April 2, 2018: Special Assembly A special assembly was conducted by the students of class X to mark the opening session of the academic year 2018-19. The students presented articles on ‘Setting Goals and Achiev- ing Success’. All the students were full of new zeal and enthusiasm. The Principal also mo- tivated the students to raise their standards and perform better in both academics and co- curricular activities during this academic session. April 7, 2018: House Meeting A house meeting was conducted on 7 th April, 2018 for the students of Arun, Bhaskar, Mar- tand and Ravi house. The House Masters, tutors and students of each house had an inter- active session. A special assembly was conducted by the students of class X to mark the opening session of the academic year 2018-19. The students presented articles on ‘Setting Goals and Achiev-ing Success’. It is a way of thanks giving to the Almighty for His abundant grace and providing a good harvest.The Principal, Mr. Nurul Haque addressed the assembly and highlighted the importance of celebrating Baisakhi specially in Punjab & Haryana. April 13, 2018 : Orientation Programme for Parents of Play Group

An orientation programme was organized for the parents of our Pre- Primary students on13h April, 2018. The co-coordinator, Ms. Seema Sharma presented a power point presentation to acquaint the parents with the class routine and various activities. The tiny tots will be involved in interesting activities to develop their emotional, social and thinking skills. The Principal, Mr. Nurul Haque interacted with the parents and assured that their children will be happy and learn new things in a play way method. The parents were eager to know about the academic session and their queries were satisfied.

It was an inter active session and was fruitful for the parents and teachers.

April 19, 2018: Colouring Competition –Class I & II

The students of class I and II participated in colouring competition. All the students participated in this competition enthusiastically and made it a successful event. They coloured the drawings beautifully and it brought out the creativity of the students. The drawings were displayed and were appreciated by the Principal and teachers.

April 21, 2018: Inter House Chess Competition & Dodge Ball Competition

The students of class III to V participated in Inter House Dodge Ball Competition. There were 15 stu-dents in each team. The students fom all the four houses played with full vigour and confidence. They were cheered by their house members. The students of class VI to VIII participated in Inter House Chess Competition There were four partici-pants from each house. It displayed their mental strength and sharpness to defeat their opponents. It was an interesting competition

April 21, 2018: Career Counselling

The senior students of class IX to XII attended a session on career counseling. Dr. B. R. Rao, an IITian from New Delhi had conducted the session for the students. He interacted with the students and gave them insight into various career options. He advised them to choose their stream for higher studies according to their aptitude. He gave them information about various competitive exams and encouraged them to be confident and positive in life.

The students of class IX B conducted the morning assembly to mark this special day. They presented thought, news,articles, quiz and skit which made the students aware about protecting our mother earth and stop polluting and harming it. They realized the importance of 3R’s - reduce, reuse and recycle. The Principal addressed the assembly and advised the students to protect the environment and be a responsible citizens..

April 25, 2018: Video Shooting Of School – Corporate House

A team of professionals visited The Aditya Birla Campus from Corporate House Mumbai.. T The Principal, Mr. Nurul Haque had warmly welcomed the guests and organised the smooth functioning of the video shoot. They had also come to the school and carried out the video shooting right from the arrival of students and their involvement in various activities. The team recorded the conduction of morning assembly which was followed by the drill. A video was made of the class room teaching learning process. They captured the students playing games like throw ball, basket ball etc. , performing dance in the dance

room, playing musical instruments and singing in the music room, working in the science labs and computer lab.

April 26, 2018: Hindi Recitation Class I & II

The students of class I and II participated in Hindi Recitation Competition. They presented their poems with actions and confidence. It was a delight to watch the little ones perform with zeal and enthusiasm.

28th April 2018: Inter House Hindi Recitation Class III to V

The students of class III to V participated in Inter House Hindi Recitation Competition to explore the individual talents and instill confidence in them. It was a joy to see them recite poems with proper intonation and expressions.The judges were impressed with their performance.All the participants were appreciated and the winners were awarded certificates. The students were encouraged by the Principal to keep up the good work.

April, 2018: Results of National Science Olympiad & National Cyber Olympiad

The students of classes V to XII participated in National Science Olympiad and Nationa Cyber Olmpiad organised by Science Olympiad Foundation, New Delhi. Two students bagged Medal of Distinction in National Cyber Olympiad. They are Aditya Agrawal of class X B and Soumya Yadav of class VI A. The other students also performed very well. May 2, 2018:- Inter School Art Competition

Our seven students won prizes in different categories in Inter School Creative Art Competition which was held at The Rajasthan School, Kotputli on 2nd May 2018. It was organized by their Art Department. Four schools had participated in this event. Out of 12 prizes, we won 7 prizes. The students were escorted by the Art teacher, Mr. Ravi Kumar Sharma. May 5, 2018: Inter House Competitions

A. Table Tennis - Class IX-XII

The students of classes IX to XII participated in Inter House Table Tennis competition. The senior boys and girls from all the four houses participated in this competition. It was an in-teresting competition. .

B. English Recitation - Class III-V

The students of class III to V participated in Inter House English Recitation Competition. The students presented their lovely poems with proper intonation and actions. The students recited their poems with confidence and were happy to perform well. It was a good learning experi-ence for them. They were appreciated by the Principal and teachers.

Club Meeting Class VI-X

The students of class VI to X participated in Club Meeting of their respective clubs. The Club Incharges introduced the team members and discussed the action plan for this session. They selected Secretary and Deputy Secretary of their clubs.

May 5, 2018 : Scout/ Guide Meeting

Our P.E. Teacher Mrs. Nitisha Mukherjee attended a meeting at Prince Hotel regard-ing scout and guide summer camp. It was organised by Rajasthan Rajya Bharat Scout & Guide Sthaniya Sangh. The Council Chair Person, Dr. Vijay Nagpal welcomed Mr. Rajvardhan Singh Rathore, Sports Minister who was the Chief Guest at this function. Many Principals and teachers from different schools attended the meeting. They were requested to encourage their students to participate in the summer camp which will be held from 11 May, 2018 to 18 June, 2018

and other issues related to scout & guide camp wrere also discussed.

May 7, 2018: Health Talk By Dr. Elvina Majumdar

The students of class XI and XII attended a health and wellness programme in the AV Gallery. It was conducted by Dr Elvina Majumdar. The session was regarding prevention of heat stroke during the summer season. She explained to the students about the precautions to be taken while going out in summers. She advised them to increase the intake of water. It was a highly informative session for the students as they were made aware about importance of remain-ing hydrated to combat extreme heat and stay healthy.

May 12, 2018: Inter House Yoga Competition – Class III to VIII

Yoga is an integral part of school curriculum. The students of class III to VIII participated in Inter House Yoga Competition. All the four houses had a team of twelve members including both boys and girls. The students performed various yoga postures on the soothing music selected by their house. The teams per-formed quite well by synchronising their steps with their team mates. It will help the students to improve their physical fitness and be mentally alert. The Principal

appreciated the students for their wonderful performance.

May 12, 2018: Drawing Competition

The students of our school participated in drawing competition which was or-ganized by the Environment Department of KCW Plant, Kotputli. The theme of the competition was Save Environment. The topic for the juniors was Water Conservation and for the seniors it was Plastic Pollution. The students took part in this competition with great enthusiasm and made beautiful drawings.

May 16, 2018: Special Assembly

The students of class V A conducted a special assembly. The theme was Discipline. They presented thought, news, poem and article. The Principal appreciated their performance and confidence. He gave away the certificates to the winners of Inter House Competitions who had participated in various sports and co- curricular activities. He motivated the students to take part in such activities and also to excel in academics. He advised the students to complete their holiday home work and pursue their hobbies for their development.

Miss. Sonal Garg has brought laurels to ABPS, Kotputli by securing AIR-944 in NEET 2018. She was the school topper in AISSCE 2015-16 securing 92% marks. She used to a keep an excellent balance between study hours and recreation hours. Her success mantra is dedication, determination and hard work.

World Environment Day

The students had participated in Poster Making Competition on the occasion of World Environment Day which was organized by the KCW Plant. The winners of the compe-tition received prizes from the Unit Head, Shri Vinay Bhaleraoji. The objective was to create awareness among the people to protect our environment and use ecofriendly things.

Workshop- Capacity Building Program on Career Guidance

Mr.Mukesh Kumar Pareek, PGT English of our school has participated in two days of Capacity Building Program on Career Guidance organised by Centre of Excellence, CBSE Ajmer on 22nd& 23rd of June 2018 at Tagore Public School, Jaipur. The programme targeted on career guidance to the school children for better future prospective. The resource persons were Mrs. Rita P. Taneja, Principal of SV Public School, Jaipur &Mrs.UrvashiWarman, Prin-cipal of Palace School, Jaipur. Through various interesting activities, they ex-

plained about the different career options for the students. The programme was enriching and the participants received certificates.

Interaction of Unit Head with Staff Members

The Unit Head of KCW Plant,, Shri Vinay Bhaleraoji had visited the school along with theFunctional Head, HR, Mr. G.R. Kapoorafter the summer vacation to uplift the morale of the teachers for the academic session 2018-19. They congratulated the teachers for achieving good result for the Board classes of ClassX and XII. Shri Vinay Bhaleraoji motivated the teachers to impart value based education for the all round development of the students.He also informed that the KCW Plant had received Bhamashah Award from the State Government in a function at Jaipur for

it’s contribution in the field of education. The Principal, Mr, Nurul Haque conveyed his gratitude on behalf of the school for their guidance and support and assured them to try to be the best in our Aditya Birla Group

July 2, 2018: Founder’s Day Celebrations

The Founder’s Day was celebrated in the school on 2ndJuly, 2018 with great joy and enthusiasm. Mr. Vinay Bhalerao, The Unit Head of KCW plant was the Chief Guest on this occasion. The function was also attended by the Functional Heads, Mr. M.L.Lahoti and Mr. G.R.Kapoor and other Head of De-partments. A short cultural programme was presented which consisted of speeches, songs & dance. The Chief Guest, Mr. Vinay Bhalerao addressed the

students & teachers and congratulated them for making a remarkable progress during the last 10 years.

He motivated everyone to be techno savvy and upgrade their skills to reach greater heights and instill values in youngsters to become good human beings. He also felicitated Mrs. Prabha Dubey, our Sanskrit teacher who has served the institution for 20 years. It was a won-derful event.

National Cyber Olympiad, 2018 The students of our school had participated in National Cyber Olympiad, 2018 organised by Science Olympiad Foundation. Master Ankit Yadav of Class XII secured 11th rank in Rajasthan and 84 at International level. Masterr Soumya Yadav of Class VII secured 22ndrank in Rajasthan and 168 at International level.

IAYP- Silver Level Award 14 students of our school have cleared their Silver Level of International Award for Young People conducted by The Duke of Edinburgh’s at Delhi. The students belong to senior group from class IX to XII. They had participated in various activities and adventure camp to lget this silver level award.

July 11, 2018 Special Assembly : World Population Day The students of class XII A conducted a special assembly to mark the occasion of World Population Day. They presented thought, news, and articles to create awareness about the impact of population on our environment. They also conducted a quiz based on the same theme. It was a wonderful assembly which lay stress on maintaining ecolog-ical balance and make this earth a better place.

July 12, 2018: Poem Recitation – Class I & II The tiny tots of class I and II participated in English Recitation Competition. They were very excited and delivered their poems with great joy and confi-dence. Their gestures, modulation of voice and over all presentation was worth appreciating. July 12, 2018: Health Talk by Dr. Elvina Majumdar

The girl students of class IX to XII attended a health talk by Dr. E. Majumdar, C.M.O. KCW Health Center. She explained to the students about maintaining personal hygiene, hormonal changes during adolscence and it’s impact. She also explained about the menstural cycle and how to deal with the problems related to it. The importance of eating nutritious diet was also discussed with the students. She also answered to their queries satisfactorily. It was an enriching experience for the girls.

July14,2018 : Inter House Competitions

Various activities and competitions were held on 14th July to bring forth the hidden talent of students

a. Chess Competition: The students of class III to V participated in Inter House Chess Competition. All the participants from different houses were eager to perform well and win. It was a battle of wits among the young intelligent chess players.

b. English Extempore Competition: The students of class VI to VIII participated in English Extempore Competition. The students were given interesting topics on the spot. They were keen to do well in this literary competition. They dis-played their rhetorical skills by expressing their views confidently and flu-ently. Most of the students performed well and the audience enjoyed listening to these budding orators.

c. Throw ball & Volley ball: The students of class IX to XII participated in outdoor activities. The girls participated in Inter House Throw ball match and boys participated in Inter House Volley ball Competition. Both the matches were interesting and they gave tough competition to the opponents. The winners were congratulated by the Principal and teachers.

New Initiative : Assembly by the Students of Pre- Primary Wing The students from classes LKG to Class II attended a special assembly which was con-ducted by the students of class II. The little ones presented prayer song, thought, po-ems and a value based story. The participants wore beautiful costumes and spoke confidently. They were appreciated by the Principal and teachers. The objective of conducting this assembly was to shun their stage fear and instil confidence in the tiny tots.

The students of English Literary Club conducted a special assembly on the occa-sion of World Readers’ Day. They presented Thought, News, Poems, Vocabulary section, Articles on Importance of Reading and also conducted a Quiz. They were appreciated by the Principal for creating awareness among students and he also motivated the students to inculcate the habit of reading.

July 21, 2018: Inter House Competitions

A) INTER HOUSE QUIZ COMPETITION : ( VI – VIII ) The students of class VI to VIII participated in Inter House Quiz Competition.There were four participants from each house. The students had performed well in the different rounds related to art & culture, science & maths, sports etc. The most interesting was the rapid fire round. Debate Competition. There were four participants from each house. The topic of the debate was “ Marksheets are not mirror of one’s true Performance .” All the participants were prepared well. They put forth their arguments and counter arguments with facts and figures. They spoke confidently and gave smart answers during the rebuttal. It was an interesting competition. The Principal appreciated the participants for their oratorical skills.

July 29, 2018: Inter House Competition – Throw Ball

The students of class VI to VIII - Girls participated in Inter House Throw ball match. The final match was played between Arun House and Martand House. It was a very interesting match as both the teams played with great confidence.The winner team was Arun House and Martand House was the Runners Up. They were congratulated by the Principal, Mr. Nurul Haque and teachers.

August 2, 2018: Investiture Ceremony

A special assembly was conducted to hold the Investiture Ceremony. On this sol-emn occasion the Chief Guest Mr. G.R. Kapoor, Functonal Head, HR from KCW Plant was warmly welcomed by the Principal, Mr. Nurul Haque. Mr. G.R. Kapoor gave badges to the Prefectorial Body and administered the oath of allegiance to the Head boy, Head girl and Council members. He addressed the gathering and con-gratulated all the council members. He reminded the students to shoulder their re-sponsibilities with sincerity and maintain the decorum of the office. They must be the role model for other students. He wished them all the best for a new innings in

Releasing School Magazine

The Annual School Magazine Arunodaya was released by the Chief Guest, Mr. G.R. Kapoor, Functional Head, HR KCW Plant. 59 students from our school participated in Rajasthan Rajya Bharat Scout & Guide exam. 40 students received certificates on completing Second Sopan and 19 students received certificates on completing Third Sopan. They also partici-pate in various activities organised for scout & guide at district level.

August 9, 2018: Inter School Debate Competition

Two students namely Shashank of class XII and Gourinandna of class XI partici-pated in Inter School Debate Competition which was held at Dundlod Vidhyape-eth, Dundlod. There were nearly 80 participants from 40 schools. The topic for the debate was Technological Progress is Hampering Human Values. The students ex-pressed their views for and against the motion. Our students performed quite well and received certificates and trophy.

August 15, 2018: Independence Day Celebrations

72nd Independence Day was celebrated in the school with great pomp and splendour. On this occasion the Chief Guest, Mr. G.R. Kapoor, Functional Head, HR KCW Plant hoisted the national flag. It was followed by the march past of the four houses and a troop of Scouts & Guides joined them. The students presented group song, speeches, skit and group dance. They paid tribute to our freedom fighters and conveyed importance of giving respect to girls and women. The Chief Guest, Mr. G.R. Kapoor gave an inspiring speech on this occasion. A group of students fom our school had participated in Inter School Dance Competition held at Sardar School, Kotputli. The basketball matches were conducted between all the four houses Arun, Bhaskar, Martand and Ravi. Both the boys and girls participated in this compe-tition. The finals were very interesting. The winners were Ravi and Arun House among the boys and among the girls the winners were Bhaskar and Martand House.

2. Club Meetings – Classes VI to X

The students from class VI to X participated in various activities organized by their respective clubs. Each club conducted an activity which was planned by the Club Incharge. The students were involved in activities like story writing in the English Literary Club, making posters of historical monuments in Heritage, Club etc. The objective is to develop the child’s creativity and imagination & to teach them team work.

August 21, 2018: Special Assembly- Safety & Security at School

The students of Disaster Management Club and Class IX B conducted a special assembly to create awareness about safety and security as ‘Prevention is better than cure.’ The students explained about indoor safety – in classrooms, labs; outdoor safety - on playground; po-

tential hazard s - electrical, fire; emergencies – earthquake etc. They also conducted a safety drill where the students had to assemble in an open space. The Principal, Mr. Nurul Haque encouraged the students to be vigilant and follow the safety rules at school to avoid a mishap and also advised them to follow safety measures at home and be safe.

The auspicious occasion of Rakshabandhan was celebrated with great zeal & enthusiasm in the school. The students from Pre- Primary and Primary section participated in this function. August 28, 2018 : Workshop on First Aid for Teachers

All the teachers attended a workshop on First Aid at KCW Health Centre. Dr. E. Majumdar conducted the workshop and told the teachers about the importance of first –aid through a power point presentation.. She further explained how to give first – aid to the students in case there is a medical emergency like students may get injured on the

play ground or feel sick. She gave important information regarding handling a bruise, a cut, a burn, a fracture, breathing prolem , fainting etc. The steps for giving CPR were taught to the teachers by giving demonstration. It was a highly informative and useful session.

August 28, 2018: Special Assembly- by Eco Club

In school we always endeavor to sensitize our students to understand, appreciate and conserve the nature and to live harmoniously with it. In this process Eco club had organized a thought provoking assembly to cater the message of protection of the environment and to appreciate the beauty of the nature. Through such type of programs we intend to

September 5, 2018: Teachers’ Day Celebration

Teachers’ day was celebrated in the school with great zeal and enthusiasm. The senior students of class XI and XII invited the Principal and teachers to commence the program by lighting the lamp and paying floral tribute to Dr. S. Radhakrishnan. The students greeted the Principal and teachers by presenting cards. The senior stu-dents had taken up the role of teachers and took classes. Later they presented a short cultural program which consisted of speeches, group songs, dance and a skit. A friendly cricket match was played between the teachers and senior students. It was a joyful occasion where students showed their respect and affection for teachers and made it a memorable day for all.

On this occasion Mr. Nurul Haque, the Principal had organized a Mega Tree Plantation Program. The members of Parent Teacher Association, teachers and students planted 500 saplings in the school cam-pus to create awareness regarding clean and green environment. It was a collaborative effort of the school and KCW Management. The students will learn to nurture the plants.

September 6, 2018: Workshop on Skill Development

A workshop on Skill Development was conducted for the School staff on 06th September2018. The resource person was Dr. N.K Sharma, Secretary,Rajsamand Chapter of Quality Circles & HRD at JK Industries Ltd He has experience of 40 years in the field of HR- Manufacturing & CSR. He is also the certified auditor for IATF, ISO-14001, 18001, SA-8000.

He conducted activities to show how one can enhance their alertness and be a good observer. He also emphasized that one can communicate more efficiently through gesture and body language. It is more impactful than the verbal communication. Everyone must be prepared to face challenges in life and be a life - long learner. Teachers as well as parents must be role model for children as they imitate the elders. One must express love and affection towards

the children and must spend quality time with them. All the children are unique and as teachers we must accept them with their strength and weaknesses. The teacher must try to bring out the hidden talent of the child for the overall devel-opment of the child. It was an interesting, enriching and a motivating session for the staff.

September 1 - 15, 2018: Cleanliness Campaign Swachh Bharat

The school has conducted following activities to participate in Cleanliness Drive for Swachh Bharat. The objec-

tive was to create awareness among students to maintain cleanliness in school and in their neighbourhood.

1. Green School Drive (05-09-2018)

The students from classes VI to XII along with the parents and teachers participated

in tree plantation drive. The students planted nearly 500 saplings in the school cam-

pus. The students cleaned the area and then each group planted the saplings. The

students are going to take care of the saplings which they have planted and will keep

the school clean and green.

3. Letter Writing (14-09-2018)

The students of Class X participated in a Letter Writing Competition on

Cleanliness and Hygiene. It was organised by the school. It created

awareness among students to report about unhygienic condition to the

concerned authority in their district.

4. Exhibition (11-09-2018)

The students from classes III to X participated in Exhibition based on Cleanliness

Drive. The students displayed their posters and drawings on the bulletin board to

create awareness among the students regarding keeping their school and surrounding

clean.

5. Hand Wash Day (07-09-2018)

The students from classes III to V participated in Hand Wash activity

under the supervision of teacher incharge. It was conducted to create aware-

ness among students regarding hygiene and develop sense of

cleanliness.

6. Personal Hygiene Day (08-09-2018)

On 8th of September children were taught about the healthy food habit and they

were also made aware about the clean and hygienic surrounding. Children were

trained and taught how to cut and trim the nails, take proper bath, proper hair care

and regular cleaning and washing of clothes.

7. Shramdaan Acitivity (15-09-2018)

On 15th Sept. children of class VI-VIII were motivated to do some shramdaan

for the school and the surrounding. Children were divided into few groups and

under the able guidance of the teachers they did various shramdaan activities

like cleanliness, picking the garbage, sweeping the school pathway etc. They

learnt about dignity of labour.

September 15, 2018: CBSE Workshop on Life Skill at Alwar

A Workshop on ‘Life Skill’ was conducted by CBSE under their ‘Capacity

Building Programme’ at Alwar Public School, Alwar. Two teachers Mr. Ashok

Kumar Sisodia and Mrs. Vinita Sharma from our school attended the work-

shop. Around 68 participants from various schools attended the workshop. The

resource persons were Mrs.Rachna Grover and Mrs.Reenu, Trainer at CBSE.

The aim was to assimilate and appreciate the importance of life skills through

Self Awareness, Problem Solving, Decision Making, Critical Thinking, Crea-

tive Thinking, Interpersonal relationship, Effective Communication, Empathy,

Managing Emotions, and Dealing with Stress. It was a great learning experi-

ence for all the teachers. Each life skill was dealt with personal and day-to-day

examples. And the teachers actively participated in it

September 27, 2018: English Recitation Competition

2nd October, 2018: Gandhi Jayanti Celebrations

The school celebrated 150th Birth Anniversary of Gandhi ji with great pomp and show.

A Special Assembly was conducted by the students to mark this occasion. The Principal Mr. Nurul Haque and all the teachers paid a floral tribute to Gandhi ji. The students presented thought, news, article on ‘International Non Violence Day’ and favourite bhajan of Gandhi ji. They also presented a skit to depict the life and work of Gandhi ji. The Principal addressed the assembly and motivated everyone to follow the principles of Truth and Non- Violence shown by Gandhi ji.

The students fom class IX to XII participated in Cleanliness Drive in the school to celebrate Gandhi Jayanti. The school Principal, Mr. Nurul Haque inaugurated the event and informed the students about the Swacchh Bharat Campaign also. All the students and teachers worked in teams to clean the school campus. The objective was to train the future generation to main-tain cleanliness as it is rightly said, “Cleanliness is next to Godliness.”

The students from class VI to VIII participated in a Rally to create awareness about communal harmony among the residents of the colony. One of the student played the role of Gandhiji and led the other students with placards. They sang bhajans and shouted slogans on the way to convey the message of peace, love and harmony.

The senior students participated in Yoga and Meditation. The Principal Mr. Nurul Haque conducted this session for the students to make them aware about leading a healthy life style which is free from stress. Yoga keeps the students physically fit and agile and meditation helps them to be calm and peaceful.

October 4, 2018: Outdoor Art Activity -Wall Painting

The senior students of Class X participated in an outdoor art activity where they had painted the boundary wall of the school under the guidance of the art teacher. The theme was based on environmental and social issues. They made beautiful paintings to convey a strong mes-sage to save and protect our environment. B. Spell Bee - Class III-

The students of class III to V participated in Inter House Spell Bee Competition. There were six participants from each house. There were six rounds and all the teams tried their best to do well. It was a good learning experience for them. They were appreciated by the Principal and teachers.

C. Kho-Kho- Class VI-VIII

The boys of class VI to VIII participated in Inter House Kho- Kho Competition. All the four teams participated with great enthusiasm in this competition. The two teams which reached the finals were Arun House and Martand House. The win-ners were Arun House and they were congratulated by all. October 10, 2018: Visit of Mr. Kiran Patil

Mr. Kiran Patil and his wife had visited the school along with all the Functional Heads and their wives. They were warmly welcomed by the Principal, Mr. Nurul Haque and teachers. He had come to inspect the safety and security measures and discipline of the school. He took a round of the campus and interacted with the students and teachers. He was delighted to see the monitoring of the students by CCTV cameras. He appreciated the management, Principal, teachers and students for their involvement in keeping the campus safe and secure. He conveyed his best wishes to all. It was a memorable visit for us as he motivated the Principal, staff and students to continue the good work and bring laurels for the institution.

The students of our school participated in CBSE Cluster Athletics Meet -2018. It was held at Shekhawati Public School, Dundlod, Jhunjhun district from11/10/2018 to 14/10/2018. The team comprised of three girls and seven boys. They were accompanied by Mr.K.Basavarajkumar and Mrs.Nitisha Mukher-jee. We are delighted to inform that Rekha Meena of Class XI bagged SILVER MEDAL in high jump under-19 category. She is selected for CBSE National Ath-letic Meet which will be held at PSSEMR School Devengere, Karnataka from 04/11/2018 to 08/11/2018. Some of our students secured 4th position in their events.

October 12, 2018: Health Talk by Dr. Evelina Majumdar

All the staff members attended a health talk by Dr. E. Majumdar, C.M.O. KCW Health Centre. She explained to the teachers about leading a healthy life style and how to overcome stress. She advised that one should do walk, exercise, yoga and meditation or play a sport to remain physically and mentally fit.The importance of eating nutritious and balanced diet was also discussed with the teachers. She motivated the teachers to lead a happy and healthy life. It was an enriching experience for all.

October 13, 2018: Inter House Quiz Competition

The students of classes IX to XII participated in Inter House Quiz competition with great excitement. There were four participants from each house. The questions were based on different topics like politics, sports, current affairs, science, literature, math-ematics etc. The most interesting round was the rapid fire round. Some questions were for the audience too. It was an interesting competition. Arun House won the competition. They were congratulated by the Principal, Mr. Nurul Haque. He also praised the other participants for giving a tough fight in the competition. The objective was to improve the general knowledge of the students and boost their confidence.

All the staff members and non- teaching staff attended a workshop on Fire Safety. It was conducted by the officials of Safety Department, KCW Plant. They demonstrated the use of different types of fire extinguishers and explained what precautions must be taken in case of any fire accident. They informed how the fire brigade can be called in case of a huge fire accident. They also gave tips to take precautions in school

The school had organised Annual Health Check - up of students from 23rd October to 27th October following the CBSE guidelines .A team of doctors from Jarma Wellness LLP from Mumbai had conducted health check- up of students from Play Group to Class XII. The team comprised of physicians, paramedics, dentist and opthalmologist. The doctors thor-oughly examined the students and recorded the medical details of all the students. The doctors would inform the school in case any student required further medical advice. All the students had registered for the health check - up and they will receive their health records later.

The students of classes III to V participated in Inter House Rangoli Making Competi-tion. A group of 8 students from all the four houses participated in this competition. One of the student was dressed as SardarVallabh bhai Patel. The students carried placards with slogans to create awareness among the people to be united and live with peace and harmony.

3. Mock Evacuation Drill:

The senior students participated in a Mock Evacuation Drill along with their teachers with enthusiasm The objective was to ensure the safety of students in school premises during an emergency. The students learnt to evacuate the building quickly and assemble at a safe point. The school is concerned about the safety of the students and takes necessary steps from time to time.

The senior students of our school participated in Essay Writing Competition to celebrate National Education Day. The topic for the essay was ‘Education Sys-tem – Then and Now.’ The objective of conducting this literary activity was to create awareness among students about the contribution of Maulana Abul Kalam Azad in the field of education.

November 14, 2018: Childrens Day Celebration

To mark the birth anniversary of Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru a special assembly was conducted for the students. The students of class X presented thought, news, article on Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru and his famous speech – Tryst with Destiny. It was followed by a melodious group song. The students of play group had dressed as Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru and spoken about his life. The Annual Day of ABPS Kotputli was held with great fervor and enthusiasm on 25th November, 2018 in the school campus. Shri Vinay Bhaleraoji,Unit Head, KCW Plant was the Chief Guest. The programme was attended by all the Func-tional Heads, distinguished guests, District Education Officer and Block Education Officer. The function commenced by lighting the lamp by the Chief Guest and dignitaries and paying floral tribute to Shri Aditya Vikram Birla Ji. It was followed by Aditya Vandana .

The school Head Girl formally welcomed the Chief Guest Shri Vinay Bhaleraoji, dignitaries, parents and guests. The stu-dents from Pre- Primary to Class XII participated in cultural program which was an amalgamation of group songs, folk dance, western dance, English play, Hindi play, Mime, Kavi Samelan, orchestra etc. The audience was mesmerised and enthralled by their wonderful performance. It was a display of colourful kaleidoscope of different flavours of our rich and varied culture.

On this occasion The Award Ceremony was held. The Chief Guest, Shri Vinay BhaleraoJi gave away prizes to the winners who had excelled in academics, co- curricular activities and sports. Arun House was declared the winner and lifted the trophy. Bhaskar House was the Runners –Up. Some teachers were also felicitated for their commendable result in Board Examination. He appreciated the students and encouraged the students to do well in both academics and co- curricular activities. He motivated them to imbibe good values and be responsible citizen of the country. He conveyed his best wishes to the students for their future endeavours.

The school Principal, Mr. Nurul Haque had presented the Annual Report for the Academic Session 2017-18 highlighting the achievements of the institution and the innovative approach adopted for safety and security of the students. The school has conducted following activities to celebrate Cyber Security Day. The objective was to create

awareness among students about safe and secure use of internet. Mr. Rupesh Kumar from IT Department,

2. Painting Competition:

The students from class VI to X participated in Painting Compe-

tition. The theme for the competition was Cyber Safety and Secu-

rity. The students made beautiful drawings related to cyber

December 15, 2018: Health Talk by Dr. EvelinaMajumdar

The students of class VI to VIII attended a health talk by Dr. E. Majumdar, C.M.O. KCW Health Centre. She explained to the students about importance of First Aid& CPR. They were given basic training in first aid so that they can handle

any situation in case of an emergency. Dr. Majumdar and Mr. Sharma taught how to use all the different types of bandages and other equip-ments in the first aid box. They were also trained to give CPR to a person if the need arises. It was a highly informative session and will be useful for the students.

The students of class I and II participated in Read Aloud Competition. The students had to read from a given passage. The students read their topic with correct pronunciation and pauses. Most of the students were very confident. They were encouraged by their teachers.

The students from class Play Group to U.KG .participated in tear and paste competition. The students were given scenery in which they had to paste small pieces of col-ourful papers and fill it. The students were involved in their work with great dedication. They had to tear by hands and not use a scissor. The students completed their

design in a colourful and beautiful manner. The work of the students was displayed on the bulletin board. The children enjoyed a lot during this competition.

December 21, 2018: Class Assembly by Class II A

The students from classes PG to Class II attended a special assembly which was conducted by the students of class II - A. The little ones presented prayer song, thought and a value based story, The Sun went hiding one Day- Story of eclipse. The participants wore beautiful cos-tumes and spoke confidently.

December 22, 2018: Inter House Dance Competition – Class VI to VIII

The students of classes VI to VIII participated in Inter House Dance Competition with great excitement. There were eight participants from each house. All the four houses presented different dances. They all looked very pretty in their colourful costumes and jewellery. They presented contemporary dance like robotic dance, ganpati dance. They danced gracefully and mesmerized the audience with their performance. It was indeed a visual treat for the audience. The Principal, judges and teachers appreciated the participants for their team work and lovely perfor-mance.

December 22, 2018: Inter House Football Competition – Class IX to XIIThe football team of boys from classes IX to XII participated in Inter House Football Match. The com-petition was very interesting as each house gave a tough fight to their opponent. .Mar-tand House played against Arun House in the final. December 24, 2018: Christmas Celebrations

A special assembly was conducted by the students of class VII B to celebrate Christmas. They presented thought

news, song and article on Joy of Giving. They also presented a skit based on the birth of Jesus Christ and the school

choir sang Christmas carols. The students of Primary classes were very excited and happy to participate in the cele-

brations and dressed as Santa Claus and angels on this occasion. They sang and danced with their teachers and en-

joyed this festival. The Principal appreciated the students and narrated a story from Bible with the message of Christ-

mas. He urged everyone to spread peace and joy around them and wished everyone Merry Christmas on this auspi-

cious occasion.

December 26, 2018: Interaction with School Management

All the staff members attended an interactive session with the Unit Head of

KCW Plant, Shri Vinay Bhalerao Ji and Functional Head HR, Shri Navneet Jat-

ley on 26th December, 2018. They were welcomed by the Principal, Mr. Nu-

rul Haque in a formal manner. Shri Vinay Bhalerao Ji explained the im-

portance of the core values of the ABG and how to sync the day to day work

with the same. He expected the school team to work towards excellence and

produce good results. He also mentioned that the safety and security of the

students must be our prime concern and to leave no stone unturned in this

aspect. He motivated the teachers to keep learning and use technology to

upgrade the teaching learning process. Mr. Navneet Jatley also addressed

the gathering and told the teachers that the management is eager to address

the issues related to betterment of the school and staff. Some teachers had discussed their problems and were satis-

fied with the positive response from them. The Principal had given some suggestions to improve infrastructure ac-

cording to the needs of the students. It was a fruitful session and it was decided that such meetings will be held on a

regular basis.

December 27, 2018: Annual Sports Meet

Annual Sports Meet was held in the school on 27th December,2018. The Principal Mr. Nurul Haque declared the Sports Meet Open and extended his best wishes to all the participants. The students from Play Group to Class XII had participated in this event with great enthusiasm and excitement. The Primary students participated in 80m race, balloon race, hurdle race, carrying the partner race, going to school race etc. It was great fun to watch the little boys and girls participating with joy in these races. The secondary and senior secondary students participated in 100m race, 200m race, long jump, shotput, triple jump etc. These students represented their houses and were cheered by their house members. The winners were awarded certificates and medals by the Principal. All the students had enjoyed participating in this event and they displayed strength, vigour, stamina, sportsmanship, zeal and grit. It was an interesting and fun filled event. which created lot of wonderful memories.

January 7, 2019: Special Assembly – Welcoming the New Year

A Special Assembly was conducted on 7th January when the school re- opened after the winter break. The students of Class V conducted the assem-bly with new zeal and enthusiasm. They presented thought, news, and article on New Year resolutions. They also presented a group song to inspire all to begin the new year on a positive note. They conducted a Quiz to improve the general awareness of students. January 12, 2019: Workshop by the Principal for Pre- PrimaryTeachers

The Principal, Mr.Nurul Haque had conducted a workshop for teachers of Pre-Primary on 12th January, 2019 in the AV Gallery. On the very out - set he said that the teacher should be in a peaceful state of mind and must de-vote enough time to make the little ones understand the things. He gave valuable tips for making the lesson easy. He demonstrated how the teach-ers can use slanting lines, sleeping lines and straight lines to teach the pre- primary students. The workshop was highly informative and fruitful as the Principal was able to guide the teachers to maintain the high standards of the institution.

January 17, 2019: Class I -II Hindi Story Telling Competition

The students from class I and II participated in story telling competition. The students were very eager and delighted to perform in front of the Pri-mary students. The students presented beautiful short stories with moral. They were trained by their teachers to speak with confidence. The little kids impressed the audience with their art of story- telling. January 21, 2019: Session on Career Counselling

The school had organized a career counseling session for the students of classes IX to XII. The resource person was Dr. Veena K. Arora from Jaipur. She has been conducting such sessions for students in various schools to guide the students and give an insight to them to choose a career which they can enjoy. She informed the students that there are a variety of options for the students of different streams like science, humanities & com-merce. She told the students about nine Multiple Intelligence and the career options in each category. The stu-dents could identify which multiple intelligence they are good at and can link it to a career based on it. This way they can opt a career which will be rewarding for them. It was an interesting and a fruitful session.

January 24 & 25, 2019: Regional Level Science Exhibition, 2018-19

Two students of our school, Tanmay Goyal and Ronak Agarwal from class VIII participated in Regional Level Science Exhibition at Gyan Vihar Co- Education English Medium School, Jaipur on 24th and 25th January. They were escorted by our Science Teacher, Mr. Ravi S. Sharma. It was organized by CBSE. There were 67 models represented by various schools. Our students had made a working model, “Multipurpose Drone”. The students qualified upto Second Round and received participation certificates. It was a good learning experi-ence for them.

January 26, 2019: Republic Day Celebrations

The school celebrated 70thRepublic Day with great zeal and enthusiasm. On this national festival, the Chief Guest was Shri Vinay Bhalerao Ji, Unit Head, KCW Plant. The function was attended by Functional Heads, Head of Depart-ments, distinguished guests and parents. The national flag was unfurled by Shri Vinay Bhalerao ji and everyone sang national anthem with pride. It was followed by March Past where the School Head Boy and School Head Girl led all the four houses and the troop of Scouts & Guides. The Principal welcomed all the guests in a formal welcome speech. On this occasion a short cultural programme was presented. It included patriotic songs, speeches, dances and skit. It was a wonderful programme paying homage to our freedom fighters and depicting our unity in diversity. The audience was left spellbound by the spectacular performance of the students. The Chief Guest delivered a speech on this occasion and congratulated all the students for participating and dis-playing their talent. He motivated all the students to work hard and strife for excellence and pursue their dreams. He wanted the students to perform their duty towards their nation with great dedication and uphold the values of our country. At the end the school Vice Head Boy proposed a vote of thanks. The students of classes III to VIII participated in Junior Editor Competition which was organized by Dainik Bhaskar, Jaipur. 101 students participated in this competition from our school. January 29, 2019: INTER SCHOOL DEBATE COMPETITION AT ABPS RAWAN

Two students of our school, Gourinandana fom class XIA and Vaangyaa Banerjee from class IXB were selected for the final round of debate and had participated in Inter School Debate Competition. It was held at ABPS Rawan, Chattisgarh. The students were trained and escorted by Mr. Mukesh Kumar Pareek, HOD English department. The topic for the de-bate was Social Media has a real anti – social effect on Society. There were 10 schools which had participated in this competition and it was quite interestying. Our students spoke extremely well and their orator-ical skills helped them to bag II Prize. Also Miss Vaangyaa Banerjee clinched the prize for the BEST SPEAKER in her category (Against). They were felicitated with Runners up Trophy and certificates for their commendable performance. These students have made us proud and brought laurels for the school. They were congratulated by the local management, Principal, teachers and students and everyone was delighted to hear this good news.

February 4-8, 2019: Road Safety Week

The school had celebrated Road Safety week in collaboration with Safety Department, KCW Plant. The students had participated in a Rally to create awareness among the resi-dents of the colony to follow road safety rules. The Principal also addressed the students and asked them to follow the traffic rules and wear helmet while riding their bicycles. He told them to be alert to avoid accidents.

It was or-ganized jointly by KCW Plant and Ms. Neha Khullar from Muskan NGO. They were shown a PPT which highlighted the importance of traffic rules and to avoid accidents. They were given a talk on Road Safety by Ms. Sulesh Choudhary, Additional SP Traffic & Highway. It was a highly informative ses-sion for the drivers and conductors. February 10, 2019: Saraswati Pooja

The school had celebrated Basant Panchmi with great excitement and enthusiasm. On this auspicious occasion a grand Saraswati Pooja was organized in the school. Smt. & Shri Vinay Bhalerao ji, Unit Head KCW Plant were the Chief Guest. Mr. M.L. Lahoti, Functional Head and other dignitaries attended the function. They participated in the Saraswati Pooja along with the Principal, teachers and students. Everyone prayed with great devotion to Goddess Saraswati to seek her blessings on this auspicious ocassion. The atmosphere was charged with positive energy and spiritual bliss created by the shlokas.The teachers and students presented bhajans. Later Prasad was distributed to all. We wish that Goddess Saraswati lead us towards enlightenment and bless all of us with her divine grace. It was a blissful occasion of joy, peace and spirituality.

February 13, 2019: Farewell Function for Class XII

The students of Class XI had organized a farewell function for the outgoing students of class XII. They were warmly welcomed in a traditional manner by their juniors. The function commenced by lighting the lamp to seek the blessings of Goddess Saraswati. . The students of class XI presented a short cultural program which consisted of dance, songs and a skit. The seniors enjoyed participating in the interesting games organised for them. The PPT made the students of class XII nostalgic, walking down the memory lane of their activities during their journey in the school. The Head Girl had addressed the gathering and thanked the Principal and teachers for their help, guidance and support. The Principal, Mr. Nurul Haque gave an inspiring speech and boosted the morale of the students to work hard and do their best in the board exams. He also advised the students to uphold the values of Aditya Birla Group and be a responsible citizen. On behalf of the institute, he wished them all the very best for their future endeavours and bring laurels to their school and family. Some senior teachers and students also expressed their feelings on this occasion. It was an emotional moment for all the students. The students of class XII carried fond memories of their school life and they were blessed by their teachers to excel in the fast approaching board examinations.

February 15-22, 2019: Eye Camp at BDM Hospital, Kotputli

Our school teachers Mr. Dinesh Singh Jadon and Mr. Ravi Sharma participated in the Eye Camp or-ganised by Grasim Jan Seva Trust, KCW Plant, Kotputli. Smt .Jayananda Bhaleraoji had taken the initiative to lead the program at BDM Hospital, Kotputli. The Functional Heads and other digni-taries were also present on this occasion. We joined hands with our group in this noble mission of providing eye care to the people of this region.

February 20, 2019: Winners of Drawing & Quiz Competition- Road Safety

The students of class V to X had participated in Drawing Competition which was organized by Safety Department of KCW Plant. The theme of the competition was Road Safety. From each class best three draw-ings were selected as the winners. All these students were given prizes in the morning assembly by the officers of Safety Department. The winners of the Quiz Competition were also felicitated and re-ceived the prizes. The students were motivated to follow road safety rules.

February 20, 2019: Winners of Poster Making Competition- Cyber Security Day

The students from class VI to X had participated in Poster Making Com-petition. The theme for the competition was Cyber Safety and Security. The students made beautiful poster related to cyber safety. The Winners of poster making competition and also the participants of the skit received prizes from the IT Department of KCW Plant.

February 20, 2019: Winners of Poster Making Competition- Safety Week

The Safety Department of KCW Plant had organized a poster making competition in the school during Safety Week Celebrations. The students from class I to X participated in it. The winners were given prizes. The results are as under:

February 23, 2019: Class Party for Junior Students

The students of class I to VI had participated in a get together which was organized by the Class Teachers. The students were very excited and happy. They had brought a variety of tasty dishes and shared with their class mates. They had invited their teachers to attend their class party. It was a fun filled day for the stu-dents.

February 26, 2019 Doctors Visit- Jarma Wellness, Mumbai

The school had organized health check-up for all the students from Pre- Primary to Class XII in the month of October. A team of doctors from Jarma Wellness, Mumbai had visited the school with the medical reports of the students and informed those stu-dents who needed to consult specialist for their different prob-lems. Some students were advised to consult dentist, ophthalmol-ogist etc. for further treatment. This initiative was one more step in the direction of promoting good health.

February 28, 2019 ABG Value Week Celebrations

The students of our school had participated in a rally which was orga-nized by KCW Plant to create awareness about the core values of Aditya Birla Group. The students held placards depicting values like Integrity, Passion, Commitment, Seamlessness and Speed. They wanted all the res-idents to understand the importance of these values in their life. The Principal, Mr. Nurul Haque had given a talk on ABG Values in a meeting to all the staff members and motivated them to imbibe these values in their professional and personal life and lead a righteous life.
