Dressage and Showjumping Day.

The Organising Committee for this event was made up of our parents with younger children in the Club.

Nicole Martin was mentored by Lu Marciniak, and Coordinated the Dressage sections as well as being En-try Secretary. Heather Coates was mentored by David Stammers and Coordinated the Showjumping, as well as chasing vol-unteers for other tasks. Rhonda Franks again organised the canteen, and pre-pared the Officials Lunches as well.

Volunteers were very thin on the ground for Canteen duty. Rhonda had to resort to contacting ex-members of the Club to run the Canteen successfully. Thank you to Jane Mathews for coming to Rhonda’s assistance. Some of our younger riders who were not competing also helped out.

It was good to see some new faces taking on other im-portant roles necessary for the success of the day.

Thirty-one of our riders entered for this event, but the weather was responsible for some scratchings. The Encouragement Ring gave the very inexperienced riders a very Special Day

Some of the high placegetters in the Dressage were Genevieve Brand in Gr.1, Hayley Marciniak and Isa-belle Luxmoore in Gr.2, Harry Luxmoore and Eliza-beth Brand in Gr. 3, Abbey Martin,Bridget Mouat and Laura Frost in Gr 4 and Madison Ford, Jessica Martin and Sophie Baylis in Gr.5

In the ungraded ring Olivia Gilespie, Kloe Soper ,Phoebe Baylis and Emily Crawford won rib-bons.

In the Showjumping Rings there were only five Rid-dells Creek riders. They were Isabelle Cowley in C Grade, Gabbie Malin in D Gr., Maddison Gretton in E Gr. and Harry Luxmoore and Tana Males in F Gr.

A big thanks to all the RCPC members, fami-lies and friends who helped set up, cooked, cleaned, mowed, designed the SJ course, greeted at the gate, judged, pencilled, marshalled, scored in the Cave, gear checked, manned the office, and packed up at the Dressage/Show Jumping day last week. Your help and support was very much appre-ciated by the organising committee. We had a great day and it was fantastic to see so many RCPC riders from all the different groups participate. Well done everyone (especially our riders and ponies! )

From The 2013 DRESSAGE/SJ committee.

Check the Club web site for all official results from the day.
