clerical staff, but not innovative and dynamic
leaders. According to him, knowledge,
analytical skills, patience, discipline and
confidence are a few essential qualities for
good teachers. He remarked the profession
of teaching as ‘the noblest’ of all and urged
the faculty to evolve an effective training
system which could churn out social engineers
and world class managers, but not engineers
in technical sense.
The Guest of honor, Prof. A. Prasanna Kumar
urged the faculty to focus more on the
employability skills of the students. He
cautioned that the rise in unemployment
among the qualified Indian youth could be a
threat not only to India, but to the entire world
as it may breed fundamentalist and anti –social
elements.
