nriched OpportunitiesAn enriched education is one all our students benefit from. Our modern vibrant academy has a vast array of opportunities within the framework of the taught curriculum. We have excellent sporting facilities for our students to engage in an extensive menu of teams and after school clubs. Performing and expressive arts is another area where our academy excels and activities are offered in drama, dance, music and art.

The academy provides many clubs based around our taught curriculum, including maths, science, languages and computing.

An enriching education is one in which experiences extend the learning opportunities beyond that required or expected. At Aspire our aim is to enrich the educational experience for all our learners. Gifted, able and talented students can expect to be challenged to take their learning well beyond that required for public examinations.

Kelsey Beth Crossley I started Bispham High School in September 2003. In year 8 I managed to gain a place in a drama called Becky’s Story. In year 9 at the age of 14 I won the role of Scarlett Nicholls in Emmerdale. A role which I played for 5 years.

The staff at Bispham High were very supportive in helping me to complete my studies throughout my time at the school. Since leaving high school I have done campaigns for slimming world and the NHS. I have also been involved in various pantomimes and sat on talk show panels.

Thomas EvansAfter finishing at Bispham High in 2006, I went on to do my A Levels at Blackpool Sixth Form and then on to do a degree in Music at University of Leeds.

I graduated in 2011 with a 2:1 BA Honours Degree and decided to make the big move to London to open up my opportunities in the ‘real’ world.

I am now a House Manager at the Dominion Theatre in the heart of London’s West End. Basically I have to look after 2000 patrons who attend the theatre on a nightly basis and run a team of around 40 members of staff.

‘At Collegiate we learned how to improve if our work wasn’t good enough, to keep on trying and not to give up. The school taught us how to revise well and prepared us well’

‘The school had good links with Blackpool Sixth Form College and we used to go there for maths A* classes plus other extra activities. We therefore knew many of the tutors before we came to college full time’
