Did you know...

Over a recent three yearperiod, VEKA reduced its

carbon emissions by2,208 tonnes

VEKA has long led the world in the environmentally responsible use of PVC-U, showing areal commitment to minimising its environmental impact at every stage frommanufacture, fabrication and home energy efficiency to recycling.

Virgin skin ensures perfectaesthetics on Infinity profiles

At our recycling plants we process old windows to such apurity we can make new windows, rather than lower gradeproducts. We believe it is only ‘true’ recycling when it is aclosed loop process, extending a window’s life to atheoretical infinity.

Our Infinity range of recycled profiles has notched up manyenvironmental firsts of its own since its launch in 2010,including it being the first recycled window to beretro-fitted into a home and the product of choice for thefirst Borough in the UK to commit to all futurereplacement windows being recycled.

We extend our environmental thinking beyond ourproducts too: all our transport routes are carefully planned

to cut mileage and reduce emissions and all vehicles in ourfleet are able to carry more products than the industryaverage in order to make every trip as efficient as possible.

We constantly review the way we work and throughvarious energy saving measures in our productiondepartment, VEKA has recently saved 2,208 tonnes ofcarbon over a three year period.

VEKA has also shown its commitment to the environmentby being among the first in the industry to throw out leadstabilisers in favour of the Calcium Organic alternative, and is accredited to ISO 14001 (EnvironmentalManagement Systems Licence No EMS 59308).

VEKA's Environmental Firsts:

Our Infinity system was the first recycled window system to befitted into a domestic property and the first recycled system tobe chosen for a large scale social housing project.

The VEKA UK Group has become one of the first major systemscompanies to be granted the new BRFC 'A+' licenses.

VEKA created the industry's first 'A' ratedwindow in conjunction with along-standing VEKA fabricator.

We were the first systems company toestablish a closed-loop recycling system.
