Our Visiting Cellist, Makiko Tomita, was born in Tokyo, earned a Master of Music degree from Tokyo University of Arts, and furthered her cello studies at the Franz Liszt Academy of Music in Budapest under László Mező, the cellist of the Bartók String Quartet. Ever since, for more than ten years, she has been active in solo recitals and in a production entitled "The Concert where You Can Taste the Richness of Chamber Music."
