Mnemonics that end with an asterisk may be transmitted (MWD) data or memory (RWD) data that is logged while drilling or during a relog. The asterisk is replaced with the following characters depending upon the typedata.
