❖ Science: 11XN- Well done to Bethan Flint, Lois Manton, Vaughn Green, Peggy Anderson, Caitlyn Clarke, Kizzi Green, Rebecka Hipkins,Millie Howarth, Rosie Ormisher and Allima Podmore for all achieving above their targets on their Biology 6 end of topic test. You have all clearly worked very hard in your revision, learning key definitions. Keep it up! Miss Hummerston

❖ Science: 9XF - Kyle Cartmell was outstanding during a science practical and even helped other students when he had finished. His improvement in behaviour is helping Kyle to achieve and he is now one of the best pupils in this class. Well done. Mr Madigan

❖ Science: Miss Hummerston. Well done to Matt Thompson, Frankie Donagher, Ben Bicknell, Ben Sharples and Adam Morgan. These pupils attended a Science Masterclass at Runshaw College and achieved the best Chemist score for makingthermochromic indicators when competing against pupils from other schools. Well done! ❖ Geography: 10ALW - Well done to Eleanor Armstrong, Jasmine Bentley, Frankie Donagher and Alex Keir who all managed to score a detailed level 3 answer on their recent mid-unit ecosystem assessment. Mrs Ward

❖ Maths: 9XCA Well done to the entire class for their fantastic work on linear sequences. Special mention to Kyle Cartmell and Josh Quinn-Heyes who both created their own sequence with manipulatives, translated this into algebra and then graphed it to display linearity. Amazing! Mr Crampton

❖ Maths: 9xAJ - A shout out to Mariam Hassouna, Sarah Beth Lingham and Anika Taylor for great results on all retrieval quizzes so far this year. Well done! Miss Johnson

❖ English: Well done to Jess Madsen, Laura Cocker and Isobel Ashworth (8XCU) for excellent newspaper articles and to Mia Pilkington, Charlie Ryder and David Anness (10XCU) for a really good Reading Fiction paper. Mr Cunningham

❖ Maths: 11CA Incredible work on the most recent assessment by the entire class. Special mention to Alfie Hodgkinson, Amy Wilson and Rosa Dugdale who achieved an astounding 46/50! Mr Crampton

❖ French: Miss Cosgrove would like to congratulate Josh Sculfor, Josh Scarff, Twaha Chughtai, Jack Hughes, Sam Walton and Rhys Rothwell on their VERY impressive work every Tuesday on preparing for their speaking exam. You are doing an AMAZING job and I am very proud of the work you are doing together!

❖ French: 7XB A huge congratulations to this whole class who are all exceeding expectations every single lesson and for absolutely smashing their numbers test. We are already able to say complex compound numbers in French at such an early stage and this is so impressive given that French numbers are so tricky! Mr Stalker

❖ History: Well done to Scarlett Prendergast for another fantastic article on the Battle of Hastings. Brilliantly written and presented! Miss Crabtree

❖ Science: - Well done to all of 10YV for their hard work and dedication when balancing equations. They all tackled balancing higher level equations and succeeded! Super proud!! Extra praise to Jamie-Lee Smallshaw and James Holcroft who were able to talk the rest of the class through their methods. Miss Alston

❖ Drama: Year 11 - Congratulations to 20/20 Drama who completed performances of their devised work. The pieces really reflected six months of intensive and detailed work and were a joy to watch. Every single member of the group performed to the very best of their ability and supported each others’ pieces too. Mrs Gray

❖ Maths: 8XLH Well done to all of 8XLH for excellent work and attitude in Maths so far this year. I can see that the majority of you are really making an effort with homework and retrieval quizzes.
