believes the idea of helping others helpthemselves is more productive. “The clients at TI want to be here; they aren’t here as arequirement of another program. They are motivated tochange their lives, and are making the investment inthemselves to do so. Education and jobs turn the crank on theeconomy. TI is helping a lot of people turn the economiccrank. One of the things that I really dig about TI is thenumber of military veterans it serves. These men and womenhave served America, putting their lives on hold and in harm’sway. I’m humbled by their sacrifice. I feel honored to servethem through TI." Rich has been a volunteer at Training, Inc. since 2011 andbelieves there are two reasons why others should get involved: “First, if people want to help our community’s disadvantagedget on the road to long-term self-sufficiency, TI is a greatprogram to support with their time, talent, and treasure. Second, from a practical standpoint, TI has a 30-year trackrecord of results: 5,000 served; 91% job placement; 83% 1-yearjob retention; 3:1 return on investment to the community. Itmakes good business sense.”
It's that time of year! Time to open the windows, let in thefresh air, and get to work! We want our office to truly reflect a professional atmospherefor our trainees as well as staff and visitors. This willinclude going through some different areas of the office topurge and organize. This is a big project and we need as many helpers as we canget! Please join us from Saturday, April 28 9am - 1pm. We have a lot of fun on our Saturday volunteer days and welook forward to seeing you there! There will be plenty ofcoffee and snacks to go around.
