2 Introduction

In ATG 2.2, we’ve added a number of new features that will enhance the control you have over

your target board setup, the information that gets displayed, the way that information gets

displayed, and the overall speed of the target board.

This document will run you through the new features you have access to, and how to utilise

them.

3 Target Board Setup

3.1 Business Unit Products

The first major change we’ve made is to the target board setup’s “Business Unit Targets” page,

where we’ve condensed the number of products on the page to only be the products you are

currently targeting on, and we’ve made some quality of life changes to the ratioed product

selection.

As you can see from the above image, we’ve removed any product that doesn’t currently have a

target in your stores. You may notice in the image above that “Apple Music” has no targets, this

is because the product currently has a target on one of the other business units, and we’ve

filtered them out, more info on this shortly.

3.1.1 Page layout

From left to right, each row is laid out as such:

- The red cross, which will delete the target line it is attached to.

- The first orange select button, which you can use to select a product to target.

- The first product name, which you have selected as a target.

- The next section begins with a check box, if this is checked, it indicates that the current

target is a ratioed target.

- The second orange select button, which allows you to select which product you’d like to

ratio the first product against.

- The ratioed product name.

- The next section is where you can set a custom name for your target, this can be handy for

products with very long names, such as if you made the ratio product of: “Business Apps inc

Online Essentials/Handset Contracts All”, you could name this “BA+OE per HS Con”

- Next is the core checkbox, which is used if you have products that are not weighted, but

you’d like them to be pulled further to the left of the target board (just to the right of the

weighted targets)

- Next is the total target line, which for non-ratioed products, shows the total of all stores

displayed.

- Finally, you have the business unit target and weighting columns, where you can select the

amount of a product you’d like to assign to your stores, and the weighting it will give staff

upon reaching these targets.

3.1.2 Creating a non-ratioed or “flat” product

The most basic type of product you can have in ATG is a flat target, where you assign a certain

number of a product to be sold within a business unit, and then the system distributes the sales

targets to the staff that assigned to that business unit. To create a new flat target with the new

setup, simply click the green “Add Target” button at the top of the page, and a new line will be

created at the very bottom of the target list.

Page 6: ATG Solutions – 2.2 New Features and Changes · ATG Solutions – 2.2 New Features and Changes 7/ 18 ATG SYSTEMS – ABN: 82 140 289 309 PH: 08 9722 7321 – EMAIL: support@atgsystems.com.au

Once the new line appears at the bottom of the page, you can click the first orange “Select”

button, and you’ll be greeted with the fol lowing pop-up box:

From this popup box, you can either scroll to the

product you wish to set as the target, or you can

search for the product by using the “Filter” text

box, which will result in the box changing to look

like this:

Once the box has been filtered, you select

the product you’d like to target by clicking

on the check box to the left, and then

clicking the green “OK” button. Your target

line will now look like this:

Since this is a flat product, we won’t check the “Ratio option” checkbox, and we can move

straight to the target name box, which if we want to nickname the product, we can do so here.

After that is the core checkbox, for this example we will be assigning a weighting to this product,

so checking this checkbox will do nothing. We can then enter the target we want our business

Page 7: ATG Solutions – 2.2 New Features and Changes · ATG Solutions – 2.2 New Features and Changes 7/ 18 ATG SYSTEMS – ABN: 82 140 289 309 PH: 08 9722 7321 – EMAIL: support@atgsystems.com.au

unit to hit, and the weighting to be applied to staff, as per usual. Once done, your target will look

something like below, and your flat target will be completed!

3.1.3 Creating a ratioed target

The more complex type of product that you can create in ATG is the ratioed targets, this allows

you to select two products, where you have an amount of one product per an amount of

another product, leading you to have targets such as “ARO per Voice Plan”, “Smart Home per

Consumer Bundle All”, or even “GP per Transaction”. These products will show as either a

percentage or a dollar value depending on the first product chosen. To create a new ratioed

target, as before, you click the green “Add Target” button at the top of the page, and a new line

will be created at the bottom of the targets list.

As previously, you first need to select your primary product, do so by pressing the first orange

“Select” button, selecting the first product from the popup box, and then clicking “OK”. This is

where the process changes, for ratioed product, you’ll need to click the ratio option checkbox,

located here:

Once this box is selected, the second orange “Select” button will turn a brighter orange and

become clickable, and where the second product name would go, you will see “Select Product”,

which will glow yellow for a short period of time. Once you click this second select button, you

will see the familiar product selection popup box, select your product to ratio the first against,

and then click OK. Your target line will now look something like this:

From here we can give our product a nickname, as “ARO / Handsets+Tablets DPC MRO” might

clutter your main target board. For this target, we will call it “ARO Attachment”. Finally, as

before; we can then enter the target we want our business unit to hit, and the weighting to be

applied to staff. Your ratioed product will end up looking something like this:

3.1.4 Notes

- With these changes, you can now have one product be ratioed against as many other

products as you like, simply add the product as the primary product on multiple lines.

- As a safety net, if you’ve filtered out a business unit that you don’t want to work on, you will

be unable to edit or delete a product if that filtered out BU has targets against it.

3.2 Product Incentives

This page has received some minor tweaks, in line with the business unit setup page. It functions

almost identically to how it performed before, but instead of showing all products, it only shows

products you either have a target for on the business unit setup page, or if you’ve manually

added it to this list to set a product incentive against it. We have also added a “Branch Sales

Only” checkbox, which you can use if you only want to count sales from specific stores.

3.2.1 Calculation types

- Each sold, which awards the incentive value for every product sold

- Each if >= Threshold, which will award the incentive value for every product sold, if the

number of sold product exceeds the threshold of the target. For example, a staff member

will receive the incentive value if the threshold is 50% and their target is 10, only once they

have sold 5 or more of the product, at which point they will receive the incentive value for

all 5 or more products sold.

- Ratio if >= Threshold, similar to above, but instead of awarding the full amount per product

sold once hitting the threshold, they will only receive an amount per product, where the

amount is equal to the ratio of the product sold. Using the above example, if the staff

member sold 6 of their target of 10, they’d receive 60% of the incentive value per product

sold.

- Each > target, the staff member will receive the incentive value for every product they sell

over their targeted amount.

3.2.2 Other options

- Threshold, set as a percentage, used in the calculation types above.

- Branch Sales Only, only sales by the staff member that are in the same store they’re

assigned to in ATG will count towards this incentive.

- Incentive <Store>, this is the amount of incentive that will be rewarded per sale, depending

on the calculation type and threshold from above.

3.3 Staff Weightings

This new page within the target board setup is designed to give you more control within each of

your business units. It can be particularly useful if you have any team members dedicated to a

particular product type, say if you have a fixed specialist, but still want them to be on the same

target board as the rest of their team. What this page allows you to do is change the product

weighting set against each staff member, which could potentially allow you to add extra

weighting to “Business Bundles New”, while removing the weightings from “PPN Bus”, ARO

attachment rate, and accessory sales, leading to that particular sales rep becoming dedicated to

a product, without requiring them to sell mobility products.

3.3.1 Page layout

The staff weightings page is laid out very similarly to the staff targets page that comes

immediately before it.

However, the main difference is that instead of targets, this page will display the weightings of

the given products as they have been assigned to your staff.

3.3.2 Weighting colours

There are 3 possible colours for the text of the weighting assigned to staff, and they all have

individual meanings:

- Blue: This is the default colour, it indicates that the staff member’s weighting is

predetermined from the “Business unit setup” page, it also indicates that the staff member

has a target greater than 0 for the given target.

- Red: This is the secondary default colour. Like blue, it indicates that the staff member’s

weighting is predetermined from the “Business unit setup” page . However, in that case the

staff member has a target of 0, and will receive the full weighting regardless of their sales of

this product.

- Black: A black figure indicates that it has been manually entered, whether the staff member

has a target for this product is determined by the previous page.

Page 10: ATG Solutions – 2.2 New Features and Changes · ATG Solutions – 2.2 New Features and Changes 7/ 18 ATG SYSTEMS – ABN: 82 140 289 309 PH: 08 9722 7321 – EMAIL: support@atgsystems.com.au

3.3.3 Making changes

You can make any changes you like to this page. If you wanted to make a staff member

dedicated to business bundles, you could set them up as so:

As you can see, the total is still 100%, but this staff member’s targets would now be heavily

geared towards “Business Bundles New”, while taking away the necessity to sell mobile plans.

3.3.4 Notes

- The 3rd column on the left displays the total weighting for the staff member.

- A red value in that column indicates that the staff member has a total weighting outside of

the normal acceptable range (by default 100%). You can still save your changes if you’re

happy with the set weighting percentages.

- Some staff members do not have their weighting turning red even if the total is out of the

acceptable range. This is because their target percentage set on the staff setup page is 0%,

(managers, till persons, etc).

4 The Focus Board

4.1 Focus Board Overview

The new “Focus Board” is designed to give your staff an easy way to see their sales progress on

their mobile devices, to be a great one-on-one staff training tool, and to give managers a way to

see a rolling measure of how their business unit is performing over a up to 6-target board time

period.

From the above image, you can see that we are looking at a single staff member’s metrics from

the 3-target board, with the latest board ending on the 3rd of May 2018.

4.2 Focus Board Element Breakdown

4.2.1 Focus Options

The “Focus Options” section in the upper-centre of the page offers different ways that you can

break down the data you want to look at, row-by-row, here are the options available to you:

- Business Unit Filter: This option is purely used to assist you in finding the staff you want to

report on, in the above example, we have filtered on “TBC-OB”, as it helped us find “ANNA

S”, a member of that business unit. We didn’t have to enable this filter, it’s purely for ease of

use.

Page 12: ATG Solutions – 2.2 New Features and Changes · ATG Solutions – 2.2 New Features and Changes 7/ 18 ATG SYSTEMS – ABN: 82 140 289 309 PH: 08 9722 7321 – EMAIL: support@atgsystems.com.au

- Branch Specific Sales: Similarly, to how this functions on the main target board, this will filter

the sales from the given staff, and only show sales that were assigned to the same business

unit that they are assigned to.

- Staff Name: This is how you choose the staff you want to focus on. The list also includes

entries for Business Unit Totals, so you can report on the overall performance of your stores.

- Number of target boards: changing the number of target boards here will extend the

amount of time that the focus board covers. Depending if your board is weekly, fortnightly,

or monthly, it will show 1-6 of those time periods.

- Most recent target board: This is where you can select the most recent target board to look

at, and the number of target boards will all be boards prior to the one selected here.

- Layout selection: There are 2 options here; Portrait, which is better suited to mobile devices,

and Landscape, which works much nicer in a desktop or laptop environment.

4.2.2 Reporting Blocks

These reporting blocks are the same kind of reporting blocks as what shows on the left -hand

side of your main target board page, and the default layout of them will match these reporting

blocks entirely. You can edit the reporting blocks that show here in the bonus setup, which will

be explained in section 6.3 of this help document. Along with the reporting blocks, there is also a

“Value Average”, which shows the averaged value of all the resulting figures within the reporting

blocks. These aren’t calculated figures, what that means that if someone worked 10 hours one

week with $100/hr GP ($1000GP in 10 hours), and the second week they earn $50/hr GP in 30

hours ($1500 GP in 30 hours), the system would show an average of $75/hr GP as opposed to

the “true” value of $62.50/hr GP.

4.2.3 Product Targets

This section shows the product targets as they are shown on the main target board. If targets

change from week to week, there may be gaps in the data if no target was assigned (or no longer

exists). The average on this section is a calculated average, meaning that if someone had 100%

for a metric one week (5/5 for example) and 25% the next week (say 1/4), the board would

register 67% (6/9 totalled), or in the above example, you can see Online Essentials product is

displaying 0.3/1 average.

5 New Way to Manage Users

5.1 The New “Manage Users” page

In ATG 2.2, we have revamped the way you manage login access to your target board website, as

well as the permissions each of those users have.

5.2 Accessing the New Page

To access the new user management page, select “Manage Users” from the “Account” top

menu:

From here, you’ll be able to choose if you want to edit an existing user from a dropdown menu

or create a new user from scratch. For this document, we will walk through creating a new user.

Page 15: ATG Solutions – 2.2 New Features and Changes · ATG Solutions – 2.2 New Features and Changes 7/ 18 ATG SYSTEMS – ABN: 82 140 289 309 PH: 08 9722 7321 – EMAIL: support@atgsystems.com.au

5.3 New user creation

Once you’ve clicked the green “Create New User” button, you will be greeted with this page:

5.3.1 Setting user details

- User Name: This is the login name that the staff member will use to access the target board.

- Email: You can enter the staff’s email here, more features will be added to utilise this in the

future, such as password resets, but this isn’t functioning yet.

- Password: The password for the user account, remember to keep this secure!

- Link to ATG Staff: with the addition of the Focus Board in ATG 2.2, you can create users for

ATG that only have access to their own data in the Focus Board. Assigning staff to a login is

part of how we achieve this, and then in the next options, we leave all the remaining options

as “None”, and then when the staff member logs in, they will only see their focus board.

5.3.2 Assigning website roles

The website roles are 2 special roles that will allow the given user the ability to either change

and import certain data or have full access to the ATG website.

- Data Access: Enabling this checkbox will allow the given login to import data from

predetermined data sources, such as ClickPOS, NetPro, Medallia, RAD templates, etc. as well

as allowing the user to review this data and make changes to it if available, changing the

staff assigned to an NPS score, for example.

- Administrator: A user with administrator level access will have read and write access to

everything on the website. This user will have the ability to access and overwrite all setup

menus and all existing passwords for all other users (including other administrators). The

number of users with this level of access should be very limited if possible.

5.3.3 Read access

The “Read Access” section will allow you to assign a different level of viewing-only access to the

target board.

- ALL Business Units: as it says on the tin, this option will allow the user login to see all target

boards, focus boards, GP and product report. The only restriction is on the “private” flagged

lines in reporting blocks.

- None: This user won’t be able to access any target boards or reports, but if they have been

assigned an ATG staff member, they will be able to see that focus board for that staff

member.

- Selected Business Units: Similar to “All Business Units”, except you can exclude some stores

from being visible to this login account.

5.3.4 Write access (aka manager access)

“Write access” is the option that will allow the given user to access the setup me nus, and also

allows the given login access to see all “private” line information on target boards that they have

write access to.

- All Business Units: this user will be allowed to enter into target board setup for all sites and

staff within the ATG website.

- None: This user won’t be able to edit anything at all.

- Selected Business Units: As with read access, this option will allow the user to access target

board setup for the units they are assigned to, this is similar to the “filter business units”

function, but you are unable to access the setup for the unassigned business units.

5.3.5 Completing the user

To finish the user creation, simply click the green “Create User” button.

6.1 Private Line

When creating reporting blocks to be displayed on your target board, we have added a way to

keep some information private from low-access users (non-managers). This can be handy if you

wish to hide manager’s bonus or other metrics from your sales staff.

If a line is set to private, it will only hide the information if the ATG staff member is:

- Linked to an ATG login that has any level of manager or admin access,

- On a bonus structure that is marked as “Applies to managers”.

6.1.1 Setting a line as Private

To set a line in a reporting block as private, simply check this checkbox (example circled in red)

on the appropriate line, and that will enable the privacy feature:

6.2 Colour Options

We’ve made a few changes to the way you can set colours in your reporting blocks too:

- Red box: In this box, we have added hex colour codes. This box is editable, and you can

select a hex colour code you’d like to use, or it will display the hex code of the current colour

in the colour picker.

- Blue Box: We have added additional default colour options, as well as stored any custom

colours you may set as you are creating and editing your reporting blocks.

6.3 Adding More Reporting Blocks to Bonus Structures

The last feature we’ve added has to do with the Focus Board, where you can add additional

customised reporting blocks to your bonus structures, so that different information can come

through for different people. Once you have made your customised reporting blocks, navigate

the the bonus structure page in the bonus setup, and click “Edit” on a bonus structure.

Once you’ve opened this page, scroll down and you will see where you are able to edit what

reporting blocks show up in the focus board.

The top of these 3 sections shows the reporting

blocks that will be displayed on the main target

board. This is the option that has been available

since ATG 2.0.

The second section shows the reporting blocks

that will show up if an ATG login with no

write/manager access attempts to look at the

focus board.

The third and final section shows what will be seen

if a manager or admin login opens up the focus

board, this can be handy for showing extra data for

coaching sessions.
