Oral Presentation
To demonstrate the learning you gained from your research, you will
be presenting your research information in front of the class through an oral presentation.
•Show understanding through detailed explanation and examples
•Target length (5 minutes)
Oral Presentation
Your Oral presentation is a way to TEACH us by describing and explaining your topic. It is NOT a simple reading of your research paper!
Helpful Hints:•Use your outline as a guide to the order of your presentation
•Write out your outline on note cards along with any specific details that may be hard to remember
•Plan when you are going to show and explain your visual aid
•Let me know which props or technology you will need
•Practice aloud at home
Oral Presentation
Your presentation will be graded on the following characteristics:
Content – Your presentation shows a deep understanding of the content
Preparedness – You are completely prepared and have obviously rehearsed
Posture/Eye Contact – You stand up straight, look confident and relaxed. You make eye contact with others and use a clear, loud voice.

Web-Based ResearchThe purpose of online research is to
gather information about your topic from a variety of sources. You will be responsible for keeping track of your sources just like you will be for book-based information. I will have specific forms for you to keep track
of your online research.
