2007 Case Series Revised: 2007/03/29 汽車產業 「以製造及銷售汽車而論,世上沒有其他產品,在生產以及後來的使用年限 中,結合如此多的材料、過程、技術和這麼複雜的情報系統。沒有其他產 品對世界經濟有如此大的衝擊。大部分的人都可以領略到這層意義,因為 汽車是僅次於房屋的第二大個人購買項目。就實用及感性的角度來看,汽 車都是基本必備的。」 Maryann Keller19941 汽車產業可說是經濟發展的火車頭工業,其生產需使用涵蓋鋼鐵、橡膠、塑膠、 電子、電機、玻璃與油漆等材料,以及涉及機械、電機、電子、通訊、塑化等各個領域 的技術,它每年平均使用全球 15%產量的鋼、40%的橡膠、25%的玻璃,消耗了全球 40%產量的石油。 2005 年全球汽車產量超過 6,600 萬輛,主要集中於亞洲(38%)、歐洲(30%)、 與美洲(29%),其中又以美國、日本與中國為三大主要生產國。由於汽車功能的精進, 新技術與材料的研發投入,使得汽車生產的經濟規模量日漸提高,主要車廠的產能擴 張,造成全球汽車產能過剩;需求多樣化的競爭,造成改款頻率提高;加上安全、排放 及節能法規日趨嚴格,人工成本及原料成本上升,使得產品開發成本、銷售成本大幅度 提高。這些因素構成各主要整車廠的經營壓力,也加速整車廠的製造、設計的模組化外 包,促成產業供應體系的結構改變。 2005 年台灣的汽車產業總產值超過 4000 億元台幣,年產約 45 萬輛汽車,國產 車佔總市場銷量的 86%。但是,這個僅能滿足一家車廠的市場規模量,卻有多達 11 的整車廠競逐,以致於各家車廠產能利用率低,製造成本偏高,也無法支持研發投入, 只有仰賴技術母廠提供車型,成為原廠的組裝與銷售基地。相對於整車廠的實力,台灣 的汽車零組件廠商在國際售後服務零件市場尚有一定的競爭力,2005 年產值超過 1700 億元台幣。 對整個台灣的汽車產業而言,產業國際供應鏈的結構變遷、中國市場為主的新興 市場需求成長、車用電子產品的發展潛力,同時代表著成長的機會與能耐差距的威脅。 如何掌握這些事業成長與興業的機會,需要的不僅是技術發展與資本投入,更是針對市 場與供應鏈的策略佈局。 ©本個案係由李淵楷、台灣大學國企系研究生林世福與博士生吳相勳,在李吉仁教授指導下所撰寫。本個 案主要目的在作為課堂討論之教材,而非指陳企業經營良窳之論述。本個案尚未出版,請勿引用。
