Arlington con�nues to grow in popula�on, reaching 392,462 in 2018.

The City is also becoming more diverse, seeing an increase in the percent of Black and Hispanic race and ethnicity groups (up 3.7% and 1.8% respec�vely since 2010). Residen�al age groups over 50 and those in their 20s are seeing the largest increases since 2010, though there is a decrease in the number of children under the age of 5 years.

Occupa�ons in Arlington are diversifying and unemployment rates are their lowest in a decade. Residents are becoming more dependent on individual vehicular travel (82%) and travel �mes to places of work are increasing (27.2 minutes).

There is a growing propor�on of senior residents in Arlington, however, individuals between 20 - 29 also

increased, indica�ng a growth in young professionals as well.
