Due to it’s portable character, this machine is particularly suitable for sealing all kinds of strange and diffi cult shaped products. The bi-active seal bars (both upper and lower seal bar are equipped with a resistance wire) allows the sealing of thick polyethylene up to 2 x 0,3 mm. Furthermore it will be possible to seal most of the lami-nate fi lms, a simple test will tell you if the machine will be adequate for your fi lm or not.

The machine needs to be connected to a transformer, where the seal time can be set according to the fi lm you are using. Once the jaws are closed the button is pressed and the seal will start, indicated by a control light. After the

sealing time has passed (max. 1-3 sec.) the sealing will stop automatically and you can open the tongs.

PRONTO

The pronto is a wall mounted sealer which can also be fi xed on a work bench. It is a small sealer which can be used where space is limited.

The sealer has been designed to seal plastic bags. With a timer, the right sealing time can be set, according to the fi lm you are using. The machine is easy to operate. Once a bag is fi lled, it is placed between the sealing bars.

With a simple push on the sealing bar, the bar will close and the sealing cycle will start. During sealing time, a control light indicates the cycle. An optional support is available.

The Sealmaster Magneta series con-sists of a complete range of manually operated impulse sealers with differ-ent sized models and options. This user friendly and safe machine is ideal for packing small and medium sized series. The machine can work with pre-made bags as well as with tubu-lar foil. When working with tubular foil, the machine can produce various length bags by using the integrated shielded cutting device.

The sealing cycle of the machine can easily be started by pushing down the seal bar by hand or by using a foot

pedal. Once started the magnetic bars remain closed throughout the sealing and cooling cycle and then automati-cally open, ready to make the next

seal. The machine is suitable for seal-ing polyethylene, polypropylene and thin laminates and the sealing and cooling times are adjustable.

MGM - Magneta Motor

The Magneta Motor MGM is Audion’s latest development in the Magneta series, which has conquered the mar-ket successfully.The Magneta Motor MGM sealer is powered by an electrical motor and equipped with an electrical foot switch. This special system enables you to close the sealing jaws with a gentle push on the pedal and achieves consistent and reliable seals. Almost all Sealmaster Magneta models can be supplied as MGM version and the options also apply to the MGM models.

MGT - Twin seal

The twin seal model of the Sealmaster Magneta is equipped with two parallel sealing bars. The cutting device will cut the film in between the two sealing bars. The second seal bar can be switched off allowing the machine to be used as a standard Sealmaster Magneta.

MGMI - Industrial seal

The MGMI model of the Sealmaster Magneta is equipped with a 5 mm wide seal instead of the standard 3 mm wide seal. On this model the sealing wire is fastened with tensioners to prevent distortion.

Sealmaster Magneta Accessories

The work table (OTST) is equipped with an adjustable bag holder, to easily handle different bag sizes.

The support (SP) is a stand the Sealmaster Magneta can be mounted on. With the support comes a foot pedal, which allows the operator to keep his hands free for handling the bag. By pushing the foot pedal the sealing cycle will start.

A set of rolls (SR) for the support can be ordered separately. A polylock is supplied with this option.

The poly lock (PL) is an accessory that is mounted on the back of the

machine in order to grip the tubular fi lm in between two seals to avoid the fi lm falling from the machine when a support with a set of rolls is used. This accessory can be ordered separately but is also packed in the accessories rollofl ux and in the set of rolls.

The rollofl ux (RL) includes a polylock.

MGMIDS - Bi-active

The bi-active model of the Sealmaster Magneta is equipped with two sealing bars, one in the arm and one in the machine. This creates a more powerful seal than the standard model and is capable of sealing thick fi lms up to 2 x 0.25 mm.

MG(M)S - Stainless steelThe MGS model of the Sealmaster Magneta is made out of stainless steel for special applications like the food industry or for clinical environments. The MGS has a stainless steel housing and accessories. All the other charac-teristics are identical to the standard model. The options like the support table and the support are also available in stainless steel.

The IST is a stainless steel table top impulse sealer for sealing fl exible syn-thetic packages. Seal- and cooling time are separately adjustable to suit the type of material. The IST is equipped with upper and lower sealing bars.The upper sealing bar can be switched off when using a relative thin laminates.

Switching between one or two sealing bars is easily done through the operation panel. The impressive seal quality, makes this machine suitable for many different applica-tions also for users of “special laminates”.

The Pandyno works with tubular film wrapped around a chute and uses a cold cutting wire which achieves a clean straight cute. The machine has one (industrial) sealing bar with circa 5 mm seal width and has an extra timer to set the cooling time needed to get a good seal. The seal cycle will start once the operator has pushed the sealing bars where they are held in closed position by a mag-net. The Pandynair works according to the same principle as the Pandyno. However the seal bar will be pneu-

matically closed after activating the seal cycle with an electric foot pedal. This will leave the operator hands free and able to handle the product. Compressed air is required for this machine.

The industrial sealer is an easy to ope-rate, heavy duty sealer for packaging all kinds of products. The sealer is pneumatically operated and requires connection to a compressed air supply with 6 bar pressure. The sealing and cooling time are controlled by poten-tiometers and the machine is activated via a foot pedal. The Audion industrial sealers are available in different sizes to suit bag widths of up to 1300 mm.The sealing bars are both heated and can be positioned vertically and horizontally with four positions in

between, to suit the working posi-tion. All modern packaging materials can be used from polyethylene, poly-propylene and all kinds of laminates. The machine is supplied on wheels for ease of manoeuvrability. The bag containing product is placed between the open sealing jaws. By pressing the foot pedal the sealing bars will close and automatically activate the seal-ing cycle. After sealing, the sealing bars open and the sealed bag can be removed.

The Futura Portable sealers are Audion’s most compact heat seal-ers. The Futura Portable sealers are constant heat sealers and come in four models to seal a wide variety of materials.

SUPER CELLOThese heat sealing tongs can be used for a variety of applications requir-ing a constant heat sealer that can be used at the location of the item to be sealed. The 4,5 metre long power lead enables the user to walk around with the unit and seal packages on site. The comfortable insulated grip of the machine keeps the handle cool even when the temperature of the jaws rises to 250 °C. The Super Cello can be used for sealing Coated Paper and Aluminium laminates. The tempera-

ture of the jaws can be adjusted from 60 °C to 250 °C to suit the type and thickness of the material to be sealed. Both sealing bars are heated providing effi cient heat distribution.

The Super Cello sealers are very easy to operate. The jaws are closed by hand and then released once sealing is com-plete.The Super Cello comes in two differ-ent lengths: 300 mm. and 420 mm.

This manually operated constant heat sealer has been developed for the retail business. The GPS, made only in stainless steel, is a hygienic machine for the food industry. Used with the special wicketed GPS bags, you will have a versatile system to pack and present your deli products in the best way possible. By using one or more support tables this system is perfectly suitable for packing larger product quantities as well.

When using pre-made bags it is possible to seal all kinds of thermo-plastic films (polyethylene, polypropyl-ene and thin laminates). A simple test will tell if the machine is adequate for your film or not. E.

Due to the shape of the sealing bar you can (when using P.E. or P.P. bags) easily tear off any excess foil length. The GPS is ideal for packing all kinds of products where space is limited.

The machine is operated by closing the vertical sealing arm. Releasing the arm will end the sealing cycle.

The Futura Junior is an economical hand operated tabletop heat sealer designed for low volume packaging. The maxi-mum temperature of this machine is set in a way that the teflon can not burn through, which means that the machine is extremely low-maintenance. The seal temperature is adjustable by means of a potentiometer with 3 positions, depend-ing on the thickness of the film. The Futura Junior is not equipped with either a knife or seal timer. The seal time is determined by the operator and there-fore would not be suitable for packaging

series of consumption goods.

Applications: nails, nuts, bolts, small parts, electronics, etc.

300 TT SEALERSThe TT-sealers are pedal operated machines, controlled either mechani-cally (TTS model, see picture) or pneumatically (TTCD model, see picture). This leaves both hands free for packing. The profiled sealing bars are constantly heated and the sealing temperature is adjustable. The TTCD-model is equipped with timer and digi-tal temperature control.

Using pre-made bags the TT sealers can be used for sealing Paper and Aluminium laminates. The temperature of the jaws can be adjusted up to 200 °C to suit the type and thickness of the material to be sealed. Both seal-ing bars are heated providing efficient heat distribution. As it is equipped with a digital temperature control unit, the 300 TTCD may also be used for sealing Cellophane and Polypropylene.

LAMINOThe Lamino heat sealer can be oper-ated by a foot pedal, leaving both hands free for handling the product. The profiled sealing bars apply high pressure to seal different kinds of laminated bags e.g.: paper, alumini-um, PP and cellophane. A brim on the seal bar ensures the correct position of the seal. As well as pedal operation, the LAMINO can also run in auto-matic mode (timer controlled). The LAMINO has an electronic temperature controller (digital) with a temperature range from 50°C to 150°C (+/- 1%). It has an auto test

D 552 AHD 552 AH band sealer continuously seals bags lying flat, for applications requiring speed and convenience. The sealing unit is adjustable in height and can also be tilted up to 30° to keep free flowing products in the bag. The conveyor unit can also be adjust-ed in height by 35mm separately from the sealing unit. For longer products, the conveyor frame can be pulled out by 70mm. The new conveyor belt is attached with rubber guide on the inside and it runs along the groove made on the conveyor frame. This structure keeps the belt always in

the center position therefore the adjustment is not necessary anymore. All operating parameters are controlled

in height. The D 552 AVT has the same easy-to-operate digital control panel and PTFE seal belts as the D 552 AH. The D 552 AVT is equipped with a height-adjustable integrated con-veyor belt. The speed of this conveyor can be synchronized to the sealing unit

from the control panel. The new conveyor belt is attached with rubber guide on the inside and it runs along the groove made on the conveyor frame. This structure keeps the belt always in the center position therefore the adjustment is not necessary any-more.

The Audion PowerSealer Magvac is a powerful, stainless steel vacuum sealer equipped with a vacuum nozzle and bi-active sealing bars. GENERAL INFORMATIONA vacuum chamber machine remo-ves the air out of a bag by using of a vacuum pump. Once the air has been removed the bag is then sealed. The Audionvac models start with a small tabletop model and progress through various sizes to a very large double chamber unit. The cabinet of every model is made of stainless steel, while the chamber is either constructed of stainless steel (VMS machines) or alu-minum (VM machines). Each model has a unique combination of different types of lids and chambers.

Digital control panelEvery Audionvac model is equipped with a digital control panel. This con-

trol panel is clearly laid out and easy to program. VMS 43, 53, 93, 113, and 133(L) have a 1 program control panel, all the other models have a 10 program control panel.

Soft-airAll the 10 program models are equipped as standard with soft-air function which enables fragile (e.g. fish) or sharp (e.g. T-bone) products to be packed without damage. The air enters the vacuum chamber very gently after the sealing process, giving the vacuum bag time to form around the fragile or sharp product. The result is that the product or the vacuum bag will not be damaged. A further benefit is that the product looks neater with a better formed package.

Filler platesAll models come with filler plates so that the working height inside the chamber can be adjusted to the product.

Measurements in generalThe front of the machine, where the control panel is placed, is called the

length. The front to back dimension is called the width. For tabletop models this means that front side (the length) is the shortest side and the depth (width) is the longest side.

Effective Chamber SizeThe effective chamber size is the space between the sealing bar(s), the sides and the lid. The net sealing bar size given, is the usable length.

Absolute Chamber SizeThe difference between the absolute chamber size and the effective cham-ber size is the space between the seal-ing bars and the walls of the chamber. This area is shown as the grey area around the effective chamber size.

mend a sensor control. The standard machine normally relies on a time cycle for the vacuum and gas levels, which is accurate enough for most applications. However, when dealing with products that vary in volume or density, a sen-sor ensures that each package is under the same level of vacuum.

Gas FlushAdding gas to the package is a way of extending the shelf life of the product. The product, and the space around it in the chamber are vacuumised as normal. Usually after the vacuuming process the bag is sealed; but with gas flush, the pouch is injected with a gas or gas mixture. When the desired volume of gas is reached the bag is then sealed. This gives a very low residual oxygen percentage and the product is no longer under vacuum pressure.

Filling plates for lid By using the filler plates for the lid of the double chamber models, the volume of the chamber decreases. The benefit is that the cycle time beco-mes shorter and the gas consumption decreases. The filler plates are not designed for frequent mounting and dismounting therefore it may not be suitable if one of the major packed products is taller than the inner height of the lid equipped with filler plates.

Easy swingThis is a system for stainless steel dou-ble chamber models which enables the operator to work in an ergonomic way. The system keeps the lid closed after a cycle, and by pressing the button, the lid rises by the force of springs. By using this rising motion, the lid can be moved to the other side with much less effort.

ESD (Electrostatic discharge)ESD is a rapid transfer of electrostatic charge between two objects, usually resulting when two objects at different potentials come into direct contact with each other. During the vacuum and decompres-sing phase, air flows over machine surfaces and builds up a static load. If electrostatic discharge occurs during

packaging of an electronic product, the product could be damaged instantly, but this can not be found visually from outside. With ESD option, all the surfaces are made of conductive material that discharges electrical current away to the ground connection of the machine. There will be no static loaded compo-nents inside the machine, so the vulne-rable electronic products are protected from electronic damage.To ensure the protection, the products need to be packed in anti-static bags.

Vacuum & gas speed regulationFor packaging light-weight products, it is recommendable to use this option to avoid seal failure. With the two regu-lators mounted on vacuum and gas pipes, the speed of air extraction and gas injection can be controlled, also, special right angled gas injection noz-zles will be mounted so the gas is not blown directly against the products.

External pumpThe pump can be placed outside of the machine frame with a long hose connection. This option is for example very suitable to apply in a clean room.

Powder filterPowder filter is recommended if the machine is used to pack very fine pow-ders. The filter prevents the powder from going into the vacuum pump.

Liquid filter Liquid filter is recommended if the machine is used to pack liquids. The filter prevents the liquid from going into the vacuum pump and causing corrosion.

Voltages, Phase and FrequencyAll models can be supplied with a dif-ferent voltage, phase and frequency to accommodate specific requirements of the customer.

ACCESSORIESGas kitGas kit is a group of parts that can be mounted to the machine to add gas flush function after the machine has left the factory. Gas kit is available on all the models manufactured after

2006 that have gas flush as an option.

Tilted plate for liquid bagsThis is an inclined support table placed inside the vacuum chamber. The bags containing liquid can be vacuum packed easily without spilling.

Platform By using the platform on VMS 153 VCB, a stand-up package and a square (brick) package can be created on the same machine. The extra benefit of having a platform is that it is also pos-sible to have the gas function available on this model (but not together with the cassette).

Extra cassette For making different size packages an extra cassette can be ordered.

EXTENDED FUNCTIONS

Multi-cycleMulti-cycle is used for packaging applications which require very low oxygen rests in package. It is auto-matically repeating vacuum and gas flush processes with a maximum of 5 times each before proceeding to seal process. It is also useful for packaging products containing air inside, which require rest times between vacuum cycles to let air out of itself.

Gas PlusGas plus is an extra gas flushing time during the closing of the seal bars, allowing for more gas inside the bag to make ballooning packages.To use this function, the machine should be equipped with the gas flush option.

Expansion reductionExpansion reduction is a special func-tion for packaging large pieces of fresh meat, By using this function, drip loss and bubble forming will be solved.

Expansion reduction allows external air to flow into the decompressed cham-ber for a short time (0.1-1.0 second) together with the closing of the seal bars. By slightly loosening the sur-rounding pressure, gas and water do not come out into the package.

VMS 153 VThe VMS 153 V is designed for vacuum packaging stand-up pouches of solids, liquids, or powders. It has a platform in

the chamber that can be adjusted for different bag heights.

VMS 153 VCBThe VMS 153 VCB is ideal for crea-ting vacuum brick bags of powdered products (such as ground coffee) or nuts. The brick shape is created with a custom designed forming cassette, which is useable for multiple bags per cycle operation. To ensure a nice brick shape, a “stamper” is delivered with

the machine with which the top of the package can be fl attened prior to vacuuming.It is possible to pack stand-up pouches as well as brick packages by exchan-ging the forming cassette with the optional platform. When the platform is attached, it is possible to use the gas fl ush option.

DIP TANKS

The dip tank is mainly used in the food industry. Food is often packed in a shrink bag or in a vacuum bag. When using a vacuum chamber with a dip tank both methods are combined.

Special vacuum shrink bags are there-fore required. After vacuum packaging, the product is placed into the hot water filled dip tank for a few seconds. During this

bath, the special vacuum shrink film will retract the plastic surplus film around the product. Resulting in a better looking package, with reduced packaging volume.

The AMAPs machine uses an inno-vative gas flush process to produce a Modified Atmosphere Packaging (MAP) in a rapid period of time. This process allows the AMAPS machine to operate without the use of a vacuum pump. Not using a vacuum pump gives this machine several big advantages over traditional equipment:

• Faster production speed• No damage to delicate products• Works well with liquids and products

with high water content• Easy to operate and troubleshoot• Low maintenance

The technique which the AMAPS uses is a flushing of gas combined with a controlled turbulence inside the tray. This fast and simple system results in a short cycle time and increased pro-duction speed. The entire gas flush process is also extremely efficient, resulting in gas consumption that is not much more than with conven tional machines. Under ideal circumstances a residual oxygen level of less than 0.1% can be obtained in the container. The use of high percentages of oxygen is also possible, making this machine ideal for packing products such as red meat.

The fact that the AMAPS does not pull a vacuum prior to gas flushing means that there is no damage to the pro duct in the container during packaging. Machines that use a vacuum pump tend to impose a large pressure diffe-rence on the products inside the tray,

resulting in the possibility of internal product breakage or loss of water. The AMAPS machine minimizes this problem and is ideal for the packag-ing of delicate products like soft fruit, vegetables, raw fish, or tender meat.

The AMAPS machine is constructed of strong and durable materials for the food environment. The machine can be used for small batch packag-ing or for fully automatic applications. Tooling changeover can be done in a few minutes, making the AMAPS per-fect for applications that require differ-ent tray sizes.

Nitrogen (N2)Nitrogen is mainly used to “displace and replace oxygen” in the package before it is closed. It prevents oxida-tion of pigments, flavourings and/or fatty acids. Nitrogen is inert, odour-less, and has low solubility in water and fats. It has no direct antibacterial or fungicidal properties.

Carbon dioxide (CO2)Carbon dioxide is soluble in water and fat and is an antibacterial and fungi-cidal agent. CO2 and water together form a weak acid (H2CO3). This acid has a bactericidal and anti-microbial effect, it slows down and reduces the proliferation of aerobic bacteria and molds, especially in the absence of oxygen. It is effective at concentra-tions above 20% in atmosphere. It has no stimulating effect on pathogenic organisms. Because CO2 is very solu-ble in water and fats it may promote development of a slightly acidic taste if CO2 use is not properly controlled.

It can also cause the film on packaged products to collapse. This may be either a drawback or a targeted effect.

Oxygen (O2)In general, oxygen is an undesirable element. In some applications, how-ever, it is used as a constituent in a gaseous mixture.It is used in particular for maintain-ing the red colour of meat. It also prevents the proliferation of strictly anaerobic organisms (e.g. for fresh fish).

Argon (Ar)Argon is a chemically inert, odour-less and tasteless gas. It is a ‘heavier’ gas than nitrogen, and is used to protect sensitive products such as wine. However, it is twice as soluble as nitrogen. Hence it can be used in a controlled atmosphere to replace nitrogen in most applications. Its solubility and certain molecular char-acteristics give it special properties for

use with vegetables. Under certain conditions, it slows down metabolic reactions and significantly reduces breathing.

Advantages of packing under modified atmosphere with our machines:• The product retains its form and

texture.• The product looks better.• The product retains its vitamin

content, taste and fat content.• The natural colour of the product

is preserved.• The product will not lose excessive

liquid content (as with a vacuum packaging).

• This method does not require labelling declaration (no additives).

• The need to use preserving agents is reduced if not eliminated.

• Lower labour costs due to longer shelf life (no extra labour in even-ing/ weekend).

The AVM is a vertical form, fill and seal machine, which automatically forms a bag from a flat roll of film, allow it to be filled with free flowing product, and then seal and separate the finished package. Using the appro-priate dosing system, these bags can automatically be filled with free flo-wing solid, powder or liquid products.Audion can supply the integrated

Dosing systemsBesides the advanced packaging machines, Audion manufactures and supplies a wide range of auto-matic dosing equipment suitable for all types of products. For every prod-uct, Audion has the solution to meet the customer’s demand. When high speed and accuracy are required, we have multihead digital combination scales. Linear scaleThe Audion linear scale consists of a weigh bucket with two feeding lanes (fine and coarse). The product is transported from a storage hopper to the weigh buckets by vibration. When the set weight is almost reached the coarse lane will close and the final weight will be made by the fine lane. The scale is controlled by a PLC with menu operated software. The scale is very flexible and can be used for all types of free flowing products, includ-ing rice, coffee, candy, potato chips, pet food, and fertilizer.

Auger fillerThe Audion auger filler is a servo driven dosing system for powders. The machine features stainless steel construction, is easy to clean, and is suitable for the pharmaceutical and food industry. In the storage hop-per an independently driven stirrer continuously mixes the product for high accuracy. The required volume is electronically adjustable by setting

the rotations of the auger. An optional level controller in the hopper can be connected to a feeding system for automatic product refilling.

Volumetric doserThe Audion volumetric doser can be used for free flowing products that need to be packed in a set volume. The volumetric doser comes with a storage hopper and a set of telescopic cups. The system can be equipped with optional discharge valves. These valves are needed to dosage fine products like sand, sugar or salt.

The Audion volumetric doser is avail-able in a 1, 2 or 6 cup version. The 1 cup version is pneumatically oper-ated and the 2 and 6 cup versions are driven by an inverter controlled motor, resulting in higher production speed and product volume.

Belt doserThe Audion belt doser is primarily used for potting soil or similar prod-ucts. Product is delivered to the belt from a storage hopper. Product height is controlled by an adjustable valve. Keeping the belt timing constant assures feeding accuracy. This system is very fl exible and is normally used for applications that require large volume.

Liquid dosing pumpAudion has a full range of stainless steel pumps for dispensing liquids. These pump are used to fi ll the AVM with a set quantity of liquid. The pumps can be set to dispense product automatically or semi-automatically, if desired. Depending on the liquid and dispensing requirements, Audion can supply a suitable pump.

Counting systemsWhen the number of products is more important than the total weight Audion can supply counting machines. AHM 450 - 450E - 550EThe AHM 450 / 450 E / 550 E range are the floor models in the horizontal form fill and seal machine range. The long feeding conveyor and the stable construction make it possible to run these machines automatically at high speeds.

The I-sealer 161B is very convenient for small production runs and is easy to place on the counter in any shop. The I-sealer is developed to seal shrin-kable fi lm. If you use this machine in combination with a heat gun you will be able to produce a shrink package. The 161B is equipped with a holder to place the Heat gun.

The heat gun can be used to shrink fi lm around products that are sealed in heat shrinkable fi lm. The variable heat control allows for low to high working temperature setting. It needs a short heat up time to reach its ope-rating temperature. The heatgun is designed with a built in stand so it can be positioned in an upright (vertical) position.

Healthcare is one of the most impor-tant fundamentals in our life; mankind is spending lots of money on a healthy lifestyle, health insurances and new developments. And simply because good health is unaffordable. Over the last years, different standards have been developed in this sec-tor to ensure that the best available techniques are used on a high level when our health is involved.

The EN 868 is the most well known standard when it comes to sterile packaging. All packaging materials and systems must comply with the restrictions given in Part 1. Part 2-10 relate to the requirements and test procedures for different packaging materials. These tests can be used to show that all requirements have been fulfilled.

The ISO 11607 standard; “Packaging for end-sterilized medi-cal products” has already been used (first as a draft) for several years at an international level.

The ISO committee decided in 2002 to combine both the EN 868 - 1 and ISO 11607 in one new revision; this lead to the joint revision ISO 11607 part 1 and 2. Part 1 is about the requirements and test procedures for packaging materials, part 2 about the validation requirements of packaging processes.

According to this standard, all pack-aging processes must be able to be validated. Validation requires repro-ducible processes. As it comes to the sealing of the bags, the Audion sealers are very easy to validate; they operate automatic and can therefore repro-duce the same seal every time. The parameter controllers on these validat-able sealers constantly monitor all criti-cal parameters and block the machine when they are out of the acceptable band width.

To guarantee the accordance with the machine specifications, our calibra-tion service can be used; the sealer para meters are measured in an official laboratory. We supply an accredited calibration certificate to prove the accuracy of the sealer.

The Audion Magvac is a powerful, stainless steel vacuum sealer equipped with a vacuum nozzle and bi-active sealing bars. This machine can be used for vacuum packaging and modifi ed atmosphere packaging. It is available in two versions; a standard model and a model for validated sealing. This is particularly important in the medical and farmaceutical industry but vali-dated packaging starts to become more important in other industries too. Both versions are availabe with a sealing length of 520 mm, 720 mm and 1020 mm. The machines are standard equip-ped with a foot pedal.

MEDICAL SEALERS TESTING EQUIPMENT

In order to facilitate your validation process, we developed the ATM. With this sophisticated device, you can measure the temperature between the sealing wires and calibrate the machine in accordance with the measured values.

Accordingly to validation processes, the seal temperature needs to be calibated after changing a sealing wire in the machine. With the Audion ATM

device this will now be a very easy operation to do.

The ATM can be used for our MEDSEALERS MSID(V) and for the Power Sealers in MED version.

APT-100 Peel tester

The APT 100 is a device for measur-ing tensile strength of seals made on medical bags. The APT 100 is designed to perform peel tests following the ASTM F88-00 as well as the EN868-5. The machine clamps a specimen and pulls the seal apart, measuring the tensile strength with load cell. The machine collects the data 100 times per second and displays the maximum seal strength.

By transferring the data to a PC, the complete test result will be presented in table and colored graphic chart. Besides the seal strength, the seal width can also be measured according to your own seal strength definition. The result can be

printed out as peel test report for one of your validation processes.
