City Palace was built by the Maharana Udai Singh. It is located on the east bank of the Lake Pichola and has several palaces built within its complex.

The palace is built in a flamboyant style and is considered the largest of its type in Rajasthan. It is built on a hill top that gives a panoramic view of the

city and its surrounding.

Lake Palace was formerly known as Jag Niwas & was built by Maharana Jagat Singh II. The palace has now been converted into a luxury hotel, but

it still manages to attract the maximum tourist inflow, mainly due to its prime location.

The Jagdish Temple is a large Hindu temple which was built by Maharana Jagat Singh 1st. The temple is a great example of architecture and art.

Fateh Sagar Lake is an artificial lake that was constructed by Maharana in north of Lake Pichola. It is one of the four lakes of the Udaipur city; the

other three lakes are: the Lake, Udai Sagar Lake and Dhebar Lake or Jaisamand Lake.

Lake Pichola is an artificial fresh water lake named after the nearby Picholi village. The lake is primarily famous for the four islands it houses. Jag Niwas,

where Lake Palace is built, Jag Mandir, with the palace of the same name, Mohan Mandir, from where the king would watch the annual Gangaur festival

celebration & Arsi Vilas, a small island which was an ammunition depot, but also a small palace.

Kumbhalgarh Wildlife Sanctuary: Spread across 578 km², this sanctuary is home to a very large variety of wildlife, some of which are highly endangered

species.

Chittorgarh: Located 112 km from Udaipur, Chittorgarh is most renowned for the Chittorgarh Fort that is built on hill top.

Ranakpur – It is a village that is home to one of the most

important Jain temples across India.
