English Hieroglyphics Mesopotamia

Letters are not used as pictures and can’t represent objects

Lettered can be used to represent pictures. (Only when they used pictographs)

Some pictures stood for ideas, a circle meant Re (a god)

Letters represent sounds, sounds ads grouped into syllables and syllabus are grouped into words. Words represent objects and ideas.
