AMU MBA Exams syllabus
Objective:To test candidates awareness of the developments in the political,
social, technological and economic environments both in the Indian and
International contexts.
Contents: Characteristics of Indian , basic economic indicators, industrial, trade,scal, budgetary and monetary policies, Indian banking system and its functioning,
awareness about corporate sector, Indian and international trade, economic
agreements, changes in political, technological and cultural environments.
B. Quantitative and Numerical Ability:
Objective:To udge candidates ability to use the fundamental and standard
procedure in arithmetic, algebra, geometry and other branches of mathematics andto ascertain logical thinking, accuracy and speed in applying the basic skills of
mathematics.
Contents:!lementary "rithmetic # percentage, ratio, proportion time and distance,
relative speed, time and work, interest, stocks, shares and discount, rules of
divisibility, $C% and &C', power, exponents and roots( !lementary algebra #
algebraic e)uations( !lementary geometry # angle, line, polygon, solids, cylinders,
perimeter, volume, circles, tangent to circle, sphere, etc.( linear and )uadratic
e)uations( *asics of trigonometry and coordinate geometry.
C. Compreension and !erbal Ability:
Objective:To test a candidates skill of )uick comprehension and verbal ability #
both of which re+ect a persons ability to understand facts faster than hisher peers
and also hisher skill in organising thoughts and expressing them in a clear manner.
Contents:Comprehension at paragraph and sentence level, identication of
mistakes( grammar and usage( -ocabulary # word formation, synonyms, antonyms,
pairing of words, analogies, sentence structure and construction, active and passive
voice, prepositions, completion of sentences, etc.

Objective:To assess the logical and reasoning capabilities of the candidate i.e. the
ability to comprehend, evaluate, and deduce in a logical manner.
Contents:This may include verbal reasoning and verbal analogy, letter series,
number series, coding and decoding, logical diagrams, and syllogism, etc.
E. Analysis and %nterpretation o& "ata:

Objective:To test the ability to interpret a given set of data for decision making or
similar applications. It checks the awareness of methods used in representing data
and various techni)ues in analysis and interpretation of data.
Contents:ets # /nion and intersection( fre)uency and class intervals, cumulative
fre)uencies, and various types of graphic diagrams used in interpretation( *asic of
probability( and 0ermutation and combination.
Exam pattern
The duration of the exam is 1 hrs. The candidates are udged in the areas
of'eneral a(areness) data interpretation) numerical ability)
compreension and verbal ability. The application forms are available on
website of the university i.e www."mucontrollerexams.com. The aspirants have to
download the application form lled it properly and send it to the desired address
with the re)uired amount of application fee. The aspirants need to submit only
one application form even if he want admission in more than one courses.
