Disruption to School Back GateDuring the holidays, a new concrete path will be laid along the inside fence at the rear gate of the school. We have contacted the council to ask if they could also replace the paved path that continues to the roadway at Elizabeth Close. We will keep you informed of their decision. During the last week of this term, our GA will be removing the pavers ready for the concreting. Please be aware of the changed conditions at the back gate and be as careful as you can. We hope to cause as little inconvenience as possible. Thank you for your patience.“Student-led interviews” or “3 Way Parent-Teacher-Student Interviews”This term we are trialling a new way of conducting parent-teacher interviews. Firstly, Term 3 parent-teacher interviews will instead be student led conferences and your child is expected to attend the conference with you. Your child, with guidance from their classroom teacher will discuss their progress towards achieving their learning goals, show evidence of achievement and share future learning goals. It is a great opportunity to celebrate growth in your child’s learning and achievements. Secondly, we are trialling an online booking system using the ‘School Interviews’ website. This means you can easily make appointments for all of your children online from your computer, tablet or smart phone. To make an appointment go to www.schoolinterviews.com.au/code and enter the code: wsqed1. Enter your details2. Select the teachers you wish to see3. Select the appointment times that suit your family bestWhen you click ‘finish’ your selected bookings will be emailed to you immediately. If you do not receive your email, please check your junk-mail, or enter the event code again and check your email address spelling. Update your details if email address is incorrect. DO NOT DELETE the email you receive. Keep it somewhere safe. You may need to refer back to it at a later date. Fairy GardenThanks to the creativity, planning and hard work of Mrs Wallace, our school now boasts our very own absolutely gorgeous fairy garden. It’s adjacent to our school garden and provides a quiet place for young children to look, imagine, dream and wish. Well done and thank you Mrs Wallace!
