TYPES OF FABRICS

• Plant fibers : Cotton,Linen

• Protein fibers : Silk,Wool

• Man made fibers : Acetate,Acrylic,Nylon,Polyester,Rayon

( WET WASH ) NORMAL WASH & DRY

• This process depends on water & mechanical action with the addition of a detergent.

• Agitate and flex the cloth to break apart solids,which constitutes the dirt & smell .

DRYCLEANING

• Cleaning process using an organic solvent tetrachloroethylene (perchloroethylene ) rather than water.

• This is necessary for delicate fabrics that will be damaged by using water.

IRONING

•Make sure iron is hot enough for the fabric to remove wrinkles.

•Delicate fabrics will require a press cloth or iron shoe.or the fabric will get scorched leaving a ‘shine’.

•Use spray starch for crispiness but not too much or the fabric will wrinkle easily.
