Ph : 044 2836 5205, 2836 2974 Patrons Workshop Coordinator Workshop Convenor November 2-3 & 5, 2018 Indian Institute of Technology Madras (IIT Madras), Chennai is organizing the Fifth 3-Day Awareness Workshop on the theme “Science and Engineering - A Journey”, in association with the Federation of Science Clubs of Tamilnadu (FSCT) and Madras Christian College Higher Secondary School, Chennai during November 2-3 & 5, 2018 at IIT Madras, Chennai. The Workshop introduces the recent developments and applications of Science & Engineering to the participants which may facilitate the students in shaping their careers. The faculty of IIT Madras will participate and enlighten the students on the challenges and prospects in disciplines like Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics & Computer Science, Engineering Design, Biotechnology, Electrical, Chemical, Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering. Visits to laboratories and the state-of-the-art research facilities of IIT Madras are bound to excite the budding scientists and engineers. The Course is designed for the students of standard 11 studying in recognized / approved schools situated in & around Chennai city, affiliated to Central & State Boards. Principals of schools shall nominate not more than 5 most motivated students (ranked in the order of merit) per Institution. If need arises, Organizers may prefer to choose only the top few among them. Preference will be given to students whose School Club / Eco Clubs are affiliated to FSCT. A maximum of 250 students will be considered for participation on 'first-come-first-served' basis. There is no participation or registration fee for the pre-registered participants. Working lunch and snacks will be arranged by IIT Madras. Neither TA/ DA nor Accommodation will be provided. Application format can be downloaded from www. mccschool.edu.in or IIT Madras Website. Scanned copy of the duly filled-in signed application should be emailed to “The Principal, Madras Christian College Higher Secondary School, 78, Harrington Road, Chetpet, Chennai -31" at iit.fsct.mccschool @gmail.com by Tuesday, rd 23 October 2018. Selected students will receive email intimation from Shri D. Balasingh Devadoss th (M:+91 9677167567) of the School by 30 2018. They should bring along the hard copies of the duly filled-in application forwarded by their respective principals and also the print- out of the email communication received from regarding their selection, and hand-over them at the Venue for collecting Identity Badge, Lunch Coupons etc, and for gaining entry into the auditorium.
