On a personal note, I feel uniforms sure help in enhancing the learning

environment in a school. While minimal dress codes ensure decorum,

enforcing uniforms makes the students fall into a form that is much needed.

They learn to embrace laws and disciplines irrespective of whether it appeals

to them or not.

B N Satnalika Foundation reaches to underprivileged children so to ensure

they get access to proper elementary education.

Contribute as low as INR 3600 (10 a day) for 1 child and do your

part of good towards the society whom we neglect at large.

Audio Visual Education

Audio-Visual education is the one in which particular attention in paid on the audio and visual

presentation of the material to project across a point easily. Also known by the name of multimedia

education, it makes use of recordings, movies, videotapes, radio, television etc to enhance learning.

Audio-Visual aids were used during and after World War II. After the war, this technology was

increasingly used it schools, colleges and other educational institutes to improve learning and

retention. The importance of audio-visual technology in education should not be underestimated. It

creates environment which is more conducive to learning. This kind of educational technology can

lead to significant gains in retention, creativity, interest and imagination.

IMPORTANCE:

It makes it easier for the teacher to enhance the presentation of the content by using

pictures, quotes, videotapes etc.

The entire learning process is a combination of pictures, sounds, audios and videos. Its easily

grabs the attention of students and students absorb information easily.

There is an urge to understand technology in students and they are updated about the latest

technology.

It creates a stimulating and interactive environment. The equipment can be used to present

information and they are interacting with the audio-visual aids on a daily basis, which makes

them proficient in using technology.

They participate in group discussions rather than just taking notes.

Audio-Visual lessons consist of students working in pairs/groups on PowerPoint presentation

or writing using Word etc. The assignments are fun, challenging and exciting.

The students can also rapidly provide feedback.

It is also important for future career prospects. Audio-visual skills are essential to a business

environment today. Therefore audio-visual skills are necessary to perform the jobs in future.

There are certain barriers to audio-visual education such as resistance from students and teachers

to adopt new technology and give up traditional methods of teaching, schools lacking funds to

introduce new technology or technical faults in the technological equipments. Despite all of it,

audio-visual makes teaching and learning a rich and enjoyable experience, motivates students and

brings innovative and creative ideas to the classroom.

After School to College

No more nagging over homework, no compulsory attendance, referring to your instructors as

‘professors’, classes have turned into lectures. Experiencing all of the above? Congratulations you

have made it to college.

College in many ways is different from school. Not everyone is fortunate enough to attend college.

However college education is equally important in today’s competitive world. College brings with it a

plethora of activities and the opportunity to meet new people.

Higher education is extremely valuable. Individuals who have attended college and obtained a

graduation degree earn more money on an average than those who have not obtained bachelor’s

degree. Investing on higher education is an asset and is financially more rewarding. It not just makes

individuals capable of earning more money, it also make individuals more intelligent than they

would be without attending college. Higher an individual’s intelligent quotient, higher the problem

solving abilities and consequently a better life because individuals with higher problem solving skills

correlate to better life qualities. Moreover, higher education offers many new opportunities to

students. College offers many activities in which students get to meet other students. Students can

be a part of various clubs and societies in their college according to their interest. Not only clubs and

societies but students can also participate in sports. All of this not only helps them socialize but also

helps them strike a balance between academics and extra-curricular activities. Whether it is for

competitive purpose or for enjoyment, college offers myriad opportunities. It gives them a chance to

pursue their interests or experiment with new ones. Another important skill that college teaches is

the Money Management Skill. Some students take up part-time jobs along with college. By earning

themselves, students realise the value of money. Students learn to spend money on things that they

need and save some money rather than spending all of it at once.

Higher Education is extremely valuable. For some, higher education is difficult to receive. However

receiving higher education is extremely satisfying. Higher education ensures greater economic

stability, prestigious employment opportunities, greater job satisfaction, more self-confidence and

better quality of life. It also teaches skills necessary for leading a successful life.
