To be admitted to the professional certification, students must provide:Evidence of a bachelor’s degree in any field and official transcripts from all post-•secondary academic institutions attended. Transcripts from non-English language institutions must be translated into EnglishAn interview with the GTIC coordinator•English proficiency, as determined by the GTIC coordinator•Completion of Texas A&M’s application form for G6 status, including a $75 •application fee (either a check from an international bank or an approved international credit card number in the applicant’s name)
To be admitted to the master’s degree program, students must provide:Evidence of a bachelor’s degree in any field and official transcripts from all post-•secondary academic institutions attended. Transcripts from non-English language institutions must be translated into English. TOEFL of 550 (written) or 213 (computer) or 80 (internet-based) or 400 on the •GRE verbal or IELTS score of at least 6 or a GMAT verbal score of at least 22 taken within the past two years. Students with a degree from a country where English is the primary language need not take an English competency exam.Formal program application and $75 application fee (either a check from an •international bank or an approved international credit card number in the applicant’s name).Statement of career objectives•Résumé•Completion of the 14-credit professional certification in HRD (or current •enrollment)Grade point average in the 14-credit professional certification and all earned •degrees that predicts successful completion of the degree

The professional certif icates in human resource development (HRD) and human resource management (HRM) and the master of science degree in HRD from Texas A&M University are intensive academic programs with a theory-to-practice focus aimed at support ing the development
of human resources specif ic knowledge and skills.
The programs are designed to support students with varying levels of professional experience from early career to experienced supervisor, manager or executive.
The course delivery format for the professional certificationandthemaster’sinHRDinvitesparticipation and integration of student interests and related practical experience. Courses are offered face-to-face in the Kingdom of Bahrain. Each course is delivered over two consecutive weekends (Thursdays and Fridays or Fridays and Saturdays)—with readings and course content provided online prior to the in-person classes and assignments following the weekend course meetings. Theprofessional certification requires four
courses and an internship project for a total of 14credithours.The typicalfivecourse(14 credit) sequence typically requires onecalendar year from the start of the first class. The master’s program can typically be completed in about two and a half years.

The non-thesis master’s in HRD emphasizes learning, performance and development systems in a variety of organizational contexts. The 14-credit professional certification is transferable to the 37-credit master’s degree. Students are awarded a master’s degree upon completion of the 23 remaining degree program hours in HRD.
Graduates with this degree work in many HRD positions including trainers, training directors, administrators, consultants, corporate HR directors, state agency directors and many others. Job opportunities can be found in areas such as business and industry, the military, health and government agencies, and academia.
