Automatically Generate NWC/NWD/NWF by Naviswork without Open Revit Model

Naviswork Manage provides a tool named “Batch Utility” to automate common file importing/conversion processes. Its integrated into Windows Task Scheduler to achieve scheduling automatic importing/conversion processes.

Basically, its support all file format which Naviswork supported into automatic importing/conversion processes, including RVT, NWC, NWF, DWF … etc. This short guide only focuses on export Revit models.

NOTICE

• NWC is by-product in the process. It will automatically be generated and saved under same of the Revit Model

location after the task complete.

• Since the output NWD / NWF file will be updated every running, remember to delete unnecessary viewport by manual.

• A suggestion to improve workflow is prepare an external NWF and append the exported NWC into the NWF file, then

generate the NWD file by manual. This method only needs to delete unnecessary viewport by manual in first time.

It also provides more flexible option, such as apply Appearance Profiler if needed, before generating the NWD file to

other party.

• In technical, Batch Utility is first detached the Revit Model, then export NWC from the detached Model. Finally, use

NWC to generate NWD / NWF.

• Try do not synchronize the model during the process.

More information and technical document please refer to Help website of your current Naviswork Manage Version.
