  • This Apprenticeship will develop your employees’ knowledge, skills and behaviours in the following areas:

    The Operations/Departmental Manager Apprenticeship has been designed for employees who currently manage teams and projects and are looking to develop their full range of skills, techniques and methods to manage people, develop relationships and deliver results.

    By strengthening their ability to think critically, your leaders will understand how best to apply their new knowledge to create and contribute to business improvement strategies.

    Course Overview

    Apprentix - flexible e-learning softwareApprentix is a collaborative e-learning and e-portfolio management system for apprenticeship training. It offers a user-friendly “Netflix-style” interface for apprentices, giving over 200 hours of high quality online learning for each standard.

    Apprentices have access to all the e-learning courses on the system free of charge in addition to the courses built into the apprenticeship package. These can be accessed online anytime, from anywhere, to meet your business needs and saving you time and money.

    By engaging NTG Training to deliver this apprenticeship programme, you can upskill your existing staff, or recruit and train new high-calibre apprentices by investing in their training and development.

    The duration of this apprenticeship is 18 months and is made up of 11 modules. These will be delivered through a blend of online, webinar and practical sessions, and regular 1-1 sessions and support from their tutor.

    What qualifications will you get?This course is designed with you in mind. We work with you to develop your employees and deliver up-to-date and relevant skills to enable them to support and manage teams throughout your company efficiently and effectively. Learners will get:

    • Operations/Departmental Manager Level 5 Standard• HABC Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management

    End Point AssessmentAfter 12 months the learner will have completed all modules on the course and the final 3 months will be dedicated to End Point Assessment. This will include:

    Portfolio The apprentice will be asked to put together a range of materials and documents generated over the period of the apprenticeship which provide evidence of the apprentice’s ability to apply and demonstrate management and leadership concepts.

    Knowledge testA series of different scenarios and situations will be used, with a series of questions to demonstrate the apprentice’s knowledge of a particular topic.

    Structured Competency Based InterviewThe knowledge requirements within the Standard will be tested using a structured series of questions to assess the apprentice’s knowledge to ensure all aspects are given coverage.

    Professional discussion relating to CPD activity The apprentice will provide evidence of any additional learning/CPD undertaken during the course. This may include:

    • Activity undertaken during the Level 5 Diploma • Details of any formal or informal learning undertaken• Details of any professional discussions undertaken, or support provided through Professional Bodies

    Presentation of work-based activity with Q&A sessionThis assessment should provide evidence of a business-related project that demonstrates the applications of their skills and knowledge.
