The Languages of Leadership is very diverse. No one theory or model can predict effective leadership, nor is there a particular trait or behavior that ensures leadership success. Yet the best leaders often do have common characteristics and competencies. The 2017 SHRM Guam Chapter Annual Conference, entitled “Languages of Leadership” will focus on these characteristics and competencies to set the stage for being a more effective leader. The competencies needed to run and actually build a strong company are not innate. It is a process that involves failures and mistakes and developing the self-awareness needed for personal and professional improvement. In the “Languages of Leadership” conference, HR and business professionals will be taken through the following sessions: Morning Session

The Human Resources Competency Model, with emphasis on Leadership and Navigation (Jon Decoteau, SHRM-SCP, Divisional Director of the West SHRM National Chapter)

Five Habits of Destructive (HR) Leaders (Jon Decoteau, Divisional Director of the West SHRM National Chapter)
