    PRACTICALITY

Think about the way you live now. How you connect with friends, how you get news and entertainment, how you manage your money, play, work, and relax.

The infinite interconnections made possible by digital technology are remapping the lives of almost everyone on the planet. A new image of the world is being created that is always-on and animated in real-time, where static is a thing of the past and everything you know to be true today will be history tomorrow. Nothing will go untouched, no activity: medicine, media, religion, relationships, manufacturing, marketing and more. We are in the midst of a metadata metamorphosis.

Everyone participates in the digital world one way or another. The opportunities offered by a digitally facilitated future are endless. But how are those opportunities going to be turned into reality? How will connections be made and ideas spread and implemented? How are we going to solve the pressing problems that confront us?

The Project: Digital Disruption is your chance to be at the forefront of this change.

In an action-packed two-day event, attendees will hear from over 30 international and local speakers on how digital disruption is changing the way we live and work and learn how organizations are leveraging the opportunities created by digital

disruption to transform their businesses. The unique structure allows for exploration of topics on a conceptual, inspirational and practical level, and brings together innovators and world-class minds from the Pacific Rim and further afield some blazing with huge ideas and others who have already made their ideas real.

Whatever your industry or interest, The Project offers a rare chance to learn from their successes and failures and together try to make sense of the ever-shifting and constantly-evolving digital world. At the same time The Project will provide a platform for diverse people and networks to converge and catalyse something new and different.

Lets connect the dots and see what we can create.

THE AUDIENCEThe Project: Digital Disruption targets the change agents that are putting New Zealand on the map when it comes to the strategic and creative implementation of digital technologies.

With an expected attendance of 400+, The Project offers a rare opportunity to connect with early adopters, innovation drivers, vanguard thinkers and pioneering spirits from a diverse range of industries and backgrounds. From bold young start-ups to established businesses, from ICT executives to technology entrepreneurs, from marketers to manufacturers, from students to senior managers, The Project will bring together a unique audience, hungry for a better understanding of todays opportunities and tomorrows possibilities. The Project will foster putting global trends into action, to enable New Zealanders and the companies they lead to innovate and prosper on a global stage.

Following on from the success of The Project 2012 and The Project 2013, AUT University, the US Embassy and SMNZ are partnering again this year to deliver The Project 2014.

FORMAT AND VENUEEqual parts inspiration and enlightenment, The Project is sure to provide valuable insights that will help nurture and promote a culture of innovation amongst New Zealanders.

Over two days, attendees will hear from, connect and network with world-class international and local speakers. They will meet future business partners, collaborators and co-conspirators and be exposed to ideas that will re-invent their approach to

    everything.

DAY ONE Focusses on Inspiration and Innovation and mixes keynote addresses with interactive sessions, live-stream events and

    panel discussions.

DAY TWO Focusses on Perspiration and Practicality and introduces case studies that highlight hard-won lessons and war stories from the front lines of digital innovation.

This unique programme and format will make the most of the state-of-the-art facilities on offer in Aucklands newest conference venue, including two stunning lecture theatres and a massive 5m x 3m video wall. The Project is a one-of-a-kind event that will have attendees buzzing long after the conference

    is over.

THE MARKETING CAMPAIGNAUT has a large, well connected audience and marcomms infrastructure that will be utilised to engage with potential prospects socially, through direct marketing channels and via a concerted PR campaign. Partnerships with relevant media organisations will provide further exposure in the lead up to and during the event.
