2.2 Edit the BRTU-93 TAU 2.2.1 TAU table set up for the OME6500 DCS: Note: The TID that is used in this example are based on the example drawings shown in figure 1-5.

Refer to REACT administrator for the assigned TID of each DCS. Enter Command: ED-DB-TAU::BUROMESONET:CTAG::TYPE=OME6500,JID=J46,

ADDRESS=172.25.73.140-23,CTYPE=SOCKET,PERSIST=YES; Enter Command: ED-DB-TAU::BUROMESONET:CTAG::UID=OSSDEV,PID=D9934REL3;

BUROMESONET = is the given Test Identifier for the DCS. This should match with the TID in REACT test resource set for that DCS and BRTU-93. TYPE = Access Type enter OME6500 (BRTU uses OME6500 TSC code for Nortel OME6500) JID = J46 as the TSC port ADDRESS= Address of the OME6500 with port 23

The OME6500 has only IP communication links that provide a TL1 interface, through the COLAN RJ45 ports on the access panel. The IP port is 23. (23 is the raw machine interface, 10020 is non-TL1, interactive command prompt.)

CTYPE= Connection Type (SOCKET) UID = OSSDEV (just an example can be case sensitive) PID = D9934REL3 (just an example can be case sensitve)

2.2.2 Retrieve the TAU Table: Enter Command: RTRV-DB-TAU::ALL:CTAG;

ILABBRTU01 07-06-29 08:43:04 M CTAG COMPLD /* TID TYPE REVISION AIDFMT ROUTE */ /* JID ADDRESS CTYPE PERSIST MAXCONN */ /* UID PID LOGIN */ " BUROMESONET OME6500 00.00 000 0 J46 172.25.73.140-23 SOCKET YES 1 OSSDEV D9934REL3 Y "

2.2.3 TAP Table Set Up

Edit the BRTU TAP table for DS3 testing via DS3 FAD for OME6500 by entering the following commands:

In our example the BRTU DS3 FAD card is inserted in slot 8 of the BRTU-93 shelf. Therefore when setting the TAP for the said DS3 FAD card TPID 4 will be use. See BRTU TPID assignment shown in the next page form more information on TPID assignment per slot of the BRTU-93 Enter Command: ED-DB-TAP::4:CTAG::TID=BUROMESONET,TAPID=STS1-1-1-1-1;

TID=BUROMESONET Test Identifier has to match with the TID set in the TAU table

for OME6500 DCS. TID used in this step are examples only.

TAPID=STS1-1-1-1-1 STS1-shelf#-slot#-port#-sts# shelf# = 1 to 36

slot# = 1 to 14 port# = 1 to 8, 101 to 164 sts# = 1 to 192

The TACCs use the same VT1/VT2/STS1 Facility AID to refer to the TACC. Two consecutive ports must be used where the lower one is used as <tap>.

2.2.4 Retrieve the TAP table: Enter Command: RTRV-DB-TAP::ALL:CTAG;

ALCATEL-LAB-BRTU 06-05-26 15:12:18 M D COMPLD /* TPID TID STATUS TAPID TAPID2 */ /* TYPE FR LC EQ TPA TCA */ /* CONCAID ACCESSRATE TAPTYPE TIMING S-TRACE */ /* OPTIONS */ " 4 BUROMESONET F STS1-1-1-1-1 OME6500 0 0 1 0 0 1 0 0 0 01
