Laptop Basic Information

• Leased—no cost to parents

• Only cost will be the laptop bag

• Students will take them home every

night and weekend

• Must be charged at home

• Returned at the end of May

Laptop User Agreement

• Warranty covers manufacturer’s defects

• Student will follow Standards of Proper Care

• Student is responsible for backing up files

• Family is responsible for cost of replacement if laptop lost or stolen

• Family responsible for cost of damage due to student misuse or negligence

• Needs padding

Security

• New locks on student lockers

• Students will keep them in eye

contact or in their lockers at

school.

• Take them home every night and

weekend.

Anti-Theft Software

• Each computer will have anti-theft

software installed.

• Laptops can be tracked.

• Missing laptops must be reported

immediately.

• Police will be notified and track the

laptop.

Student Responsability

• Students are administrators of their

own machines

• AOSR will troubleshoot minor issues

• If necessary machines will be

reinstalled

• Student files should be backed up

off the machine
